Over paid $130 for services that wasn’t even worth it. Just a regular full set & toe polish that literally began chipping and breaking days later!

This is probably my 5 or 6th time coming here and everytime it’s something. They’re just very sloppy but there so close to me so I’ve ignored the little mistakes for quite awhile but I can no longer give this business anymore money. I received a full set that resulted in my having a splinter like object in the skin of my Index finger. I really think it can get infected so I know have to go to an urgent care to get it checked out. It’s so painful and my finger is now bloodshot red. I just received the full set yesterday and woke up to my finger like this. The place really isn’t sanitary or ever cleaned, I just don’t recommend

I have been getting my nails done for the better half of 15 years and I hate to write a review like this, but after having 2 terrible experiences I think it's important to let this place know where they are falling short....unfortunately both experiences were with the same nail tech, so I feel bad as this may reflect badly on the business as a whole or the other techs who may be great. First off the last time I was here was a few months ago...I had just moved to the area and was looking for a convenient place to get my nails done on my off days. The service started off by me asking for a fill-before I could stop her she was already cutting my nails off with the nail clippers, so I was of course getting charged for a full set even though I had asked for a fill. Second, the tech starts filing my nails with the drill and pressing so hard it is burning my nails, she also nicked me 3 times and made me bleed each time. I considered leaving multiple times because honestly it was the most painful manicure I have ever gotten in my life. In addition to that I had told the nail tech exactly what I wanted, but she kept trying to upsell me. By the 3rd time I just repeated exactly what I wanted to try to get the point across. At this point I can't wait to get out of this place. Her demeanor was anything but friendly welcoming or hospitable, and the service was anything but enjoyable. After such a bad experience I decided I would not go back to that place. I considered writing a review then, but thought maybe that lady was just having a bad day....Today, the place I have been going was closed for some reason. I was in a hurry and I figured I would give this place another shot. There are many techs in house, so I though the odds of me getting the same lady again were slim, but I was wrong. I didn't remember what the girl looked like from last time, but as soon as she started chopping my nails off after I had clearly asked for a fill I realized It was the same lady. She started with her upselling again and even though I had mentioned my nails were very sensitive in hopes that she would be more careful , she went on with the aggressive filing with the drill. After getting nicked yet again I told her I was going to need to go somewhere else to get my nails done. This has been my worst nail salon experience twice now. I had a 30 minute electrolysis session done today, a nail service should in no way be anywhere close to as painful as that. So disappointing as I would have been a regular customer here with convenience of the location.

I honestly hate writing this because I don’t dislike this salon. I have been here at least 15 times and gotten different services and honestly it’s very inconsistent. But one thing that is consistent is the insanely high prices.. and the lack of luxury. I never mind paying a lot for great service but I find it so hard to relax here. They don’t prioritize your comfort. They don’t offer beverages or any extra frills but the prices you pay are that or a luxury spa. So I can’t leave a 5 star review. I often find myself having to correct the person doing my pedicure even though I always show photos of exactly the shape I want. Other times it’s amazing and I have no complaints with my nails.I think they should put more effort into making sure the customer who wants nail art or acrylic pedis is placed with a nail tech who specializes in these things. Also if they are going to continue with the luxury prices please offer refreshments and other things to make the experience more luxurious

Was recommended this place by someone I know. I’ve seen them go to nice nail shops before where drinks were served and all so I expected that. This was no where near that level of luxury. Not luxury at all. Run of mill shop. Or maybe less than that. Not sure. I usually go to luxe places. Is it normal nowadays to get a pedicure with no jets on and have your feet soak for maybe a total of 6 minutes of an hour long service ? Is it normal to not be asked about water temperature? Is it normal to file back and forth instead of in a singular direction like a lot of cosmetology/aesthetician schools teach ? Is it normal to not even have air condition running and no fans in use while the doors are open during the summer? Is it normal to essentially just get a polish change instead of a pedicure when you book a basic ? Cut my mom’s toe and then tried to not acknowledge that she was bleeding. After a little back and forth she added some antiseptic. But she put the bottle to the piece of cotton ball that had already been dabbing up the blood. Very unsanitary. The tool that had her blood on it was not sanitized. Then she proceeded to grab the yellow scrubber from the ground a few times. Also unhygienic. Trash shouldn’t be tossed in the pedi bowl until after the aquatic part is over. Their version of cleaning the chair is just wiping with a basic towel. Not spraying or anything between customers. And why are items being grabbed from the “soiled” box to use on clients? Maybe a refresher course is needed. The space itself is very tight. The sink for hand washing is small and right by a pedicure station. I would hate to be the one right there. There’s also so much trying to upsell. It’s honestly very annoying. If people constantly say they want one service , and do not want to change that service / are fine with it , let it be. It was happening all over the salon. Why are a lot of the products somewhat watered down? Now one nice thing I’ll say, the lady doing gel-x next to us did what looked like a good job. And to whoever does the responses to reviews, do not bother responding to me. I can see how you are dismissive of concerns.

Paid $153 (including tip) for one of the worst gel manicures & pedicures! They suggested hard gel on my nails to “make it grow” which was more expensive and i agreed. Drilled and filed my nails to the point they were hurting and i told her to stop. The gel burned like crazy under uv which she claimed was normal & it would pass. Every nail a different shape!! Pedicure she didn’t even take off the dead skin on my feet! I will legit never go back to this place!

I've been going to Polished for over 4 years now (first and only place I've gone to since moving to LA) and I have no complaints! no matter what design you want, they will take care of you and the results are always spot on. I've barely ever had issues with availability, whether it is walking in or scheduling an appointment, and the staff is so friendly and kind. they always make me feel like all my needs will be taken care of and that they value me as a customer. plus, i'm constantly getting compliments on my nails because of how beautiful they always turn out. couldn't recommend it enough. here are some sets i've gotten just this year.

This place is great. I love San - she is truly brilliant and funny to talk to. I get my nails done every ~ 3 weeks and have only had either EXCEPTIONALLY done nails (especially when I stick exclusively to San) or really pretty good ones when i've strayed to a different tech due to scheduling I've never had a full miss - which over the 3 years at one salon is pretty impressive. They're easy to schedule with. I will still come here when I leave downtown - def worth the hassle

I’ve been going to Polished for 3 years. Always a great experience and they have pretty good availability because they have many pedicure chairs. It’s really clean, the staff is super nice and they have Apres Gel X. They have really nice pedicure options with massage or CBD.

Made an apt to be seen at 5 and waited over an hour and 40 min to be seen. After that the lady was trying to charge me a bunch of different prices. On top of that she cut me twice and I asked her just to paint them I didn’t want them scrubbed and she did it anyways I just wanted it to be over this was the worst pedicure experience I’ve ever had, my toenails weren’t even straight. I always tip 20% but this time I barley could even bring myself to tip 10% such a waste of my time and very unprofessional. Not to add they used the same dirty utensils on me as the client before without cleaning.Don’t waste your time money or risk your health!!

They rip you off, they wanted me to pay 70$ for just a hardening gel. (No extension, no real manicure)!! Online it says 43$… Definitely ask for the price before sitting down. The gel started chipping after one week, although she promised me 6 weeks. Would not recommend. The procedure itself was okay and the nail tech was friendly.

i got a gel mani/ pedi and it wasn’t a great experience. im usually a regular but i don’t believe ill be coming back. there were two techs working on me, one on my feet the other on my hands. i wasn’t pleased with a nail that was over painted and made my small nail look twice as big and un proportioned to the rest of my toenails. i had to ask three times for the nail to be fixed and even got hushed and told to relax by the tech doing my hands. eventually the tech on my feet removed and fixed it. i was still displeased with the service and not in love with my nails but at this point i just want to leave so i paid, tipped and went home. i ended up fixing them up myself at home but the nails didn’t even last a full day before they chipped and cracked. it’s not worth the money spent

Great customer service and professional. Nicely kept and decorated. First time, pedi and acrylic fill. Love my shape, very satisfied! Annie is amazing, I will go back to get my nails done just to get Annie's service and detailed care for what the customer wants.

My friend and I had a mani/pedi date there, and we both felt that the service was very rushed. The fastest in-n-out mani/pedi experience ever! My nails were shaped to my liking, and I liked that the water for soaking my feet was warmer than normal, but it is not worth $66 I paid + tip (this is for a basic, basic mani/pedi with a heel scrub). My friend and I were disappointed and will not be returning to this place.

i got my nails done today . ombre . and they did great . was quick . does walk ins let me come right in and get them done . i paid $105 and honestly not complaining due to how great the nails are , the price is how it should be. and they were so professional. the lady that did my nails was really sweet also ! i’ll definitely be back .
