I recently went in for a spray tan and was disappointed. the booth didn’t work well and it didn’t darken my skin one shade. so i called they said the booth was broken and they’d give me a free one when it was fixed. so i went in again and the same thing happened. the pregnant lady had the worst attitude and didn’t offer any help and was too busy talking about her personal life. then she just kept telling me “well it was working last night.” For a $50 spray tan you’d think they’d make it right somehow. truly one of the worst salons in baton rouge. waste of money and time

THE MANAGER THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS ON ME! I have been in the service industry for 16 years and this is by far the worst experience I've had communicating about an issue with anyone in my life. I have had a membership for the last two months which I've been unable to use because of a log in issue that was never resolved. After calling the first week of my membership for the schedule and availabilities I got tired and decided to wait as the girl I had been speaking with told me the manager would contact me because it was an IT issue. I never heard from them and nearly forgot about it. Yesterday I decided to stop by and cancel the membership, the girl there (not the same girl that was helping me initially) was very sweet and helpful, she cancelled my membership and was empathetic about the problem. I did mention asking for a refund, she said that might not be likely but that the manager should be able to work something out to make up for the time I didn't get to use the service at all. So I was appreciative and left feeling okay about it. She said the manager would get back with me today and she did, she sent a text telling me she fixed the problem (which she didn't) and that they "do not perform refunds". So I decided to stop by again today to speak to her in person (the girl yesterday said she would be there 9-5). This ruined my day! She was completely apathetic to my issue perhaps assuming all I cared about was a refund and wouldn't even hear me out about it STILL NOT WORKING. She was unwilling to resolve anything and would respond to everything I said with an attitude. Then when I mentioned she was being rude she turned it around on me and said "please do not upset me I'm pregnant" I told her now nice her employee was yesterday and that she made me think her manager would be too. She asked me to leave and threatened to call the cops. I don't understand why she felt threatened because I was not cursing or being belligerent. I was just a little upset about her attitude but I was calm. I said I wanted to talk to the owner if that was all she could offer me but she said she couldn't give her contact information and that all she could do was leave a note. I really don't understand how any business can operate like this and do well. I do not recommend using Planet Beach on Corporate Blvd!

Worst service I have ever received - I have been trying to cancel my wife's membership for weeks and they are avoiding my calls. Apparently the manager has to be there to cancel but she never comes in so I have been charged several times after trying to cancel. Biggest waste of money and time. Don't give them your business.

Had a Groupon for 9 services. Scheduled same day appt with Planet Beach on Essen. Arrived and found it was closed. Sign said staff would be back shortly. I waited and no one showed. The Corporate Blvd location is owned by the same owner. I called there to complain, left my name and number for the owner/manager to call me back. Never received a call, wasted my money. Not sure why the person on Essen would let me make a same day appt and no one was there to staff. Awful!

My usual tanning place was closed for some unknown reason last week. Planet Beach was nearest non-spray tan. I was on a time schedule of sorts, and Planet Beach was the nearest place. I didn't have an appt (recommended), but Brittany (awesome) got me in. Strong stand-up bed. SO in love with it! My year-round tanning revolves around 2 tanning places, and now I find Planet Beach: Awesome employees AND service, so I can add a third. Love it!

Just got a membership here and everyone is nice and helpful! Not sure where all of these negative reviews came from but they definitely deserve a 5.0!

I read the reviews here and they're not very good, but I've been going a few weeks now and it's the same girl working during the day. She's super sweet and is always happy to help. She's knowledgeable about products as well. Great experience.

Planet Beach is the worst place to go for any type of service. If you sign up for a membership it is an act of congress just to get them to stop debiting your account every month when you cancel your membership. No lie, I had 2 memberships and it happened twice. You can't even get them to quote you a price over the phone. The beds and other services are really great but don't get lured into a membership or if you do get a membership, pay cash up front because if you pay with a card that card will be debited monthly no matter what, without even asking!!! So the beds are a 5 star, the people working there including the OWNER are absolutely terrible (-5), they can get you a membership but they don't know how to let you out of it.

Especially as a man, going to the spa is not a typical destination. But I felt at ease and comfortable succumbing to Shaye and Britney who did not steer me wrong with a teeth whitening experience. They were both thoughtful, courteous, and intent on making my experience enjoyable. Honestly, I can see how women get pampered and addicted to going to the spa. I highly recommend it for a chance of pace, health and beauty, and most importantly a random gift certificate - fellas never underestimate the power of a day of the spa for your special lady friend.
