Great peaceful experience in the float pods! I didnt even feel the hour in there! I just wish the pod water was hotter, i think the effects would’ve been more profound for me. Much needed pain killer though!

Avoid this spa. the staff here are not properly trained and it is run incredibly poorly. You are putting yourself at risk when you go here. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Clean facility and friendly staff. However, the infrared sauna in room 3 only goes up to 150F. I barely broke a sweat. When I told the staff member she said “oh ok we’ll see you again next time.” The front desk is friendly but they’re just clueless lol. Anyway, nice facility but the saunas are a joke.

DO NOT GO HERE. This place is awful and incredibly poorly run. I went here for the sauna & ice bath experience. When I arrived, the staff gave me no explanation of the service and no warnings about potential dangers. Due to the poor spacing and layout, I ended up getting a huge burn on my hip and thigh. There was a huge exposed heated grate just at hip level and not a single sign was posted warning that it was scorching and no one told me to look out for it and avoid it. What’s insane is that not a single staff member offered to help after I ended up getting second degree burns. They didn’t even give me an ice pack or offer me a first aid kit. They constantly gave me the run around and ignored my efforts to reach out. I am so horrified and disappointed with this place. Beware and just choose one of the other hundreds of spas in the area. I’m now left with a giant scar that was totally unnecessary and avoidable if they had just done their jobs.

I had a wonderful experience here getting an NAD shot for mitochondrial support. Staff were warm and welcoming. The nurse was very sweet and knowledgeable. They had me talk to a PA first as part of their safety measures. I was offered a delicious ginger tea while waiting. When I went there was a promotion for 1st time customers. Street parking was easy.

I got a promotional email on 4/4 where Pause offered NAD+ shots for $35 all month. There was no asterisk, no fine print, no "while supplies last" and no exclusions or limitations listed ANYWHERE in the email. I went to the studio today and they refused to honor the advertised price, even though they had the shots in stock. They said that they had stopped the promotion early because of high demand, and that the price was only for a limited amount of shots. Again, this was not listed in the email, nor had they communicated in any way that the promotion had ended early. I asked them to honor the price anyway since no limitations were listed in the email, but they refused. I know that I as have rights as a consumer and that there are laws that require businesses to honor advertised promotions as long as there are no hidden terms or conditions that weren't disclosed. Since this business failed to honor the promotion as advertised, I am currently looking into exactly what my rights are, and I will file a complaint with the LA county consumer and business affairs.

Do not come here! Worst customer experience and they are stealing money from customers. Backstory: I bought a 10 pack for sauna and plunge, and after me going a handful of times they told me I was done with them. I wasn’t counting exactly how many times I had been there so I trusted the information was right. They asked if I wanted to buy another package (this time a 5 pack) since I had finished them. I agreed. Come to find out that apparently I HAD NOT finished my 10 pack and they just sold me an unnecessary package. I told them I didn’t need the extra package since the information they gave me was wrong. The manager Jackie kept insisting that I must have bought the 5 pack since it was on special after I told her 10 times that I bought it because they told me I was done with my 10 pack. She kept repeating herself and I asked her if she could just convert the packages to IV drips since they gave me wrong information. She refused. Clearly they must not being doing well if they are lying about packages being up when they aren’t and aren’t willing to convert packages. Donated the money to them as a charity act since apparently it’s operation isn’t doing well.

First of all you’re lucky that this is a review and not a lawsuit. I experienced the most negligent egregious malpractice that I’ve ever seen in any health facility. We booked for a cold plunge , sauna , crio therapy and IV drip. The “nurse” who was supposed to administer the IV drip, took 30 minutes to “get it right “ and then the horror….she left, so when the IV was done my blood started bleeding into the IV tube, I couldn’t just plug it off cause the blood would pretty much splatter everywhere. I literally had to beg for a customer to go look for the nurse as my blood was getting water into the tube. When she came back, no apologies just tried to act like it was normal. Keep up with your incompetence and soon it will catch up with you. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Relaxing sauna experience and very reasonably priced. Removed two stars due to overall cleanliness. Sauna strongly smelled like a gym and there was a chunk of hair in the shower.

Nurse missed my vein, filled my arm with IV. My arm burned and swelled, she told me it would go away in 2-3 minutes… 24 hours later, still in pain with swelling. Upon second opinion, this will take up to a week to resolve and if I hadn’t noticed the swelling it could have been a serious problem considering what was in the IV (like calcium etc) extravasation. They were super nonchalant about the situation and unclear. When I emailed them about it… they basically just said “we have a waiver for this”. I paid for this horrible experience (no refunds) and now I’m dealing with several days of pain from what is supposed to be a good experience in a relaxing place. The email I got felt defensive rather than helpful. I was really excited for this place. It has such a great vibe and such cool amenities, but I will likely not return because I felt the nurse did not have great experience and the way they handled it was also not great. I did learn through this experience that there can be some dangerous effects from simple IV therapy if they miss the vein, so I will also prob do this less in the future in general or be more careful about who does it.

Today was my first time doing a flotation session and it was a great experience. I have heard many great things about the health benefits of sensory tanks so I’ve been wanting to experience one for a long time. I was worried that my height, 6’3”, would mean I was too big for the tank but that was not the case. Ian was also very polite and walked me through the whole experience and what to expect. They offer many services but today I booked the sensory tank to recover from some long, recent hikes and workouts. They selected the pod for me and I was able to fit in it although if you are 5’9” or shorter it would be especially pleasant because you would touch the edges less as you float around. The water is extremely dense with salt so you don’t need a pillow you float right on the top. I suggest turning off the lights and music as floating in darkness and silence is transportive. Make sure to keep the ear plugs in the entire float session and keep a hand towel inside the tank on the handle in case you need to wipe your face. Also another bonus that after you get out your skin is especially smooth. As I was showering and finishing up I can verify that the machine cycles the water through as I watched it work. Overall great experience and I plan to try it again in the near future.

Went for a sensory deprivation tank session with two other friends. If you do the intro 3x1 package, you save $20! The vibes were great, at no point were we rushed. Plus, they had many items to take the experience home.

I love Pause! I had my first float since pre pandemic and its everything I remembered. Relaxing and centering. The staff is always super friendly and helpful and the westside location is decorated beautifully. The facility is emaculate and has a good energy♡

I love this place! It’s a happy place when you need a time out, digital detox or just to get away from home for an hour. The float pods and room are amazing. You can float in silence or listen to a guided meditation or calming music. The infrared sauna and plunge pool feel sooooo good, especially after a workout or on a chilly day. They also offer vitamin drips and other services that I haven’t tried... YET. Easy street parking in front at meters.

I was recently visiting the LA area and was looking for a place to do an infrared sauna. I was asked if I also wanted to do a floating session and didn't hesitate. Being my first time I didn't really know what to expect but the staff made it such a positive experience. 3 days of floating with sauna's and a cold plunge was amazing. I have never felt so relaxed in my life. Pause studio is a little gem with a relaxing spa feel. My hope is that they will look at opening a studio in Boulder, CO so me, my family and friends could all enjoy what they have to offer. Until then I will just have to make a point of visiting Southern Cali more often. Thank you for a great experience. Till next time.

Ok, Ive gone to float a hand full of times at Pause (although the front desk girl didn't know this for some reason). Usually an amazing experience but this time it left much to be desired. Im a streamer on Twitch and wanted to stream my experience. First when I walked in to use the restroom it smelled awful in the hallway. Like moldy mildew sulfur and brimstone bacteria infection. It was nauseating. But it wasn't in my room so I didn't mention it. Float fine, great, cool, ok. But then. I always look forward to the zen room afterward which usually has turmeric ginger tea candles and meditation music, warm and inviting. Id bragged to my community about this amazing zen room. Hit the corner and nope foiled again. It was cold dark, the battery operated candles were turned off and no tea to speak of. But I could hear the front desk girl flirting with some guy at the front desk. I walked past a used tea set (which should have been collected by her) to the front desk where they both had their mask pulled down under their chins having a merry ol time. Im standing there hair wet cold like a beggar; waiting for this unprofessional heffa to acknowledge my presence. She looks over at me as if I was interrupting and I said "there's no tea in the zen room". her response "Tea? I can get tea, I guess"like She was doing me a favor. The guy said "Ill let you go and she told him it was ok and waved me off like I was trespassing on her property. By this time it was almost time to close, she brought my tea (begrudgingly) which was so hot I burned my hand then because it was almost closing I burned my mouth. Said forget it went to the front, no one. I waited, 5-mins then10 so I walked toward the door. Of course she pops up, and asked if I want to purchase more sessions. I just rolled my eyes and pushed the door open with my burned hand. It seems from most other post that the service is usually good but I am ethnic so there’s that 🤔.

Fwiw, I've floated for 7 years now, started at Nova Ctr here in Woodland Hills, Just Float in Pasadena, and then Annica Float Club and Float 60 back in Chicago. I have been to this new float place twice now. First time several months ago was perfect! Exactly as I expect a float to be. This 2nd time left me a bit suspicious because the actual float room tank had a sweat sock smell. First time I've ever smelled that in the float tank! Now, I'm not a professional maintenance person, but I did contact my previous float studio owners and was told basically it should not have this smell. Nor have I ever experienced this smell previously at any float. Now, nothing bad can happen to you bec of concentration of salt in the water, but I think that some work needs to be done in their float tank room filtration system. They do have 3 pods as well, but I have not used theirs. Overall, a relaxing space, easy parking, great location, welcoming employees. Just need to address and correct that smell in float room tank bec it's not the norm. I def will go back after some time before i decide to float elsewhere bec I recognize maintaining these tanks isn't that easy and hopefully this gets addressed. ☆This review is for my visit 6 months ago but i see some other recent reviews have experienced gross floating conditions, so I will be waiting longer before I go back.

Tried the contrast therapy, which involves cycling through a hot sauna and ice cold bath. Hesitant at first but ultimately VERY reinvigorating! Service staff and owner Jeff were super attentive and professional. A very friendly and inviting ambience. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis.
