UNPROFESSIONAL, AVOID. the girls here do not know what they’re doing… one was asking the other every step of the way what the process was in another language, which did not make me feel confident they knew what they were doing… I left with irritated eyes and clumps of glue stuck in my lashes right before my birthday dinner. They had the audacity to ask for a photo and didn’t offer me any discounted price for the distress and poor experience.

$37 for eyebrow threading is robbery, especially when there isn’t attention or care given to the clients wants. With my eyebrows, I do chin waxing and sometimes they need to thread the ingrown hairs after if the wax didn’t pick them up. My chin was burning and bleeding for 2 days after due to the lack of care during the process, and they didn’t even get all the hairs out despite that. Horrible services for 3x the price any other salon charges. They are also pushy during the services which is my least favorite thing. My eyebrows were shaped wrong too, and they never even asked what I wanted or if I liked them after.

I have been a client of pinkys for a few years now and where i wanted to keep her my little secret shes so amazing that i want everyone to know about this place and her amazing work! Pinky takes her time to fully address any concerns for brows isnt pushy and makes you feel so beautiful and cared for. She knows what brow shape and tint is best suited for your face and makes sure she also teaches all of her other employees the same attentiveness and techniques so no matter who does your brows youll be SOO happy. I can always be sure of consistent amazing work. I would go out of my way to travel all the way here and never let any other place touch my brows :). Pinkys village spa is the best!

I came in for an eyebrow shaping and was talked into doing a tint which I mentioned I didn’t want to do and left with purple eyebrows. I then had to spend the next week trying to fix it which I’m still doing and was still charged for this service that I did not want.

I’ve never had such an unsatisfactory experience than the one I had at Pinky’s Salon. I happened to be in the neighborhood and needed to get my eyebrows done so I wandered in. Please note that there were no signs on the walls about services and prices, but I did not think twice as I have been getting my eyebrows threaded in NYC for 14 years and pretty much understand the price range of the service. I sat down in the chair and they started working on my brows. While working, she asked me three times if I wanted to get an eyebrow tint, which I refused each time, as I have thick and dark brows naturally and so I have no interest. When my threader finished my right eyebrow, she asked me if I liked the shape and I said yes. She then proceeded to do the left brow which took quite a bit longer. When she finished and I asked for the mirror, I noticed that not only was my left brow thinner than my right, but also that she cut me with the thread in several places. My threader offered to fix the thinner brow by thinning out the other one, but I said absolutely not. Both the shape difference and the cuts were annoying to me, but I just thought I would get out of there and never go back. When it was time to pay, I ask the price and to my absolute shock she told me $37. I have NEVER in my years of getting my eyebrows done in NYC paid more than even $20 in Manhattan or otherwise. $20 is honestly a huge stretch as the place I typically go to is $8. Upon my anger and shock about this price, the ladies working offered to get their manager who was downstairs. Her response to the situation angered me so much that I was brought to tears. I told her about the service not being up to par and also about the fact that the prices were not even displayed in the establishment. She said yes they are, and pointed to the computer screen which had a Gmail mailbox pulled up. She said I need to use this as a lesson to ask for a price before getting a service done and that I “already came in here having a bad day” after I disclosed that it was a difficult day for me before this experience. After much back and forth she basically said she wouldn’t be able to give any sort of refund, and that she’s not the manager, but just the “manager of the services” and that if I wanted any kind of refund I would need to talk to the real manager of the establishment by leaving my phone number. Eventually because my threader felt bad she offered to give me a half refund out of her pocket, which I found to be kind, but unacceptable as no where should be charging such an exorbitant amount for such a simple service that you can get for significantly cheaper in the city. This experience really frustrated me and is just a warning to anyone who is considering getting their brows done here - do not.

Pinky's the best - My initial appointment, I was so nervous letting someone touch my eyebrows, but I've been back several times since the first and I would trust her with my life! She is also so accommodating with scheduling and always gives her honest opinion.

Be warned! They are seriously scamming people. I was charged $55 for eyebrows because of a “new customer” fee. Absolutely ridiculous. I have never gone anywhere where eyebrow threading is more than $30 and that’s still on the expensive side! When I get my eyebrows done they’re usually $10-15! I would never go to this money mongering place again.

Ive been waxing for years, and that was one of the worst experiences I've had. I may as well have shaved with how prickly my legs feel. They also did not listen to what I wanted at the beginning of the session.

Pinky and team are the BEST of the BEST!! The care, attention, and energy she gives every customer is incredible and worth every penny. You simply cannot find other people and places as good as Pinky. After moving to deep Queens and testing out countless other threading places, it became so clear that Pinky was worth the 45 min+ train because she’s that good. Her place is special and so is every woman on her team. They will take excellent care of you. Could not recommend this place more.

Love this place, I go here just for my eyelash lift, I have long natural eyelashes but there always down so I have to use the eyelash lift to keep them up sadly. However, this is the only spot that knows my eyelashes and it last for 2-3 months! Worth it but one thing I can say is there eyebrow threading for 40 is wildin, I would never do that

I've been going to Pinky's for 8 years. Truly my longest standing NY relationship and for a good reason. 10/10 for quality and craft. I'd never dream of letting anyone else touch my brows. 100/10 for service though! Pinky's team is best of the best and all are kind and caring. I moved to BK and trek 40 mins twice a month bc I am loyal and enjoy the experience.

The price was ridiculous. $41 for eyebrow threading??? That is more than double what I pay at any other place in the city. It’s too bad because the staff was very friendly and did a great job but I will never come back here.

The very first time I went here I was trying to explain what I want and she goes “I know how to do it” shutting me up not listening to what I want that should’ve been my first red flag. I tried to like this place and gave her three chances each time she was rude, if I spoke she would shut me or my frnds up even though we’re talking in a normal tone, she’s so aggressive when pulling my head and moving my hand, I tell her I don’t want her rubbing cream on my brows when she’s done because it breaks me out, she goes no you have to and does it any way.for someone charging 40$ you would think she would one be more polite person and two listen to what the customer wants from you instead of just using me like some mannequin. At the end of the day if she did all this and my brows still looked good maybe I wouldn’t be writing this, but she does a horrible job she thins them sooo much when I specifically said I want them as thick as possible. I regret ever coming to this place.

They got to be scamming! Cus $41 for threading eyebrows is so much. they didn’t take less than 10 minutes to do my eyebrows and u expect me to pay $41. She tried to be slick and say my left brow is not the same as my right and how she will fix it and i would love the results .. bruh i def didn’t see a difference after but whatever whatever makes her sleep at night. I told her i was new too so she could have gave me a warning that they charge $41 for just eyebrows. Go somewhere else where they could do a better job with a better price

They were very nice, and I don't want to hurt anyone's business, but ask for pricing before receiving services. I understand rent is high, but charging $41 + tip for an eyebrow threading clean-up was really shocking and unexpected to me. The most I have ever seen for eyebrow threading is $20. I've received better results for a fraction of the price; I will not be going back.

I have been a loyal customer for the last few years and when I say I'd rather go full unibrow then to trust anyone else with my brows, I'm not lying ! The entire staff is beyond skilled and amazing at what they do. Regardless of what borough I move to, no matter how long of a commute I have, I will always find a way to my apt. The quality of work speaks for itself :) I have truly never walked away disappointed with any service I've gotten and I am sincerely grateful for my experiences. If i could give zero starts i would.. 37 for eyebrows and the first time it’s “only”29.. so disappointed. I definitely did not pay that because i did not have it but ended up paying $15 smh.. Including the fact that the girl who was doing my eyebrows was teaching her other worker how to do eyebrows on me like i’m her mannequin definitely no! left my right brow looking bad. never again.

Pinky is the BEST when it comes to brows, lashes, facials, everything!! I currently live in LA but I was recently traveling to Europe and I made a 24 hour stop in NYC just to get my eyebrows done by Pinky! I will only go to Pinky anytime I get the chance - my eyebrows haven’t looked so good since the last time I was in her salon almost 2 years ago before my move to LA! Not to mention, she is the sweetest and a true friend. I could not recommend her enough!!
