I have been getting hair extensions in the Portland (Pdx) area for a while now, but I have never been as satisfied as I have been with the service I received here! The atmosphere exudes a Portland princess vibe; it's a spacious setting with ample privacy and private parking. The entire process was seamless. First, there is no waiting for hair to be ordered as you pay in advance. The range of hair textures and colors at Kim's is impressive, offering a luxurious selection of various shades and lengths. During my appointment, I enjoyed a cup of tea and watched a movie while my hair was being styled. I believe every salon should strive to provide this level of service. Thank you, and I look forward to returning soon.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at this hair salon! As someone who has struggled with damaged hair due to bleach and various extensions, I was skeptical about finding a solution. However, this salon has completely blown me away! Their expertise in hair extensions is unmatched - I'm still in disbelief at how incredibly natural and seamless they look and feel. Hmmm… hopefully I am reviewing the correct salon. There was literally a person POSING as PDX Hair extensions online who DE-STROYED my hair. (((The REAL Portland Hair Extensions is KIM on Upshir in Portland!!))) KIM not only corrected what the woman posing as her did to my hair, she called to follow up with me after. Kim has a huge selection of hair she will take you back to see for yourself up close. Another stylist at KIM’s salon did my hair and Kim is someone who checks on the work of the people in her salon to make sure it’s 100% perfect. Her salon is laid back and beautiful and she will make sure your extensions look good and are comfortable and was super flexible with scheduling considering I was coming from out of the area to see her. Penelope is NOT THE REAL PDX HAIR EXTENSIONS AND SHE WILL DESTROY YOU HAIR!! Make sure you are seeing Kim!

I have naturally curly hair and had a horrible experience with a previous install, which was my 1st ever. Kym was fabulous, she made me feel extremely comfortable and explained everything she was doing. The time flew by and the finished product was way beyond what I hoped for. Post and Pre.... Little delayed in posting photos, but wanted to show off the work. (Photos have a face filter, I don't look like a silly doll😉)

Kim did a phenomenal job on my extensions! I am very picky, and she worked with me until they were perfect for my style. She is super friendly, down to earth, and her salon is adorable. She has so many different hair types and pieces as well as really cute dreadlocks and clip ins to choose from. Very happy with my service.

Kim was so awesome she explained everything and very honest about what would fit better for my hair. My friend had an appointment to have a consult for a mesh integration because she has alopecia which is something she has struggled with and is very personal. The person scheduling her reached out but then completely blew her off twice This was completely unprofessional and not a safe space. I would not recommend this place for anyone who is in a vulnerable place.

Seriously Avoid this hair salon. I should’ve listened to the red flags the first time I got their services. Texting whoever handled the appointments was chaotic at best. I decided to brush it aside as the woman working their being a bit quirky and I didn’t really care if they were a bit dysfunctional as long as they did hair well. Big mistake. second time I book an appointment with them I show up and the woman is confused as to why i’m there and who I am. After explaining I find out she isn’t prepared and the appointment turns into a consult instead of me getting my hair done and now she wants me to come back the next day. Unprofessional in my opinion and weird, but fine, I have a flexible schedule and will roll with it. I show up, hair looks great on the way home. The next day after washing my extensions I realize the curly hair extensions I paid for are no longer curly-they’re straight. It’s obvious the perm they did didn’t hold. When I contact them letting them know they give me the run around and try to blame how i’m styling it. That’s not how hair works. Styling it can change how nice the curls are but not whether it’s curly or straight…. but okay I try “styling” it the way they recommend, with their special recommended product I paid for, but it’s still straight. Instead of offering to correct this and re perm the hair they admit that their curly hair extensions don’t work as other clients have a hard time keeping them curly and offer to charge me 600$ to fix THEIR mistake after I already almost spent 2k at this salon. Insanity. Their logic was that i never paid for the perm in the first place… what? they told me it was a flat 1400 for hair and install and that’s all. And now I magically never paid for the perm? If that’s even true, which I doubt it, the lack of communication is so bad and unprofessional. Also don’t sell/offer a product you’re aware doesn’t really work. Honestly I feel like I got scammed. Also the way their hair holds color I’d be shocked if it’s actually real human hair.

Kim and the girls were absolutely amazing! Had a complete blast with them! And Kim did above and beyond, I haven't felt this happy and confident in myself in a long time, highly recommend this place! Kim is awesome Yes, it is a little more expensive but she is totally worth it. She listens and makes certain that your vision and hers are the same. I am 100% satisfied and will return in the future. Highly recommend anyone wanting extensions go here first before trying ever other cheaper option. You won't regret it!

Without a doubt the best experience I have ever had at a hair salon! Such a beautiful atmosphere with the unique way it’s been designed & their exotic animals being the sweetest company. (It’s seriously an experience on its own just to sit in that salon) I felt the most kind, positive & vibrant energy from Kim & the girls & the cherry on top is that my hair has truly never looked this good & my extensions have never EVER been done better. I absolutely love Kim!! She is such an incredibly wonderful person who cares about and supports her clients. I was in a terrible accident where they ended up shaving my entire head and Kim went four hours out of her way to bring me a wig and style it just so I could feel a little bit more like myself. I couldn’t believe how kind she was through the whole ordeal. She’s always done a phenomenal job with my hair I’m never disappointed, you can never even tell I have extensions in when she’s finished with my hair. I can even French braid it!! I would more then recommend Kim her quality and pricing are fantastically amazing!! I will never have anyone else touch my hair again she is truly one of a kind!

I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING Kim is. She genuinely cares and does everything she can for her clients. This is the first time I’ve ever been in to this salon or had my hair bleached/colored.
