I genuinely love not only the atmosphere but all of the amazing employees that I’ve gotten the chance to meet. I have Aaliyah personally as my Hairstylist and it’s an above and beyond service each time! She listens, helps critique if needed, and overall knows how to get you at your final destination with how you’re wanting your hair!

I've never had a bad experience. I have my hair shampooed and styled a couple of times a month and I am not picky about who I get. They always do a great job! However, for my cut and color I'm grateful for Laura Frazier! She is absolutely amazing! There are several other stylist there that I would trust to do my cut and color,( Jacob Moore), but Laura is my go to!

My son is severely autistic and we struggle greatly with haircuts. A friend reccomended Michael S, and we haven’t even made it out of the parking lot and I have to review! He stayed so playful, patient, understanding and reassuring (even to me lol) throughout the haircut and did a wonderful job regardless of my son’s squirms! His hair looks amazing and he warmed right up to Michael! We highly recommend and this will now be our home for haircuts for Mav!

I Love my hairstylist Ashley. She had to try to match my color from a different color manufacturer to what Planet Salon carries and she absolutely got it perfect. She currently cuts my mother and daughter’s hair as well and they really like her cuts and her. I highly recommend her.

I had an appointment for a hair color with Jacob at 6:30 PM today. When I arrived at the salon and checked in, they said he is not here today and my appointment had been given to his coworker without any prior notice. I was never informed about this change, which I found extremely unprofessional and rude. It’s frustrating to be treated this way, especially when you make the effort to keep an appointment. I expected much better communication and customer service from this salon

Jacob Moore is the best! He takes the time to listen to exactly what I want and offers great suggestions to enhance my look. Jacob is not only skilled but also a true professional, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere throughout the appointment. He also gives the best scalp massages! Peyton consistently provides me with great color and cuts. She listens to my wants and uses her expertise to make my hair look great. The new shop has convenient parking and is modern and clean. The front desk staff are always warm and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Jacob at Planet Salon is my favorite in Lexington hands down. I explored a few salons and stylists for a couple of years before I met him and man I’ll never let anyone else do my hair unless I move. He’s the best! My hair has never been healthier or shinier!

So glad I found this amazing head spa!! I love getting pampered and need to relax at least once a month. My job takes a toll on me so someone rubbing my head, brushing/washing my hair and rubbing my shoulders, while using water as well. This experience is absolutely amazing! A great gift for anyone who wants to try something new or is hard to buy for.

2 stars mainly for my experience and how I felt during the appointment; I’m ultimately content with the result, and my stylist was pleasant, but I still most likely won’t be returning to this salon (this was my first visit). My first issue is that when I booked the appointment online, I selected the wash and style option for $53. When I arrived and sat in the chair, I was told that it was going to be an extra $24 for the stylist to curl my hair. I decided to move forward with it since I was already there and wanted my hair curled for pictures this afternoon (I can’t curl my own hair so that wasn’t an option). Then I was informed that appointments were priced based on time, and that the stylist had to get my hair washed, blow dried, and curled in 45 minutes. From the get-go it seemed very rushed and frantic, which isn’t my fault (though I do recognize I have thick and long hair which takes awhile to do, but nowhere online did it say I needed to add extra time). My stylist was completing my hair while another client of her was processing, and I felt like she was racing the clock on me so she could finish her other client. She asked multiple people if they were available to help blow dry and curl, and I heard multiple times how she didn’t know how she was going to get me finished in time. Then, when she did find help, both stylists were on the same outlet with two blow driers and eventually blew the breaker. For the next five minutes, the staff were panicking trying to get the outlet working again and ended up moving me to a different chair to finish (which is fine). But my stylist kept bringing up that she didn’t know what she was going to do because she had clients the next few days and what was going to happen if they couldn’t fix her outlet. The additional stylist ended up rinsing the original client to help, and thankfully I ended up with the result I booked and paid for. But the entire time I felt like an inconvenience and that my stylist just wanted me done so she could move on with her other client and her day. I also paid way more than I planned on (I did leave a tip). I understand I have more hair and it takes awhile to get it done, and I said multiple times that I didn’t mind paying extra if it took longer and that I wasn’t in a rush so I didn’t care if it took longer than planned. If I had known that appointments were strictly time based, I would have added extra time or called ahead. I also understand that the outlet blowing up is out of their control. My issue is solely based on how I felt and the tension I experienced during my appointment. I didn’t need one person to be the only one that did my hair either; I wouldn’t have cared if three separate people washed, blow dried, and curled my hair. This experience was very stressful and not enjoyable in the slightest, which I’m upset about.
