The front desk is very rude, not attentive, and always on personal calls. My sister came in and was denied service because she had her newborn baby, which clients always bring children and babies in as I was told. The way the situation was handled was very unprofessional and rude. They also don’t know how to do any type of textured hair. The teachers are not good or attentive. I was so disappointed every time I came in. Do not come to this school for ANY service nor attend school here. Would not recommend the school is only good for the name nothing else!!

I have been going to Paul Mitchell now for a little over two years. I get a new stylist every 4 months or so because they graduate and move on. My current stylist, Lyz C. graduates soon and I will miss her so much. She has helped me now at least half a dozen times. She cuts my hair of course, but she also does a nice job of trimming up my beard. Lyz is always professional but also friendly. I enjoy her cutting my hair. She may be the first stylist that gets me to leave Paul Mitchell to follow them to their next career spot.

I had gone once about a year ago and they told me my hair was too dark to bleach at the moment due to dye and so i worked on stripping it and came back for just a cut and someone told me it would be possible to bleach it enough so i could do a brightish color and today i went and they could barely get it any lighter than my current. (my natural color in photo)

I went for a haircut today, but the front desk staff member was engaged in a personal call when I arrived. Despite my efforts to get her attention, she ignored me until I spoke up, at which point she refused service, claiming that they had already cleaned up and were preparing to close. This experience was disappointing, especially given the hour remaining before closing time.

I went to see if I wanted to enroll in this school and try out the services. I seriously should have left the second I sat down in the chair. I called ahead and explained everything I needed exactly, and was quoted $80. When I was there and sat down they hiked it up to $110. I asked for a root retouch and a cut. I get my hair has two different colors so they go based on product used. So instead of just my roots they do my entire hair and COMPLETELY MESSED UP MY BLONDE I HAD BEFORE. Now instead of blonde, I have orange. They used 3 bowls of product and gave the last bowl away to another stylist but charged me for it still. My stylist seriously pulled my hair so frequently that I seriously felt like my hair was being yanked out with the bleach. Even after speaking and arguing about the prices and all that, nothing was done. If I had shown up with what money they told me, I would have been screwed. By the end of my entire appointment I still paid the tab and tipped (because I get anxious about that stuff) but I seriously shouldn’t have had to pay that. I won’t be enrolling in a scam, and I won’t be going back to get this touched by them again. If it wasn’t bad enough 5 different people wanted to “help” and it turned out like this… Update 5 days later and I’m having to get the scabs from my bleaching healed. I said it burned and itched and they added more bleach after. I get what yall went for but no. I’m gonna need that money back instead.

I have been twice and have been happy in the past with my coloring services. This time I was not happy and wasn’t even able to get my hair colored even though I made an appointment. 😡 Made my appointment at 5:30 pm.I got there and checked in at 5:35 pm. I sat and waited 20 minutes until 5:55 pm and the receptionist informs me that because I was 5 minutes late I cannot be seen to get my roots touched up. Again, I was checked in and sat for 20 minutes for her to tell me that they can’t do anything since I was 5 minutes late. I not only left work early, but drove 20 minutes to get here, and THEY made me wait 20 minutes just to tell me they can’t do my appointment. I was very happy in the past with their services, but this was not cool. I get it since I was 5 minutes late, but they made me think I was checked in and said someone would be with me shortly, just to have the receptionist have me wait TWENTY minutes to tell me they can’t do my hair. Not very professional. She should have told me at the check in that I would need to reschedule since I was 5 minutes late and not make me wait twenty minutes after saying she checked me in to come tell me they can’t do my hair. 😡 Not very professional. Again, I’m not mad that they wouldn’t do my hair for me being 5 minutes late, I’m upset that they checked me in and waited 20 minutes to come tell me they won’t do my root touch up. I will update this if they address my problem and make things right in the future.

Very displeased to pay $25 for a hair cut/beard trim that the trainer done most of and ended up having to go to another place to get it fixed... I suggest going to Clara barber college instead. WAY cheaper and better.

I gave it a day to try to cool down, but every time I look in the mirror I get more ticked off. I very clearly, and multiple times, said I wanted an asymmetrical cut with it longer in the front. The student did fine with the back, then 'Aaron' the "teacher" was too busy flirting with all the girls/students that he quickly chopped the front of my hair off (about 3 inches too short) before I could say anything. My hair is very short all the way around, looks terrible, and is now unfixable. Never again.

I loved my stylist. The receptionist how ever was not at all knowledgeable about the program. We were here for family and friends night for the men's hair cut. The first men's hair cut for the stylist new to the floor is free. It has been this way for years. She goes "is this a new promotion that I don't know about?" I go nope its always been this way. She goes yea I doubt that. I'll have to ask and confirm if we can grant you this "free" haircut. So very rude and unknowledgable. The haircut was amazing though! Thank you Faith for doing my son's haircut. Oh and I wasn't allowed to watch him get his hair cut or answer any questions since I'm not a student or teacher just a parent. Had to wait in the waiting area. Something to keep in mind if you are wanting to get your little ones done here....you are going to be separated.

THIS PLACE HORRIBLE!! THEY DO NOT PRACTICE AFRICAN AMERICAN HAIR. SEEMS TO ONLY KNOW 1 TECNIQUE SILK PRESS. FAKE SORRYS THEY DIDNT EVEN WANT TO ACCOMINADATE EVEN IF HAD TOO… NO KIDS YALL… ITS FOR CAUCASIAN FOLKS ONLY!! THO CLARY SAGE COLLAGE IS THE PLACE TO BE SO LETS GO! LESSON LEARNED! Had a student who had done my hair two times before. Then after 2 months of trying to make a new appointment with her she kept canceling on me. Then she messaged me that she didn't feel like we had a ' vibe'! I didn't know we had to vibe for her to do my hair. I Never fought with her AND EVEN SENT HER MORE BUSINESS. I will be filing a complaint for sure. Not because she didn't want to do my hair but because she put me through this for 2 months of last minute cancellations instead of just telling me the probelm upfront. Us not having a vibe isn't an issues.

Called to make sure they could see my grandson for school haircut. Got there in about 20 minutes, it is across town. No one was able to cut his hair. There for a few haircut, used fuel to be able to aggies the cut.

Friendly beauticians. Instructor was very attentive. Helped right away. Many smiles. Given hair tips. Hairdresser explained the hair washing process as well as other things. Chloe loves what she does, because it shows. I'll definitely be back soon..

Had an appointment at 11:30 I arrived at 11:15 and checked in. Watched the front desk leave with my paper to give to the student came back. At 11:40 I was informed that the student got “confused on times” and went to lunch and would be back in 20 minutes so I waited at 12:20 I finally asked to speak with someone who was in charge. I was then informed that because it is a school they have to let their students eat lunch and I agree they should but I also believe that when someone is informed they have an appointment and they choose to go to lunch with friends it is a disregard for the person waiting for the appointment and puts a bad taste in your mouth for the company as a whole. It was completely disrespectful and unprofessional for someone knowing they had an appointment to decide to walk out and go eat cause she wanted to go with her friends. I will find somewhere else to go from now on

I told the girl to stop getting dye all over me she refused to by the time they where done i have dye on my kneck stuck on my face etc and they say they have stuff to remove it well that dont work if you leave it on my skin for 2 or 3 hours of course you useless product isnt going to remove dye. And the staff dont care when you tell them something is wrong

If you are a single parent or parent that has no child care whatsoever. Please don’t waste your time here. They will refuse service to you. I had not had a haircut in years because I have no child care. My kid is now 4 and can handle sitting with her pad for an hour. Yet it wasn’t good enough because they refused me services because I didn’t have someone to watch my kid. Just be aware if this is situation. I wasted time, has, and excitement. Also, as I was arriving there was a woman outside, complaining how the school was being horrible to her and trying to charge her for services. They couldn’t provide either. So overall I would just stay far away from this place.

Man I love the team especially Natasha she is awesome and Christina man she is just a Lil lady but the best ever when I came here I was lost and missed my mom so much I was so depressed but my daughter started coming to Paul Mitchell and told me I would like it she was right the open the doors and hearts to me when I was in a dark place so yess this is an awesome place to get a great education

My friend was a student here and she would cut my hair when I was 16 and 17. She is very talented and knew how to layer and trim my hair the correct way which gave me a really cool ‘rockstar’ look. It was always hard finding someone good enough to cut my soft bouncy curly brown hair the right way and I also always appreciated the chic and ambient atmosphere this place has.

Really bad job done, I ask for a blonde, and I get a dark brown, I have been trying really hard for the last 2 years to get my hair blonde and I was almost there. I want to try it with someone else this time and now I am back to brown, I dont know what toner or what they did different but I lost my blonde at all

That place is a scam! The students are great, but the teachers are a joke. My daughter in law goes there and they have 4 days a week where they have to be there and nothing is taught unless you want to pay more and do extra classes. The instructors walk off when being asked a questioned which makes it really hard to do clients hair if you need some instruction and get ignored . I saw it three times when I was there as a customer. Those poor students just need direction and the instructors tell them I can’t right now while walking by their stations. In the whole school, there is one teacher that will actually help when asked. That is not acceptable it is a SCHOOL where you LEARN!! It’s just a really bad experience for the students with no real education and teachers thinking they are above helping the “students”. It’s all about the money and name but nothing else!!!!

Don't waste your time or money going to school here!!! It was approximately $21,000 down the drain! Not to mention, my daughter lived an hour away, so she had to drive to school mon-fri.....fuel was outrageous at the time! She learned absolutely NOTHING!!! It truly broke my heart for her. I have no idea how they get away with it, but they do. I'm calling today to see what, if anything, I can do to help someone else from falling into the same trap!

The whole experience at Paul Mitchell School has been extraordinary. I booked late Friday afternoon and I had my appointment the next morning. Ellie was phenomenal and soon to be graduating with honors. Tina, Ellie’s learning leader gave confident and knowledgeable instruction My color, cut was beyond my expectation. KUDOS!! Ellie P. along with staff and future stylists. I would recommend anyone to have the true Paul Mitchell School experience.
