Found the great Penelope from another haircutter who left nyc and recommended her. I am so happy! Went to her with my really thick, wide and wavy hair that hadn't been cut for texture and shape in a year or two or maybe more. It was pretty wide! Omg. It is really nice now, has great shape and movement and she did a beautiful job on my bangs! It gets better every day as it grows. She is a great cutter, with the evidence of her range in the beautiful photos on Instagram. And the salon is really nice too! Very pretty. See you soon, Penelope! Thank you loads!

I was referred to Penelope when I moved to NYC going on 5 years ago and have never left! Trust her implicitly with my normal refreshes or to help steer me in the right direction when I need a change. She kills it and I always walk out with a cut that’s manageable and low maintenance (she knows me…) but updated. Constantly getting compliments after a visit to Penelope - and doesn’t hurt she makes a mean espresso martini ;) HIGHLY recommend!

I’ve tried A LOT of stylists and many have been great, but I found my stylist when I found Penelope. She’s a true talent when cutting hair and besides that she is an absolute JOY to be around. I feel like the coolest girl with haircuts from Penelope… so much so that even after I moved to Long Island after the pandemic I still come back into Manhattan just for her haircuts and company. She’s just the best!

Penelope got the brief. I have never had a hairdresser cut so effectively to the texture of my hair. Turns out my hair is wavy and even kind of curly, and she shaped it into an amazing long shag that is already getting better with time. I'm obsessed. (Also as others have commented, she is an awesome person! I can't wait to spend more time in her chair!)

Penelope is an expert hair stylist and I have been a client of hers for 6 years. She is very experienced and is able to achieve anything you are specifically looking for. She can also give you high-level advice in terms of what is most flattering based on your hair texture or face shape as well as understand current trends. I've had to go to other hair stylists (not by choice, but based on my location) and I am always struck by the difference in quality. Penelope is the best!

Penelope is so welcoming and sweet. She tooks the time to listen to me about my concerns about the cut, and gave me lots of suggestions and had a genuine conversation about what I wanted to do. Penelope is the absolute best! I've been seeing her for close to a decade and she has taken me from shaggy cuts with bangs to short cuts (the shortest EVER for me) with no bangs. She GETS me! And *I* get tons of compliments on my hair! Including several "you're making me want short hair" comments :) In addition to her warm and welcoming environment, Penelope listens, collaborates, and provides her professional opinion and expertise. Quite simply, Penelope is the best. Over the years she has helped me nurse my overly highlighted and damaged hair back to life and always seems to give me exactly what I want and need. I told Penelope I wish my hair would grow faster because I want to come back every month for a cut! I was greeted with a dirty vodka martini and PB stuffed pretzels - do I even need to continue? Oh right…the salon and the cut…Cutest space ever - loft with great light and even better company (not to mention a convenient location). The cut was fabulous as always. I’m dealing with some postpartum hair loss and Penelope knew exactly how to cut it to give me the confidence I needed, without pressuring me into anything I wasn’t comfortable with. I’m not great with styling my own hair and she’s always able to provide simple advice on how to accomplish the look I want on my own. Thank you Penelope!

I would follow this lady to the ends of the earth for her amazing haircutting skills! I'd never previously stayed with any one stylist for more than a few cuts but Penelope has been my hair stylist for more than a decade. She's exceptionally skilled and is very intuitive in her craft, each haircut is an even better version of what I ask for or expect! Most often, I just give her a rough idea or length and let her do her thing. Penelope is a magician! I have been seeing her for over a year now and I have to say, I am blown away by the results. From my very first appointment, I was greeted by this warm, hysterical angel that I felt like I knew my whole Life. Once I saw the amazing cut and style she gave me, it was game over. Penelope's skill and creativity is evident in every snip and stroke, and the end result for me every time is nothing short of stunning. Penelope is an extremely talented stylist and truly a gem of a person. I was introduced to her during a very hard time in my life: right before I was to start chemo for breast cancer treatment at just 33. I wanted to cut my long hair into a short style to start acclimating to what was to come. Penelope gave me an amazing hair cut that brought me joy and a hopeful feeling like I was at a new beginning, even though it was for scary reasons. 7 years later and she is my one and only hair stylist for now and forever! She's welcoming, warm, kind - a thesaurus of words for the feeling that you belong and she's happy you're there. She's damn talented with vision for you, personally. Penelope made me feel like ME again after becoming a mom and not taking any time to pamper myself for over 2 years. My hair was down to my butt with absolutely no form. I had thought I needed a cut and highlights to feel pretty again, but after the incredible cut she gave me, it brought back out the natural highlights and I realized I loved the color of my hair as it was. I feel young and beautiful again. I will definitely stick with Penelope for as long as she lets me. She’s absolutely AMAZING.
