Worst planet fitness ever , the people steal other peoples stuff in there all the time and the managers just don’t care or not willing to help you check the cameras or give you a corporate number to help you . Worst management. I lost my phone there and no manager wanted to help me , I had to come up with everything in my head by asking for corporate phone number . The assistant manager he’s the worst .

Love the total bodymachine in the spa area . Helped me drop 22 pounds in two months . It was definitely what I was missing . I usually go to the gym when my back hurts so I can use the massage chairs which are now upgraded . They recently added more machines for the glutes . But the new staff seem somewhat bothered for clients to use the spa area since you have to ask them to turn on the massagers, tanners. And etc ...

Beware Before Joining Planet Fitness I wish I could give this gym a better review, but my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. While some of the staff are nice, the overall customer service and management practices are incredibly disappointing. First, the A/C frequently breaks down, and repairs seem to take forever. This makes working out extremely uncomfortable, especially during hot weather. The real problem, however, is their shady membership cancellation process. Be warned: you cannot cancel your membership through the app or online—you have to go in person. And even then, the manager has to be present. If the manager is unavailable (e.g., at lunch or in a meeting), you’re out of luck and will have to come back. I canceled my membership three days before the next billing cycle, yet I was still charged. Despite going in person and having over seven phone conversations with the manager, Andrew, I never received the promised refund. I was strung along with false assurances of emails and refunds that never materialized. It feels like they hold your bank information hostage. Their cancellation process is unnecessarily difficult and not transparent upfront. In the end, they kept my money and wasted my time. If you value customer service and straightforward policies, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. It’s sad to see such poor practices from a national gym chain.

*******Update******* I’ve been a member since they opened. Over the past few months everything went downhill. 2 amazing employees that used work there are no longer working there anymore. Now that’s the good employees have gone … the A/C is not working and machines are broken without being fixed or replaced for months. PLEASE MAKE ADJUSTMENTS!! Especially in the Miami Heat!

Planet Fitness is a great gym for a good workout. There’s plenty of machines to choose from to do your daily workout routine. There’s a sanitation station everywhere for cleaning of equipments before and after its uses. There’s available massage chairs and hydro massage to soothe your body soreness. There’s locker rooms for both genders. Overall, Planet Fitness is great choice and affordable.

The a/c issue is complete nonsense Insane that a business could run for 6 weeks w no air in the summer. And now, Dec 1 the air downstairs is not working again, for 5 days. I wasn't gonna Post here until I started reading the replies from the management to the people posting here.Are you guys on another planet?Or are you bots in russia? Whoever is responsible for this needs to get this repaired.It's an insult to all of your customers that you think this is okay This is not about the staff at the front desk at all. This is the owners and the building management.

UPDATE: So I left a review 9 months ago regarding this location. I honestly used to love this location but James and Stephanie are no longer working at this location and honestly every time they were there the gym was sparkling and super clean. Now, the restrooms are always nasty and dirty, there’s no soap, it stinks like urine and feces, the staff are lazy. My wife has said the same about the women’s bathroom that after they left the cleanliness has declined dramatically, no toilet paper, it stinks, trash is full, etc. Every time I tell them there is no paper towel or toilet paper they look at me rudely and don’t do anything. Additionally, I have never seen the staff from other Planet Fitness sitting down at the front desk, is this new? I have no problems with them sitting down because honestly I know it is tough to stand up the whole shift, but they are sitting down and using their phones, they don’t even acknowledge people. However, the previous staff (referring specifically to James and Stephanie) were always having a conversation with customers and I think that is key to have a good experience and feel welcomed. Also, I must include Andre that he is also very welcoming and makes conversation with people too. Is sad to see that the only 2 employees that kept the gym super clean and running smoothly are gone. You guys should get them back because they were the ones carrying the whole team and the gym. Now, all you see is that all the machines are always broken, you ask them something and they never know the answer. They always answer “I don’t know when is going to get fixed, you should ask the manager, is the manager’s fault” or “I am not the one that takes care of that, that’s the manager”, so why do they even have shift leaders and assistant managers? If everything has to be resolved by the manager and they can’t do anything? The A/C is broken all the time and it stinks because there are a lot of people sweating. They don’t even have air fresheners and they should at least have some fans around the gym. The heat is unbearable. It seems that they cut the budget so much that they can’t have a proper amount of staff, snacks and drinks in the cooler or even cleaning supplies. Not to mention the machines, water fountain, A/C and the ELEVATOR that has been “broken” for 2 years. So, why am I getting charged an annual fee that is destined for “maintenance” when they are not using it for that? Ps. And no, there’s no point on contacting the manager because apparently there’s nothing they can do. Apparently he has brought it up but nothing has changed so don’t expect anything from the managers. At this point, we have to contact someone higher. ************************************************** I workout here daily and Stephanie’s service is the best I’ve had. She is always cleaning, greeting and is very helpful. I can’t even count the amount of times she helped me with my membership and general questions. So I must say, managers should have more people at the front desk, I only see 2 people, James and her and while James is cleaning she stays at the front and then I see the exchange places but only 2 people is crazy for the amount of people that come in to workout. Literally I saw her on Tuesday trying to help someone out while she was signing up people for memberships and checking in, the extra person she was helping out was upset because she was helping 3 other people with memberships and checking people in. There should be more staff there, the same happens with James, he’s great as well but sometimes I see him doing a lot at the same time. This gym is very short staffed and should have more people helping at the front, considering that many times people are difficult and annoying to work with.

*Update 09/22/24 The AC still doesn't work. I had to retire and couldn't train. 09/15/24 They still haven't fixed the AC. I need a refund of my money. Before the person who manages the Google Maps app tells me to talk to the manager, I've already spoken, and not that it's hot, it's too hot like a sauna. The employees are not to blame. The owners of the gym or the management are to blame. I repeat, how do I get my money back for the month I haven't been able to train because of the heat? It's not safe or healthy to train in these conditions, but this doesn't seem to matter to those in charge.

AC has been broken for weeks in the main floor of the gym. Hot as hell. No action, no communication from management. This gym is run like a slum. When are they fixing the AC? I’m about to cancel my membership. Completely pathetic management. Just close down if you can’t properly do business.

Over the last 2 months AC units on both floors of this facility has been having issues with no clear solutions yet. This is putting the public health in danger versus providing an environment to practice your health.

This gym has declined significantly lately. Its facilities look dirty, the bathrooms look dirty, the soap dispensers usually have no soap, the paper towel dispensers often have no paper towels, and for about the last three months, the air conditioning in the area where all the exercise machines are, which is the largest area, is always broken. That is, they fix it, and it stays in good condition for a maximum of three days, and then it doesn't work for the remaining four days of the week, to the point where the management has been forced to keep the gym doors wide open all day when the air conditioning isn’t working. This serious situation is disrespectful to the gym members because being inside in this situation is like being in a giant sauna. The worst part is that when you ask the manager or the front desk team about this issue, they do nothing about that. It seems they are unaware that we are in the middle of summer, that viruses and bacteria increase by 1000% in this situation, and that the risk of dehydration or heat stroke is even higher. UPDATE: Today, September 16th, the owner responded to me. Honestly I am very disappointed and the only thing I think I should respond to him is the following: You owner, please have some shame and do not tell me to send you an email to take action on the matter, because you do not need the members to send you an email to complain, when through this means you are making yourself aware of the disaster that PF on 125th street has become, and how long will this lack of respect on your part towards us, the members, continue? PF at the very least owes all of us a formal apology, and ultimately, if you are not able to solve the problem, then close the gym until you manage to fix the air conditioning problem. UPDATE: September 22, 2024. The air conditioning continues to be damaged, and they continue doing the same thing as always, that is, they supposedly repair the air conditioning, it works for 2 days and it breaks down again. Honestly, this is too much and is a blatant lack of respect for us members, who are paying to receive quality service, which seems to have been forgotten by the management and the owner of this establishment, since it has been more than three months that the members have been living this situation to which, to date, an adequate solution has not been found.
