1/22/2025 UPDATE: Tiche and Jason’s latest response is borderline sociopathic. I NEVER received the product, I NEVER received a refund. They know I cannot dispute because it was through PayPal and it was past 6 months which they LIED and dragged me along. ALL my proof is in this review I have the receipts. I wouldn’t even trust if they showed whatever “confirmation of receipt” because Jason probably made it in paint. I don’t give one care you’re being psychotic and using my name as a promo I pity anyone who steps into your salon and deals with you or any of your workers. Keep making fake reviews and slandering me. Love it! Use the code JESSICA I cannot believe I’m famous I love it!!!! 12/31/2024: Owner continues to give me no refund. I do not have a product that I paid $2,000 for. Do not go to this salon. MOST RECENT UPDATE 2/27: Still no refund or contact from PLEIJ. I’ve attached images with my communication and theirs, enjoy the read and the tea and this frauding salon! They are scamming consumers, DO NOT BUY OR GO TO THIS SALON. FULL STORY: This salon is ignoring my emails, and their phone number doesn't even work. I bought an expensive face mask from them that still hasn't arrived, and they won't refund me. Don't buy from this place; they'll take your money, they are scamming people. Jason Opland is the guy in charge. Give me back my money, Jason! And if he's gone, PLEIJ, you're still receiving my payments—do the right thing and cancel my order, regardless the email is the same, not his personal. You're choosing to ignore me. Update: After looking through reviews it seems Tiche Florence is the owner confirmed by her LinkedIn. Not sure why I was receiving emails from a Jason Opland stating he is the owner. The email I was communicating with is still the one listed on your website, so again, you're getting the emails. And looking at other comments, it's very odd I can't call as another person did. Are you blocking customers numbers to scam them? Seems so. Update: My brother called the salon through his phone and it rang, but does not with my phone so they have blocked me to steal my money. My hunch is that Tiche the owner and scammer was sending me emails stating she's Jason, but was really her saying they were going to get my updates but then finally blocking me after PayPal could no longer refund me. Clever Tiche, but I'm ahead of you. Update: after spamming the heck out of their instagram since they’ve blocked my number and are not responding to my emails. someone messaged me with an excuse of they’re waiting on the mask still and that I need to be polite. I don’t want the mask I want a refund. This is the first time since July that they’ve contacted me and it took me trashing their insta to get a response. Still no idea if I’ll be refunded, sounds like they want me to wait for the mask still and I do not want that. Don’t even trust it’s the true mask. Will update this once I get a refund and they’ll never hear from me again. Update 2/22: they laughed at my messages and blocked me and still are not responding to my emails or calls. At this point I do not know if I’ll get a refund. I’m working with my bank and looking at any avenue of legality to make sure anyone knows that this salon is fraud and that action is taken against them. I also have a better written version of this story in their yelp account for anyone reading this, please go look. You will also see other yelp reviewers stating they never got things they ordered from the salon. Also another person commenting that it seems their phone number was blocked. DO NOT BUY OR GO TO THIS SALON. Update 2/24: I found Jason’s Oplands email and asked where my refund is. He actually responded stating he is not affiliated with the salon at all and has no idea what I’m talking about. Either he is lying and stopped working with PLEIJ long ago or Tishe is signing her emails as Jason Opland. I have emails from him stating he is the owner. I STILL DO NOT HAVE A REFUND and have NOT HEARD FROM PLEIJ. Refund. Me. My. Mask. $1,8000!!!!!!!!

I’ve honestly never deal with an online store this poorly organized. I placed my order on the 24th, along with another order from a different store. The other package, a pair of shoes arrived on the 27th, but my order from THIS salon? Nothing. Not shipped, not updated absolutely no progress.😂😂 I get that it’s a busy season, and I wasn’t expecting anyone to work over the holidays. But when it’s not a holiday and still nothing is being done? That’s a problem. If you’re going to offer online sales, the least you can do is ship the products after receiving orders in a reasonable timeframe. This is really disappointing and makes me question whether you’re even prepared to handle online sales. I ordered from this store because it was bit cheaper than amazon but now Imma just order it on amazon even though it’s bit expensive. at this point , just please refund my 72$ order as soon as possible. order number #94009 — Edited — I got email about refund like right after I post review. To change / remove my review and then they can refund it. I changed it to 4 stars but Still, Idk about the service they provided but for buying products here? u should think about it again cuz Im pretty sure u ain’t gonna get ur package at least in 2 weeks🙏🏼

How it all started. The owner was in my line to checking out at Target. The owner brought up how her Salon has a Private room. Perfect for Muslimah’s. I finally made an appointment. I was very pleased with Tanyel. I was so pleased with her performance and personality, that I called the shop to advise how my hair was still flowing after taking my Hijab off. I spent so much time reading through their website and Facebook page. The booking process was super simple and done online and I received confirmation texts, emails and push notifications from the Square Go App. Upon arrival, the entrance/waiting area is decorated so well. I loved the layout and design of place. The receptionist asked if I would like anything to drink while I waited. I love the Cafe’. After my appointment ended. Tanyel gave me a tour of the Salon + Spa. Absolutely beautiful and a home like feeling.

I have to give this place 10 Stars. I came in feeling sorry for myself because at 47 I looked in the mirror and saw a man who shouldn’t have been looking back. Scheduled my consultation and honestly got my socks knocked off on how professional and sympathetic the owner was. She made some suggestions and we’ll See for your self. I have indulged in the Med Spa they offer also and with a little Botox, and micro needling who knew This guy was under that. I highly recommend this salon. A one stop shop for everyone.

Ordered pure athletic pack for $95.90 on August 23. It's September 26th and I have still not heard back from them or received my product. I have turned it over to paypal. They have pretty much robbed me for $95.90.

Do not order products online from this company. They will take a month to arrive and that's only after you call to find out what is taking so long. When your order does finally arrive, it will likely be missing half of the items. I had over $100 of missing products, but received an email stating my order was complete, with no explanation of where the missing items were. I emailed and received no response, so had to call again and leave yet another message. I finally received an email, riddled with grammatical errors, stating that they had refunded me for the missing products with a half apology. This company seems incredibly shady and had I not called and emailed multiple times, I don't believe I would have ever received a refund, nor an acknowledgement of the missing items. Where is my refund for my time spent on this? Where is my refund for pain and suffering in having to deal with such an unprofessional establishment. Absolutely shameful. ********************************************* After posting the above review, the owner sent me an email, apologizing for my poor experience and asking me to take down my review. "I also wanted to humby request that you please remove the Google Review you have posted. These reviews not only impact the business itself, but also each and every one of its employees and their families. In this case most of our employees are hair, skin, massage, and nail professionals that have nothing to do with the online sales department and this team. So again on behalf of myself and my staff I would humbly request that you remove your review." While I appreciate the apology and explanation regarding the online ordering system/vendor issues, that does not change my experience, nor the headache and time spent dealing with this. My review is strictly regarding the online store, for which you are responsible (as you stated yourself in your email to me). However, for the sake of your staff, I will adjust my rating up some from one star. Perhaps the best approach here if you truly want to ensure this doesn't happen again is to reevaluate your overall process/systems since clearly the current one isn't working. If you have an employee out for a month due to illness, it is YOUR responsibility as the owner to ensure that their responsibilities are covered in their absence. Maybe that means completely closing down the online store next time to ensure orders aren't sitting for weeks with no communication made to your customers. I will leave that to you, as the owner, to decide. I, for one, will take my business elsewhere in future. Best of luck in sorting out your communication/organization issues.

Would not recommend Pleij if you are gifting a service. I purchased a gift card for my mom to book any appointment that she wanted to relax and unwind. However, she booked an appointment (no card was asked to be put on file) and she accidentally missed her appointment. She said she received over 5 calls in the last week asking her to callback with a card on file to pay for the no show. She did exactly that as soon as she could because she felt horrible she missed the appointment. She knew that she had taken up a time spot and felt terrible that someone lost out on money. The receptionist insisted that she had to pay for the entire $130 service or she “can never comeback.” She then spent the next 30 minutes attempting to pay for the service but reception was unable to process both a gift card and her credit card. My mom works too hard and has very limited personal time. I wanted to surprise her with this to help her unwind. To hear that reception called that many times, took over 30 minutes to process her credit card/gift card over the phone, and were unkind to her is extremely upsetting. It is the responsibility of whoever books the appointment to get a card on file. Their error should not have caused this much of an issue for my mom. I highly recommend that management sits with reception to retrain them, monitor their customer service, and inform them that they should get the card in the first place when they book the appointment. We will happily never go back to Pleij.

**The stylist I ended up seeing deserves 5 stars but the business deserves zero** I have really long hair and I honestly never know what to do with it or how to style it so I made an appointment with an 'artistic director' so I could get help and maybe find a new style. This includes a consult, wash, haircut and style. I made the appointment on December 30th for January 26th so lots of time to contact me for scheduling issues but I was never contacted. My appointment was for 5pm. At 5:20 I was told the artistic director who I believe is also the owner Tiche was still working on her previous client. I decided at that time to go with another stylist who was great. My problem lies with the business who sent me a confirmation accepting my appointment with fine print saying "The salon does not double book appointment times, but rather reserves specific times for each client" but in the same breath "the salon cannot absorb the financial responsibility of last minute cancellations". So, essentially they expect you to pay them for last minute cancellations because they value their time (which I completely understand and agree with) but the reverse is not true. I am a mother to a small child and making time for myself is not something I often do. I was looking forward to a small pampering session. In the end all I got was a hair cut (no shampoo, no style). It was disappointing since it's not what I booked. I expected the artistic director to maybe come and apologize but she never did. I value my time as well. **The reply from the owner stating I was called by a receptionist is not true. I was not told until 20 mins after I got to the salon that my option was to either rebook or use a different stylist. Additionally, the definition of being overbooked is what happened. If you booked your previous client correctly for her needs/wants you wouldn't have ran over.

I bought a product from them and still haven’t received my order. I ordered it in February 14. It is now March 30. I called the staff and they said they will get back to me within 24 hours. I made about three calls and I still get no updates or help of where my order is.

Charlie is the absolute best! I normally dread haircuts but he made me super comfortable and chatting with him made the time fly. He was dedicated to bringing my hair back to life and made sure to communicate his vision and process. I look forward to working with him again in the future.

Ena gives the best facial. I've been looking for a place to get facial regularly since moving to Columbus and I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the facial services at Pleij with Ena. She is very knowledgeable about skin and passionate about her job. She pays attention to the changes in my skin and adjust the facial to my needs (or better my skin's needs). I always look forward to my appointments with her.

I booked for a massage with Charlie and had an excellent experience. I was welcomed promptly by the front desk with Charlie coming out shortly after. The massage room was beyond comfortable and I was able to sink in and relax. Charlie is a true professional and trauma informed in his massage style. Charlie was receptive to feedback and worked to make the massage a truly restful and healing experience. The owner, Tiche’, is the best stylist professionals with whom I’ve worked. She is skilled beyond measure while being easy to talk to or to let you sit comfortably and relax. I leave the salon loving my hair. Tiche’ has a great team!

I came to Pleij with a vision for my short hair. I was connected to Katya for a consult first, which made me feel confident that we could do it. Yesterday, I got a Perm from Katya with loose spiral curls that was perfect. She did a great job on my hair and the experience at the salon was excellent. It felt luxurious and relaxing, from the music to the massaging wash station chair. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Pleij salon.

I came to the Columbus ohio for a quick getaway. I looked online for a spa looking at the reviews and decided to check out Pleij. It was easily one of the best decision I made on my trip. The calm and peaceful atmosphere, lovely workers and my massage with LInda my goodness was so amazing, I almost cried when my massage was done. The property owner was so warm and friendly. if you are looking for a spa to try out.. let me safe you the search try out Pleij trust me you wont regret it.

I found my soulmate stylist in Charlie! This was my first cut at Pleij though I had received other services there as well. Charlie's whole thing is about making people feel welcomed in his chair, and I truly did. He took the time not only to listen to my ideas but to clarify and explain as he did his magic. I love my haircut and will be back again.

If I could I would give this place a 0 star. I’ve been working w my nail artist for over 5 years as she moved to this place I moved with her. Knowing her busy schedule I called to make an appointment one month ahead for a Saturday. After one month and them texting me to confirm I go there and they send me to someone else. ( if it wasn’t for my important event I would’ve left immediately). First I asked the owner why my appointment was moved to a different person and they said I must’ve given the wrong name ( their name were not even close) and trying to pin it on me. While I’ve been working with my nail tech for years. Then they said someone must’ve changed it and not taking responsibility. Long story short I got my nails done w the person I didn’t want to get them done with who was just a nail tech and I was over charged cause for nail Extentions I never get charged that much. I left and second day my nail broke I tried to call them and no one picks the phone up as if they save numbers and know which number not to pick up Now I took the nails off as I absolutely hated them and all my nails are so weak and keep breaking from the middle. DO NOT GO THIS PLACE OVER RATED AND OVER PRICED—- update to the reply: it’s ridiculously funny how you don’t own up to your mistakes and disregard my review and feelings about what your nail tech did to my nails those nails broke off in less than a week!! It’s not all about how pretty it looks at first 😂It was terrible! But guess you’re so ignorant to accept the fact that your service was unprofessional

My wife used this salon for a hair service. She was very excited about going in, getting ready for her Birthday Party that evening. She came back home in tears. I didn’t see a difference in her hair style at all. I booked her appointment for highlights, haircut and style, but she only got a haircut done. She was told that the stylist doesn’t have enough time to do all the services I had personally booked as her birthday gift. Huge disappointment. Would NOT recommend this place!!!

Pretty salon, but that’s about it. I showed up at my confirmed appointment time, waited for 35 minutes, and left…no followup call or email received from the salon. No receptionist in sight. Owner offered me a glass of water about 20 minutes into my wait but disappeared again and didn’t try to solve the problem. The hair color we received from this salon in the past all needed correction, and they charged us for it. They’re not paying attention to the processing portion when lightening hair and leaving bands, orange pieces, etc. Then…they pass it off as how they meant to do it until you complain. I’ve heard customers complain in the lobby each time I’ve gone. Stylist Katya is super friendly and the only reason I give any stars on this review.

This salon has some of the rudest people I have ever tried to schedule with. The guy at scheduling over the phone has no idea what he is talking about. He scheduled us an appointment then had to call back and inform us that he had scheduled us over top of someone else. This happened more than once, once we finally decided not go with them due to timing issues on their end (we would have been more than happy to go to the appointment that they had originally scheduled us for) they demanded a deposit and told us to “never come back” good news for them is we won’t be back and I hope you look into a salon who is happy to have your business and goes about it in a professional way.
