Very easy experience. Got toddler her first haircut. She was pretty calm during the cut, and looks great. We did a very simple straight cut, maybe in the future we will get more done. They also keep a little bit in a baggy as a keepsake in case you wanted to take home. They have a tons of toys with huge markup though so kids want that extra bit before they leave.

Pinky is an amazing stylist. I travel for Jersey because no one else is allowed to cut my son’s hair. She’s professional & patient during difficult moments. I will definitely recommend her.

Pinkyz is great! My daughter (2.5 y/o) just had her second haircut here. Both cuts have looked great, they're quick, and the stylists are very good at calming the kid / dealing with a kid that can't be calmed. My daughter is not exactly chill in the chair, and we've walked away with a a great experience both times. I recommend them highly.

This was our son’s (2 y.o.) 2nd haircut, ever, and first visit to Pinkyz. We had a really good experience, from start to finish. Friendly staff, toys, fun car shaped seats with tablets, competent stylists, and lollipops! We had Latoya and she was friendly, patient, good with communication and fast. My son didn’t whine or cry, at all, and his new cut is so cute. We’ll be back.

We tried Pinkyz today for my son’s haircut and had a fantastic experience. My son’s hair is long and floppy and we love to keep that essence but some hair stylists really can’t resist chopping it too short. Latoya (pretty sure that was her name) was lovely and gave my son a really quality hair cut that didn’t sacrifice his hair’s natural style. I would definitely recommend! Also kids can’t help but love the vibe - little cars to sit in, ipads, toys- natural space for them to relax in.

The price of the haircut was extortionary ($55 for a 2-year-old's trim!?!?), but this is mostly because the owner insisted on charging us for a first-time haircut (even though it was not her first proper haircut - it was just her first 'salon' cut). The cut itself was just fine, but the experience was so negative that we will not be going back. Also note they do nothing to celebrate a 'first time haircut' that they charge a $10 premium for. Ten years ago the previous owners gave us a certificate with a lock of my kids hair, a balloon and a lollipop. Not the case today. Do yourself a favor and omit anything that resembles a 'first time' mention or you will be taken advantage of like I was.

Brought my three year old here for the first time recently and was pleased with the service and cut. Pricing is also competitive with other places that offer kids services. We plan to return.

This is the second time we’ve cut our toddler’s hair here. The first time, the haircut was ok-ish but the hair stylist was pleasant and made an effort to make my son comfortable so we went back… This time, I don’t think our hair stylist could be more miserable. She actively huffed and puffed everytime my son turned - he’s 2, come on. I don’t think she smiled or even remotely tried to be pleasant. This is a hair salon for kids exclusively, and since you’re charging $50 for a mediocre 5 min hair cut, at the very least I should be able to expect the staff to be friendly, pleasant and patient when it comes to the child. Also, the hair cut was the opposite of what I asked for but that could’ve been forgiven if the rest of the experience didn’t feel miserable. Wont be coming back.

Can't say enough about Pinkys Place, they were totally prepared to keep my grandson occupied while getting his first haircut, since I was nervous, being his first time and thought he was going to cause a slight disturbance but, to my surprise Ms Latoya kept him calm and explained to me the best method to cutting his hair for the first time. To my surprise he did very well. Pinkys Place I highly recommend..thank you

We always have an amazing experience at Pinkyz! The staff is friendly, patient, and great with kids. They have a great setup with fun chairs (planes and trucks), toys, and screens for those who need to distract their kids during the haircut. The haircut was exactly what we wanted - and with minimal guidance. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun haircut experience for their children.

So happy with my 14 month old’s first haircut! Despite a busy Saturday morning, Latoya gave me and my son a wonderful experience. He got a cute af cut and Mommy over here felt safe and taken care of (turns out a child’s first haircut brings out all sorts of feelings.) They have a tablet so kiddo can watch Ms Rachel while getting their hair done. Latoya gave him stickers for being so good, the ticket to any kid’s heart. He also loved the rocket ship to play with in the waiting area. 12/10 looking forward to his next time in Latoya’s chair!

I’ve been taking my son here since 2022. I’m so glad I found this place. My son has Austim. It’s been very hard finding anyone who can cut his hair well and understand his sensory difficulties. Ms. Latoya is very nice and welcoming. At first, Kai wasn't comfortable with getting his hair cut. He was extremely antsy and agitated. However, the more we came the more he got used to the process. Eventually, he looked forward to going. Kai is limited in speech but he can now tell me when he wants a haircut. He loves this place and so do I. Ms. Latoya and the Pinkyz Place staff has definitely changed Kai’s haircut experience and I’m so thankful. They’re very professional and work well with children from all backgrounds no matter if they’re specials needs or not.

I can’t recommend Latoya and Pinkyz Place enough! Everyone is so friendly and patient with our little ones, and the environment is so inviting with toys, fish tank, and fun barber chairs to sit in. We had been searching for someone to cut our curly-haired kids and Latoya is truly the best.

Can’t say enough good things about Pinkyz. We have been going to LaToya since my son was a toddler and there is no one else who can give him his fade. We moved out of the neighborhood but drive from Long Island just for her skills. She is fast and always gives a great cut. Also as long time customers we have witnessed the growth of her business and it’s a testament to her hard work and craft.

My daughter turned 3 and it was time to get her first haircut. The salon is very welcoming to young children, from the fun chairs, selection of toys, fish tank, and ipads. LaToya cut my daughter's hair and was so patient with the inevitable tears and anxiety of the new experience. She cheered up with some cartoons and left happy and jumping around the sidewalk. The specific certificate and lock of hair was a very special extra surprise for the parents, I appreciate this token of remembrance! Highly recommend and we will be returning for her next hair cut. (Also of note, they're a great community partner and host events for small local businesses on bad weather days).

PINKYZ IS THE BEST! Both of my children had their first cuts here and we've done a variety of cuts and braids over the years - always exactly what we want! Latoya makes the experience stress-free and the kids get a million compliments after every visit. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

This has been our go-to place for our toddler since he was 1.5. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. There’s also a big toy area to help reluctant kiddos get comfortable before it’s time for a haircut. They also have vehicle-shaped chairs and iPads - both of which helped our kiddo go from anti-haircut tantrum to feeling right at home. Due to construction the entrance has moved - just buzz and they’ll let you in, and the new space still has the play center and a bunch of toys to purchase by the front desk too.

Such a wonderful experience for my tender-headed daughter who got her hair braided for the first time. Shatoya, the stylist, was very patient. My daughter loves her new do and can’t wait to get her hair braided again! Highly recommended!!!

We've taken our 3.5 year old here a few times now and the hairstylists are so good at making her feel comfortable and excited for her haircut. They've gone above and beyond and do a great job cutting her hair.
