We came for our sons “1st Haircut Package” so we were expecting to be seen on time, have the stylist tell us what to expect, provide the lock of hair, certificate, etc. They were very late due to being understaffed, none of the first cut package was honored, and I would not recommend to a parent who is nervous about their child’s first cut. The police car was cute though and it was not the stylists fault. Definitely not worth paying extra for the “experience” as it was a 5 min cut with none of the expected frills.

So glad we came here for my little guy’s first haircut. Elva did a great job, she was quick and expertly handled the twists and turns of a 2 year old. He has curly hair and she brought it to life! Highly recommend!

We have been happy with haircuts here for a while but I want to specifically give a shoutout to Ms. Stephanie today! We have a little guy with some sensory issues and have trouble keeping him still, especially around his neck and ears. I don’t think he’s ever had a haircut that wasn’t crooked and that’s been fine but Stephanie took extra time today to make sure he was comfortable, she went slow, used some different tricks and it was the easiest haircut we’ve ever had and turned out even and straight! She also did a great cut for my daughter, exactly how she likes it with beautiful fairy hair! And had some recommendations and products for over-chlorinated summer hair. Not bad for $20-25 a cut, supporting a smaller business. Great kid-friendly interior as you’d expect with a lot things to keep them distracted during a haircut (including getting haircuts in cars). Friendly staff and they’ll re-do any haircuts if you’re not satisfied within a few days. Will go back!

We were running late and they were still able to work us in and even took a little extra time to put my daughter's hair in French braids. The ladies here are always very nice, fast and they do good work.

Elva cuts my son and daughter’s hair and she does an amazing job on both. My daughter has curly hair which can sometimes be hard to cut but it always looks great! My son is scared of sitting up high in a chair right now he’s 3 and worked with us to make him more comfortable during his appointment.

My girl was so scared of hair cut but Ms Elva made her comfortable and was very quick in giving her the best haircut, the car shaped seats and TV helped in haircut as well.My girl looked perfect in her haircut and she had matching clips in her hair too

**UPDATE** Elva had reached out to me regarding my son’s hair experience from the day before and she had us come in and had fixed my son’s hair cut which looks amazing now. Thank you Elva for being so patient, kind and understanding towards my son. We appreciate your dedication in keeping your clients. We will definitely come back again. *Original post* My son has never had a problem here until today with Daniela. She was impatient with my son who happens to be special needs. I guess I should of been more clear about that, but she was impatient and rude when talking to him through the whole haircut that I don't think I would want someone like that talking to a child that wasn't special needs. Elva has always done an amazing job on my son and so patient that I have never had to tell her about his condition. My son has never been upset with anyone at this location but this was a first. I still tipped but honestly, I shouldn't have. I was polite through the whole thing and trying to help my son listen even though I was getting upset about her comments. From the beginning I wanted his hair cut a lot shorter than he has now but I just wanted us to get out of there. After all that, we left with a horrible haircut and in a bad mood.

Elva does a great job on our very squirmy toddler! We’ve been 3 or 4 times now and each time they are friendly, fast, and do a good job. Once he was too squirmy to finish so we came back and she took care of the rest of his cut. The fire truck seat is our son’s favorite. And the lollipop at the end. The online appointment is easy to make.

I have retyped this ten times because I can’t explain enough how amazing our experience was. The way our stylist made the whole process fun and not scary for our toddlers 2nd cut ever when she was nervous and then to step by step explain to our special needs kiddo what was happening and helped him get through each step, due to his extreme sensory issues, was incredible. I’ve never found a place quite this special and I’m so glad that we did!

I loved this place I had been here once already and had a great experience and this time was not any different I finally found someone who could cut my son's hair the way we had requested at Cookie Cutters put the hairstylist refused to even attempt the haircut. Our hairstylist was very patient with my son and had an amazing attitude I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Janelle and her helper were so much fun and did a great job at making my toddler’s first haircut a nice experience! I was a little worried that my daughter would be scared, but they let her pick out her own chair and cape, blew some bubbles, and put on her favorite movie so that it was a fun time for her! I was honestly expecting that they were only going to do a very simple trim, but Janelle suggested and ended up doing an adorable layered haircut on my daughter that took no time at all. Even before the haircut, my kids got to play in a cute playroom full of toys and a TV which kept them from getting too restless. Also, their service for kids’ first haircuts come with a picture and some locks of hair as a keepsake! Overall, AWESOME place and absolutely recommend!

The haircut was good but $24.95 for a 10 minute cut is pretty expensive. May need to start doing a kids cut at home. There was only 1 stylist to cut hair so I had a little bit of a wait too

This was our first time here, upon the recommendation of some of our preschool friends. We usually go to a children’s hair salon that’s much closer, but wanted to try something new. When we arrived, the stylist didn’t introduce herself and used an impatient tone with my child throughout the haircut. In the end of this very quick cut, my child’s bangs were not even, and I’ll have to correct this tonight. The children’s salon we typically visit uses a nice conditioning product when combing out the hair for the same price— nothing like that here, just a snippy warning that the salon will charge more to comb out the hair if it takes more than 5 minutes. Not a great experience, all in all. Won’t be going back.

Today was the second time Elva cut my 5yo and 3yo boy’s hair. The first was their first haircuts and they were afraid and ended up crying in my lap for the entire haircuts. After she finished they both said it wasn’t so bad. Elva was so patient, calm, and kind through the somewhat traumatic cuts. We went back today and my 5yo sat in the fire truck and she gave him a great haircut and made him feel safe with the scissors and trimmers. My 3yo sat in my lap again, but he was very calm. Again Elva was incredibly patient and kind. Thank you!!

We absolutely love, Elva and her adorable salon. Our son has lots of thick hair and she cuts it better than anyone ever has. She is so sweet and talented. We couldn’t recommend Pigtails and Crewcuts a Belterra more highly and will continue to be loyal customers!

They gave both my son and daughter precious haircuts in under 30 minutes and they are so great with children! The prices are also very reasonable. This was our second time in and we were happy both times. Thank you!
