Highly unskilled barber. Has non clue how to do texture or add layers. Sufficient for a blunt horrible looking cut. Not sufficient if you want to be seen on the streets. AVOID.

I'm going to give any decent/solid haircut in LA for $30, five stars. Hell, it looks good, but even if I want to go back and have him change it a bit, 2 haircuts are still less than the salon down the street, and he would probably fix it for cheap or free. Nice guy. Willing to start long and let you give feedback a few times. Only 2 minor complaints. 1) I showed him the pic I have of much, much shorter hair that I wanted, and gave him the general goal, but when I tried to clarify what I wanted to actually be able to do with my hair (give it a little gel and brush it up for texture, since I am hopeless with hair) he kind of interrupted and was like "we'll figure it out". Which wasn't so bad, because he was willing to start approaching the desired haircut, with feedback, but I feel like we could have zeroed on it a little quicker if I could clarify. Still didn't take that long. Second, I don't really know enough about haircuts to know if this is valid, but my old barber, and other barbers I've had, would give some scissors-downward snips to supposedly add some texture. He didn't do this. While it's short enough that I can just mess it up to make some texture, I'm worried it could be too neat? On the other hand, it doesn't look too neat on the initial look, so who knows? But basically, if I had mentioned that, he would have done it. I just hate asking for things. So he'll take care of you. He's very patient. Did I mention it's $30? That's like Alabama prices.

He's a nice guy, but gives terrible haircuts, including what might be the worst I've ever gotten. Lacks skill and any eye for what looks good. You'd be much better off doing it on your own.

One of the worst haircuts I've gotten. Blunt, no shape, no layers, or texture. Basically a lampshade on my head. Didn't even follow the one clarifying question he had (about keeping the same lines). Had to spend an hour touching it up myself and then another hour for my friend to fix it. Absolutely not worth the money.

I get my hair cut bu Peter, he does the best job and for the best price I’ve gotten so far in LA. And he’s a sweetheart, all the staff are really nice. Highly recommend, support this local business!

Peter's Salon is a neighborhood and West LA gem. The owner, otherwise known as "Peter" has been around for years and has many regulars. He is kind and goodhearted and is always looking out for his fellow person. He follows your directions on what kind of style you want. His salon is not fancy, but it is friendly and affordable. I have been going to him for years. He keeps it simple and is 9/10 times available at a moment's notice. In this economy? If you need a simple straightforward trim, color, wash, and blow dry? Peter's salon is the place to go.

I have been having my hair done at Peter's for over 35 years. Even though I have moved an hour or so from his location I still prefer going to Peter's . He decorates his shop beautifully for all of the major holidays . I feel as though I am "family" at Peter's

My son had very long hair! I shopped around the neighborhood and I decided to give Pete’s place a shot!! I couldn’t be happier with how Pilar and Pete treated us! Besides the great and warm attitude my son got the style he wanted and was very pleased with the results!!! I highly recomend this place! They’re pretty reasonable too!!!

UNPROFESSIONAL SALON!! What a waste!! I took appointment for my haircut here and that lady didn't even show up. They gave me 10am appointment and said hairdresser will be there (as it's not usual time to open salon). When I reached there at 10, salon was still closed. Someone came at 10.30 am, I spoke to her and she didn't have any idea about the appointment. She called the owner and the lady who was supposed to be there for my haircut and let me know that she will be on her way. I waited until 11.15 and no one showed up and then I left I waited for 1 and half hour for no reason. So unprofessional. I don't know if they know the meaning of appointment. They shouldn't give appointments if they can't fulfill it. Wasted my time.

I am a woman and personally if you are going for a good look go with Amrat. Definently going back there. 10/10. She is really good at women cuts
