Booked a partial foil on a whim with Shayla after reading her great reviews and they aren't lying, she is truly amazing! This was my first time at the salon and I was greeted immediately with options of Tea and wine. Shayla is an absolute gem. She is extremely welcoming, entertaining, and most importantly such a skilled hair stylist. I have naturally dark brown hair and needed my roots retouched and a bit of a re-tone in my blonde. I asked her to match the tone of my hair to the tone of my eyebrows and she DELIVERED. Ive never loved my hair more. So reasonably priced for the level of skill she has!! I go to school out of state, so safe to say I will be flying back just to see Shayla again. Cannot recommend this salon enough, it is super quiet and relaxing inside. I'm always nervous to try new places as a fake blonde, but all my worries were wiped away after I met Shayla!

OMG ... got a blowout here (I saw Shayla) before a trip to the UK. It lasted nearly an entire week before I had to wash/blow dry myself, 10/10!!! Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at pinup. My stylist, Denika, was very friendly and did a fantastic job with a dye, haircut, and blowout. I was relaxed and enjoyed my visit. I would recommend this salon to friends/family and will be back. Thanks!

I had relaxed my hair a couple months ago. My hair was curly in back and straight on sides and top. I had my hair colored red which turned copper and didn't take in many places. I decided to try here after going to another place for years. I had Denika from here work on my hair and she did magic. She cut my hair to bring out my natural curl all over and picked an amazing color for my hair too. I haven’t felt this good about my hair in years!!! Look at my before and after photos!! Bre is this first hairstylist I have been to since I moved to Washington. She is wonderful and made me feel pretty again. All of the stylists here make you feel at ease and are wonderful! I would recommend this salon 10 out of 10!!!

Pinup has always been the most reliable and consistent salon in Seattle for my needs. I'm especially happy with the work I just had done. My stylist was Denika. She's a great addition!

I had an appointment with Bre. She highlighted and cut my hair. I'm very happy with the service. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and the staff is very friendly and professional. It was my first time there and I'm glad I chose Pinup salon. I definitely would recommend them for sure. 😁👍

I made my appointment to go see Suzi and when I checked in, come to find out, she is no longer at the salon. Super bummed! Shayla was the one who greeted me and sweetly said that she was hoping I would let her be my new stylist. I am a go with the flow type and said sure! So glad I did because Shayla knocked my hair out of the park! On top of the amazing partial blonde foil I received, she was just an awesome person to hang out with for a couple hour's...super attentive, honest, knowledgeable and hilarious! I will miss Suzi but so thankful I now have Shayla as my stylist!

I wanted to share my experience with you about Shayla the amazing Makeup artist who glammed me up for a fun couples night-I was hoping for a day of appointment but she was all booked so I got my makeup done Friday night with the intention of sleeping with my makeup on, and asked her tips on makeup just in case I needed to do it myself the next day- Shayla told me to sleep on my back and she applied the makeup perfectly. The photos are from 12am after the party- The makeup held up perfectly. I got compliments all night and loved my look! If you’re looking for a makeup artist Shayla is AMAZING! Can you believe the pictures are after 24 hours of wearing the makeup!!

Unfortunately my last visit to the salon didn't go to well. I asked for a "bronde". My hair was already very brassy after lightening from a few months back and I wanted a change. Wanted to go darker with some lighter highlights. It was December 23rd and I was leaving the country for a couple of months on the 25th of December. I didn't think there could be any problems after going brown from blonde so I went to the salon very confident. The end color was very warm, chestnut like (not my undertones at all) all over and my front was white/grey. But I was assured that it will go a little blonder. When I went home and looked at it in the mirror with good light it looked pretty horrid, I noticed my front was completely burnt off. I was left with white stiff broken off pieces. I had small grey bangs. I went to the salon and addressed my concerns about overbleached hair and bad color job on the 24th and the stylist tried to get rid of most red undertones but couldn't tone down the burnt pieces, these were still white and when I asked about it being burnt off she denied that it was her fault. I didn't have time to have it corrected again I was leaving the country December 25th and went to a good hair salon in Europe right after xmas and was taken care of right away even though they were slammed with work before New Years Eve because they saw the damage that was done and toned it down right away to normal color. It took maybe 30 min. Later I attended restoring treatments to try and help nourish the hair that was melted off in the Pinup Salon. It still looks bad because the hair that was bleached off started splitting and it's very uneven, more hair was breaking apart too. I used to part my hair in the middle but now I have to part it to the side to cover the grey broken of bangs that was created in the Pinup Salon. Now I have to wait till my unwanted bangs grows back for a year or so... Edit: Sorry, but no. It's not new growth, it's breakage from overprocessing the hair. The hair is uneven, dry, wavy and splits at ends. Also I didn't have bangs before I came to your salon. It all appeared after the visit. It's been almost 3 months and my grey bangs didn't warm up to "a blonde" like i was told either. I toned my hair neutral brown twice already and the white comes through very fast and it doesn't feel like warming up... Salon just doesn't know how to or have experience with working on low porosity hair.

I chose Pin Up salon because of the laid back vibe and I was looking for someone who did amazing #vividcolor. I ended up in Suzie's chair, and let me tell you internet strangers, she is utterly amazing, talented and so much fun. It is so hard to find a good stylist, and I found a great one. I had a color request that 3 other stylists turned down, but not Suzie. The color it turns out, had to be custom made, and Suzie is a magical unicorn who literally glanced at my inspiration photo and made the color *exactly* as I requested. It turns out that one of her many amazing talents is color theory, and she is a master. She will underplay her talents, but don't let that fool you, she is one of the most talented stylists I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She has won numerous awards, beaten Master stylists in competitions and her work is just stunning. I thought my old stylist was talented, and she was, but Suzie is in a league of her own. Really unassuming and down to earth, she will blow you away. She said one of her favorite things to do is have a client bring in a reference, like a leaf from a tree or some random color and she will make it happen. Suzie also loves doing #galaxyhair, #unicornhair #blondes #brunettes and anything you can imagine. Please take this as a sign that you need to book her. She is very, very #lgbtqia friendly, anything goes friendly and will entertain you for the hours you are in her chair. Also love that the vibe of the salon is just down to earth. If you are looking for a high end salon with attitude, this will not be your place, but it is obvious the owner is passionate about making the clients feel like they are royalty for a day while being super laid back and comfortable. Please, please, please book Suzie for your next cut and color. Shayla is magical! I had been bleaching my hair myself and my hair was uneven and had bands of mismatched color so I went in for a root touch up and she completely fixed all uneven color and brought me to a beautiful platinum blonde!! It was fun to chat and I felt welcomed. Thanks Shayla!

Shayla is the *best*. totally gets different types of curly/wavy, listens to what you want and has suggestions/ideas of her own to add. Not to mention hilarious. would recommend to anyone with textured hair of any kind. My only hesitation is that she will get too busy! Thanks Shayla!

Beautiful and comfortable salon where you can get shampoo AND straight razor cut. Tess is outstanding, they have beverages including whiskey & wine, and pinup girls covering the walls never hurts(: Highly recommend, will definitely return.

Tess is one-- if not the--most talented stylist in Seattle. Truly. People always ask me where I get my hair done-- this is how wonderful Tess is at what they do! One can trust that they make every vision come to life in ways that exceed expectations. It is always a pleasure to come in for a cut with Tess-- I can not recommend their work enough.
