I recently visited the Phenix Salon Suites at 2228 N. Flamingo Road, Pembroke Pines, Florida, and was incredibly disappointed by the lack of basic accommodations for parents. Neither the men’s nor women’s restrooms had a baby-changing table, leaving me no choice but to change my baby on the bathroom floor. This was not only unsanitary but also unsafe for my child. The only other option was a bench in the hallway, which offers no privacy for parents or children. For a business that hosts a variety of professionals and caters to a wide clientele, the absence of such a simple amenity feels like a significant oversight. Adding changing tables to the restrooms would show consideration for families and improve the experience for many customers. Until this issue is addressed, I’ll think twice about returning or recommending this location to other parents. Businesses should prioritize inclusivity and ensure all clients feel accommodated.
