I visited this salon for the first time on Saturday since I couldn't get an appointment at my usual place. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and tidy it is. The owner was easy to communicate with and did an excellent job accommodating my specific requirements, especially for Asian hair types. Additionally, he was punctual, so I received my service right on time. Overall, a very satisfying experience.

Great cut. Fast and friendly. I asked about a certain style and Paul gave his professional recommendation that due to my head shape, hair condition, etc. it may not be the best fit. He suggested alternative styles that would compliment my features and I was very happy with the cut. He cares about his clients and is detailed in his craft. Glad I found this shop!

Please make sure always ask price before you get your hair cut done or hair style, otherwise it’s very likely he is going to rip you off.

This place is so rip off!!! Don’t waste your money and time with this Salon! $30 for guys hair cut. He doesn’t have any passion for his job. Act like whatever not styling well no good lining. The salon is so dark not enough light and not clean. No wash no gel nor wax for $30 too much. No sanitizing comb brush any of their equipment. Their brushes has other peoples hair in it so nasty. I will not comeback for haircut again. It is not about how fast you can cut people’s hair. You need to have more passion and communication with the customer. This place used to be Mak’s hair salon. Do not be confused like I did.

Got an amazing cut! I have really thick Asian hair and in STL summer it was just too much hair for me, too hot. So Paul trimmed it really good, helped me with too much volume. Price was affordable for a student an he was really nice. Definitely will come back!

Unhappy with the haircut. Paul didn't listen to what I wanted and left my hair too short. It took years to grow, only to be ruined in minutes. Previous cuts were good, but recent experiences have been disappointing. Wouldn't recommend.

A very mid-tier cut. His skill is okay, but as a customer you feel very rushed and little attention to feedback is given on the haircut. I decided to make a farther drive to try a different barber and I haven't gone back.

Paul did a great job! I brought reference pictures, and he was realistic with me about if my hair would look like the pictures considering my hair texture (naturally straight and thin but dense). I settled on a specific picture that he said could be achieved, and he was able to do it. He also suggested thinning out my hair due to how dense and heavy it was, which was a great idea because it feels way lighter now but still doesn't look sparse. I originally made an appointment here because I wanted a digital perm, and after trying a few things with my hair, Paul said it wouldn't work but was willing to test a piece anyway (he was right - my hair did not hold a curl). The strands he tested broke later that day, so I am very grateful that he had suggested testing a small section instead of just doing the perm on all of my hair at once. Also, the haircut was super affordable. Usually I leave salons unsatisfied, but I am so pleased with the work Paul did!

Paul was professional and very knowledgeable in what I was looking for. Very happy with the results. He even texted me later in the day with additional tips to maintain.
