It was my first time going to Paul Mitchell School, (second time getting my hair done at a salon), and my experience was great! I did wait longer than expected to be seated as others who came in after me were being attended to. I think I waited almost 40 minutes. Not sure what happened there, but the lady at the front desk was helpful and saw that I got a stylist to assist me. My stylist was Dakota and she was super sweet and awesome! My hair is naturally curly, (like Merida kind of curly), so it’s harder to work with. However, Dakota did a stunning job! She trimmed my hair quite evenly, considering how curly it is, and then she washed it a second time, coiled it, and diffused it for more defined curls. I had a separate appointment right after so we were on a time crunch and another stylist helped coil my hair. I believe his name was Julio, so shout out to him as well! Highly recommend Paul Mitchell School!

Paul Mitchell is a great place to go get your hair washed and blow dried. The students are very friendly and the instructors make sure to oversee everything. Highly recommend!

Been coming here to get my blonding done since the end of April. My friend who dyed my hair blonde the first time I came in as a guest did an amazing job, then the last 2 times I came in, one of her friends has been taking care of me with my blonde touch ups and she also has done an amazing job, and everyone there has been nothing but super friendly and nice. Then with me being a Paul Mitchell alumni/graduate, it definitely brings back memories from when I was going to school there everytime I come in, and seeing everyone who is still working there when I was a student there and the fact that they recognize and remember me makes it even better 🥰💕 and it's also given me a chance to meet some new people there as well ❤️

Love love love this salon. Of course the price is right! The cosmetologist was Stephanie. She did a terrific job. I have gone back several times and will continue to do so. If I wanted a bad haircut I would have told my wife to cut my hair. Can’t believe you are charging people for bad haircut. The student that cut my hair need more training and I can’t believe he is going to be done next month. His hands were shaking and look scared when cutting hair. Never coming back again.

My appointment was at 6 p.m. they got started @ 6:15 p.m. they started by putting bleach to lighten my hair 2 girls had to work on my hair because one girl was not fast enough it was 9 p.m. when the were done putting bleach they left it in for 40 min not under a dryer. Put my root color on within the 40 min. My hair did not lightened enough because it was not left on long enough due to the school closing at 10 p.m.so I paid extra 8 dollars for every extra bowl of bleach they used and they used 5 extra bowls. Mind you it's not a full bowl it's 1/4 of a bowl. I wanted the top of my hair to match the bottom of my hair the bottom was lighter. The pattern they used per instructor was weave and slice why ? The top of my hair is dark brown now I have little strands of hair that are slightly lighter with dark hair.. I paid 90 dollars.

Been a patron for years, but won't be returning. It's evident that there's a need for improvement in the salon's customer service and pricing strategy. Specifically, there should be a focus on training staff and hair representatives in essential soft skills, such as smiling and greeting, from all staff members, both at the front and back. Creating a welcoming atmosphere is crucial to avoid pushing clients away with inflated egos and high prices. The recent experience included a discrepancy between the quoted price over the phone and the actual pricing upon arrival. This inconsistency, combined with rude treatment and discomfort for my daughter, was disappointing. The sudden increase in prices, especially exceeding $200-300 for hair color and styling, seems excessive, especially considering the students' lack of licensing and experience. It's recommended that the salon reevaluates its pricing structure, considering the skill level of its staff. Offering fair and transparent pricing is essential for building trust with customers. Additionally, comprehensive training for staff and hair representatives in customer service soft skills is vital. Ensuring a positive and respectful customer experience will contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty. Addressing these issues will not only prevent customer dissatisfaction but also enhance the overall success and reputation of the salon. In the end, my daughter had to settle for just a wash and blowout, which cost $60 in a student salon and they wanted to charge us even more than that I loterally had to fight back and say no – a questionable pricing decision.

I visited the salon hoping for a simple trim, considering the friendly staff, albeit composed entirely of students. Unfortunately, my experience took a downturn as the student stylist cut off 2-3 inches instead of the requested 1 inch, leaving my hair much shorter than intended and affecting my confidence. During the session, there was minimal communication with the stylist, which should have been a red flag. It turned out she was having a difficult day, as informed by other stylists. She stopped cutting my hair midway, and another woman had to step in to finish the job. Consequently, the left side is uneven, with different cut styles throughout, featuring large chunks of random straight cuts. Overall, I would not recommend this salon to anyone who isn't a risk-taker. Despite assuming the risks associated with student stylists, the outcome wasn't worth it. While I hope the original stylist is having a better day, it's crucial not to start a cut with a client if there's doubt about the physical or mental capability to handle it. Clients may value their hair more than you realize, as one hour of inconvenience for you can translate to 2-3 months of suffering for them.

I've moved from LA years ago and still haven't found a local stylist so I recently had scheduled an appointment with Alexis for a scalp treatment and cut. I had asked this student to do many things she hadn't yet such as cutting curtain bangs, and thinning my hair. While it took much longer than a typical appointment (mostly my fault for being chatty) she did phenomenally and I'm very happy with the results!

PLEASE READ!.. Don’t blame the students doing a bad hair job BLAME THE INSTRUCTORS!!.. They are always chatting and socializing on the floor between them MEANWHILE THE STUDENTS ARE CHECKING YOUTUBE VIDEOS ON HOW TO DO CERTAIN HAIR JOB!!… Why?..Because they don’t have the support from the instructors and yet they increased their prices!.. Unprofessional YES IT seems that they get pay to hung out at work!… I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR ALL THOSE STUDENTS THAT PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR NOTHING!… Don’t give your money to this school that don’t even have parking for their students!!.. You have to walk at nigth and on rainy days too!…

To anyone looking to start school as a cosmetologist, I 100% do NOT recommend as a former student. First the owners of the school don’t let their students park, so you pay thousands of dollars to have to park across the street in all weather conditions. Second, the education you receive is horrible. They don’t teach you a lot of the things you hope to learn in school. Most of my learning came from experiences outside of school or TikTok and YouTube. They teach you basic haircuts and coloring. The videos they use to teach you with are very old and outdated, so you can imagine what they teach you are outdated trends. Third, the learning leaders (teachers) are horrible as well, if ONE of them doesn’t like you all of them gang up on you and you can clearly tell they don’t like you. They don’t help out when you’re doing services. They tend to disappear without letting you, so if you try to find them for help you can’t, it’s like all they get paid to do is socialize and be on their phone. They really need to do better! Because we as students pay a lot to be given less than the bare minimum and to not be helped.

Trust me when I say do not come here any services. They are horrible when it comes to scheduling appointments, have you wait an extra 25 minutes, they told me that they didnthavr time to dry my hair so I just smiled and walked out of the place because its a joke. I wouldn't give this place a single star.
