The staff was not friendly—no greetings, no 'good afternoon,' nothing. We were not treated the same as others in the place. DEFINITELY WILL NOT RETURN, my money is just as valuable as everyone else's. I didn’t make an appointment (they also say they accept walk-ins), and this was my first visit to this place since we just moved. The way they explained that it was by appointment only, the lack of courtesy, and the wait were unpleasant and uncomfortable. The person who cut my son’s hair did a good job.

Giving three stars cause the first experience here was awful. The receptionist was so very rude. This time was much better. But we had little interaction with the folks at the front and left with a good haircut. All I can say is businesses really need to train their front desk staff to be KIND. Especially at a place that deals with children.

Haydé is an amazing professional. Very kind and patience with the little ones. She has been cutting my little boy’s hair since he was a baby and we are super pleased with her. Highly recommend her and the place in general.

I love Alba! If you make an appointment try her. She is awesome!. She has been my kid’s hairstylist since they started going there. She is really patient and great with kids.

I love that we have a salon dedicated to children. Getting a kid’s haircut can be a frightening and stressful experience, but Pigtails & Crewcuts - Lake Nona does an awesome job making it a better experience for both the parent and child. They have toys in both the waiting room and in the salon chairs to preoccupy the kids. Melinda did an amazing job with my 16-month old! She was patient and friendly. My son didn’t whine or shed a single tear. We will always come back to this salon for his haircuts.

I will never have enough words to thank Marta for her patience and love for Thiago. She was always amazing with him, even on the days when he didn’t cooperate, but she always had a smile and gave her best. Five stars aren’t enough—she deserves five diamonds! 🫶🫶🫶

I understand having a late policy, however, when you're dealing with 2 year olds and heavy traffic on Narcoossee, I would expect more grace than 5 min. When we showed up 8 minutes late, I was told to wait in the waiting room (with a 2 year old) for an undetermined amount of time in hopes someone else shows up. No apology, just wait and see. This is an awful policy for a place made specifically to tend to small children.

We happily make the hour long drive to get haircuts here because we know that the playful environment and kind staff will ease my children’s sense of anxiety around new people. The staff understand that kids are wiggly with short attention spans. I appreciate the patience and flexibility of these hairstylists.

It was super easy to book an appointment online. This was our first time and definitely won't be our last. My 19 month old came back looking so cute. He was a little nervous but the staff know what they are doing and have plenty there to help keep a toddler distracted enough to get the cut done. Thank you for the patience and for doing a great job on my little guy. We'll definitely be back again!
