Don’t sign a contract with them! They will find any way to keep charging you and add on fees even when their front desk staff tells you something else. Don’t do this to yourself! Just give me back my money! I can’t believe you guys are doing this during the COVID 19!

Terrible customer service! I let them know I would be doing a lot of traveling and they said I could freeze my account without an issue. Now they are saying you can only freeze it for 3 months out of the year and charged me $380. I’ve been gone 6 months now and don’t know when I’ll be returning due to the covid 19 and they are not any help with trying to resolve this or cancel. Not to mention their facilities are very low quality and bad lighting, i hurt my foot one day when trying to get into one of the machines, informed the front desk and they did nothing. Ridiculous!

I saw on Facebook a deal to try out 3 services and decided to book a mini spa day here. The employees were very friendly and showed me around. I loved the automated massage especially during covid since you don't have someone super close to you. The hydration machine was also very nice and my skin is so soft now. Looking forward to returning.

I beg of you, do not go to this spa. Save yourself the heartache and headache. The regular staff is friendly enough, but management is terrible. I purchased a bundle of services that they would not honor to completion. I asked to speak with management multiple times, was promised I would get a call back and/or email, but never heard back from her, once. Huge waste of money. Not to mention they force you to use their towels and mats for the saunas... which you have to pay extra for, because "regular towels will break down in the infrared." I feel sorry for this company - it has such great potential, but this location is in the hands of poor leadership, and is clearly now going the nickel-and-dime-you route. So sad. Oh and they always forgot to have the sauna on when I went! One time I got a call AS I WAS DRIVING UP, letting me know the sauna wasn't working. Seriously?

I used to go here for year sand had a regular plan and paid the cartridge price for airbrush. After the remodel the sales lady (same one that is ALWAYS there) said I had to buy a new plan and tried to force me into all kinds of stuff I didn’t know / want. She is like that every single time. She’s always busy unpacking stuff or not paying attention and you have to wait 1/2 an hour just for her to harass you like a used car salesman. I do love the hotbox. The vibe and the service aren’t worth the misery.

I went in over summer to make a single teeth whitening appointment and some how got roped into signing up for a monthly membership. I have never once used their services because they never have appointments after 8pm and I get off work late. I have called numerous times to cancel and nobody picks up the phone or returns my calls and they are continuing to charge my account.

These people really need to get their stuff together. I booked an appointment with them, scheduled it for 12:15. They called me 2 days before and the day before to make sure I was all set. Then they call me AN HOUR BEFORE to try to reschedule for NEXT WEEK. Seriously? I should have followed my gut after I read the reviews and just cancelled. My friend and I literally dropped everything and planned our day around this appointment. It sucks. Don’t waste your time here.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GREEDY BUSINESS. My friend & I bought a valid Groupon for spray tans & when we went in the Employee demanded that we refund our purchase from Groupon & pay her in store. When we opened the app, we realized it had expired past the 3 day refund limit. She refused to give us our service & wouldn’t allow us to speak with the manager or owner. So the money was spent & the services weren’t honored. Many businesses do this to jump the commission that Groupon takes but to steal from a customer when they know my money went down the drain is unacceptable. This is not a place you want to go.

Had a certificate for 3 services. I only had one service done. Awful staff and the slim - capsule makes you feel like it’s going to short circuit and catch on fire at any moment. They stick you in dark rooms with no music except for the hum of the outdated machines that are probably about to explode.

I had a groupon for 3 spray tans. I went in and the lady told me the groupon is not offered at this location 😂 but clearly on the groupon offer it says valid at locations shown. The lady asked me to refund the groupon and she would honor the price. I bought the groupon for three and the total was somewhere near 36 dollars. And she offered me one spray tan for 25! Not sure how that correlates to honoring the price. And not to mention I wasn’t offered any options as far as scent or an additions to my spray tan like the boosters. I guess it works out because I wouldn’t have wanted the other two sprays from here anyway.

Ok so let me start by saying this place is highway robbery. They want a 99.00 cancellation fee. What is that? Be sure and read the fine print people. For me and my fiancé I have to spend 200 just to stop. Now let me say why I stopped. I wanted to use it for the sauna since it seemed clean and close to my house. After not 1 not 2 but 3 occasions of it not being turned on because even after calling ahead of time someone forgot to turn it on. I guess I would have let that’s slide but then after numerous occasions of not being open due to the manager not being there on time I found a note on the front door that they were closed due to a sewage.... that’s right sewage issue. So at that juncture I asked to cancel and was told to pony up 200 bucks. If you are even considering using this place I hope you read the fine print.

My friend has been going to Planet Beach Contempo Spa for several months now and has been trying to convince me to cancel my tanning membership and go to Contempo Spa. I am a very skeptical person by nature, and don't typically buy in to hype when it comes to services with lofty claims... or any claims, for that matter. I have to see and experience results true results, and only ever write about something when I feel it needs to be reviewed. With that being said, I walked into the salon and was immediately at ease. The girls at the front gave me a tour of the place and explained every spa experience service that they offer and the benefits of each spa treatment or service. They continued to show me the products they carry and even gave me their own tips on best skincare and healthcare. I originally thought I was going to to tanning salon and left feeling like I was at a spa. Great experience all around! Will definitely be going back and purchasing the monthly membership.

Had an extremely pleasant experience at this location. Hilary was such a joy to work with, beginning to end. I came into town for a girls weekend and she made us feel like we were regular members. The groupon made it affordable for all of us to enjoy the services.

It was the worst experience we ended up walking out they were supposed to have a private party for a bachorette party for 7 girls for facials massages mystic tan etc a total of 6 services for $480. They were suppose to proved mimosas and snacks they had a cheese ball with 10 cracks and cheap wine with plastic cups. We were out of town kerri the manager and I had been speaking for 2 weeks and she lied and our charged! Worst experience ever. It's mean and dirty in there as well.

I agree VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! DON'T SIGN UP FOR MEMBERSHIP, YOU'LL GO THRU HELL CANCELLING. took me a year to finally cancel membership and paid over $1,800 and I finally just gave up on trying to recover any back. the cream gave me an allergic reaction and my skin was red for 3 days. there was no relaxation for me as their beds smell bad and was actually hurting my back. I though this was a real spa but its not even close to what I expected.

I ended my membership roughly 14 months ago, when the spa got new owners. All of a sudden they no longer honored my contract. When I signed up with them I paid about $100 a month for unlimited services, but had to pay extra for their light facial and teeth whitening. Once new ownership took over I began having to pay for each sunless tanning session I got. They also started selling Groupon packages, which limited the appointments open. I was having to book all my appointments a week in advance. Prior to Groupon I could call the day of to find an open spot. The new owners were nice, but did not care about their existing clientele.

Do NOT purchase the Groupon for this. It seems like a fantastic deal, I purchased 9 tanning and spa services for an awesome price, especially since I'm getting married in a few weeks. I was very excited to use these and I planned it out to where I would use 3 services one week, 3 the next, and 3 the week of my wedding. I was also hoping that the spa services would be something to improve my skin since I have issues and then I would have gotten a membership and made it a regular routine. I made my appointment, drove 30 mins to get there, and as I'm checking in they inform me that I have 1 week to redeem ALL NINE services. According to the Groupon, I have until July. But they told me if I purchased a package then I can add them to that and use them whenever. The smallest package they could offer was 10 more services for $100. I was immediately frustrated, feeling pressured into spending $100 leaving me with 19 services and not even knowing if I liked them or if they would work for me. I never even got to use any of my services because my only 2 options were to redeem the Groupon and use a few services and if I didn't like them I would have lost out on the rest of them because I wouldn't have time to use the rest in that week, OR option 2 would be to spend $100 on 10 more services. I called Groupon customer service right then and there and asked if I could be refunded, even they mentioned it didn't sound right that they only gave me a week when it says it didn't expire until July. I then had to drive another 30 minutes back home, what a waste of time. They even mentioned they had new management and great changes were being made, but here they are still getting 1 star reviews. New management should consider not offering deals on Groupon, that would be a good start.

WORST company ever!!! Very poor managed. Always new management, always new charges being added for treatments that should be paid with your monthly membership. ( I paid $99/month) Never felt like I was at a spa where they had me in mind. Jo was the only happy, positive employee there. The current manager, Julie seems very not there and unhappy. I have had many issues with her saying she was going to do something, and it never happening. Such as crediting my account a free month, taking my card off file, putting notes in my account (but other employees said they never saw any notes) Just more of a hassle place, instead of a relaxing atmosphere. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, dont waste your hard earned money to this place!!! Pay a little more (or probably even less) to go to a REAL spa experience!!!!!

I became a member of this spa back in January and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences, I have met all of the consultants and the manager Billy because I go there very often and they are always extremely nice. I am always offered a robe and water and asked if I am enjoying the services and seeing results. Right now I am only using their Weight Loss/Skincare Services but I plan on upgrading soon so I can use their tanning services, I will review those once I have tried them but until then let me tell you about my 2 favorite treatments! ;) These treatments improve the tone and texture of skin, get rid of cellulite, speed up your metabolism, and help increase the number of calories that you burn. They are both capsule machines that you lay in and they both have LED Red Light Therapy options to help firm and tone skin and treat cellulite. First off the people giving this a five star must be the employees because this place is joke. My husband purchased this deal off of Groupon for me as one of my birthday gifts. I went into the spa and sat for a while unitl they were done talking to ne of there customers who was a family member and how their weekend went. The girl that signed me up was very sweet and happy to have me there. Everything went through so calmly the first five minutes. All od a sudden I was signing a contract that cost 140.00 a month and was told the groupon I had was expired so I should just sign up, because I could not come back on the groupon. I asked why she simply said it was expired I reminded her the groupon had two more visits on it but she only said she would look into it. It now has been a week I wanted to cancel after the second day I then was told to come in and pay the $50.00 plus the next months fees in order to cancel???? What I was blown away I looked into the contract and saw the $5 freeze I could take advantage of , they never offered this option to me of courser. I went in on a Thursday of that same week to sign, now its been three months and I am still being charged the full amount have not received any return phone calls from the manager, and guess what? THEY CANT FIND MY FREEZE FOR THAT I FILLED OUT. WHat a coincidence huu. I was told that I would receive a call back from Billy because per (Reece) the manager should have called me back by now.. You think.. I am also reporting this to the BBB because they are crooks and worst of all they are snakes and don't care about you unless you buying $200-$300 dollars on products..
