They are fantastic! The level of professionalism and kindness is superb! They basically transformed my look with a haircut. I’ve been getting my haircut in the Ponoci Studio for 4 years now. Armand, the owner, is my favorite and a hair sculptor! For the quality and service, this place is incredibly cheap!

Armand is the best! He is the only hairdresser my son will go to. He’s patient and kind and knows how to work with different hair types. My son always leaves the studio with a great haircut.

I've been to Ponoci Hair Studio twice now, and both visits have been great. The first time, Armand gave me a trim and cut my long bangs, which turned out great. On my second visit, Nana recommended some face-framing layers that really complemented my style. I loved the results both times! The atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. I appreciate the personalized recommendations from both Armand and Nana—they really take the time to understand what you want and offer expert advice. I’m definitely happy with my hair both times and will be back for future cuts!

I went in looking for a very simple blowout with a curl at the bottom with photos from their website as reference. I have very curly hair and I know it’s not the easiest to do, but I have never been to a salon and left with a worse blow out. The blowout looked nothing like the photo - I left with actual curls in my hair. My roots and hair on the bottom of my head were frizzy and not done properly. It would be fine except the hair on the bottom of my head no longer has curls. They used no product in my hair and now I have to redo it for an event I have tonight. I will not be returning.

Armand has been cutting my hair for 10 years. He is a kind and thoughtful person. He always gives amazing cuts and his salon is gorgeous. If you can't get an appointment with Armand I still recommend Ponoci for it's warm and inviting atmosphere.

Nana gave me a terrific new style with a wash-and-go haircut that makes me happy. It was my first time at Ponoci, and I'll be returning--both for the expert cut and genuinely nice vibe in the salon. Update October 2024: Still loving my haircuts by Nana at Ponoci.

I loved my first experience at Ponoci! Nana did an amazing job and was very efficient. The staff got me in and out in such a great amount of time. They were very nice and listened to exactly what I wanted. Can not recommend Nana enough! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my haircut

I have gotten two haircuts by Carlos and I have been very happy with his work each time. Carlos takes the time to listen and makes very helpful suggestions. I love the symmetry of the haircut and it grows out beautifully as well. My hair has movement and volume which I was lacking. I feel very pretty with this haircut and the styling effort is minimal. Carlos is very talented.

Just left Ponoci’s and cannot say enough wonderful things about the salon! I am passing through Philly on my way to a reunion in Boston and asked if they’d be able to accommodate me last minute for a blow out and they were amazing! The people who work there are warm and welcoming and very skilled with hair. At the same time I was getting my hair done, several men came in for haircuts and styles and left looking fabulous :) it was fun to be a fly on the wall in a new city and I was just so impressed by the way they made me feel like family! Cannot recommend enough to Philly locals looking for a wonderful salon experience or those passing through trying to add a little more fan to their day :) THANK YOU Ponoci team!!!!

Came here for first time after seeing reviews and left disappointed. I grew my hair out for 2 months to get a style and I got all of my length chopped off in 15 minutes. I had hesitation when my stylist was cutting my hair thinking that everywhere else I have been to they always use side clips to be cautious of not shortening the length but she just chopped off my entire hair giving me a terrible look. I thought I could work it at home with styling but even after hours of struggling , I can’t fix it . My hair is making my face shape look so weird. It has left all the length in the middle and everything from the side is chopped off. I would really hope that when we describe our needs, the stylists are listening and considering those instead of doing a cookie cutter style. I’ll have to wait 2 more months now to get back my lengths.

I had my first haircut since moving to Philly with Katie at Ponoci. My hair had grown quite long and I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted coming in, but Katie was extremely helpful in figuring out a shorter style that still had texture to work with. I would recommend Ponoci and Katie to a friend without hesitation.

I’ve recently started going to Ponoci Hair Studio, I do not want to get my hair done anywhere else. I was looking for someone that could help repair some damage in my hair, and my stylist exceeded my expectations. In addition to repairing my hair, Ponoci is a great place to just relax. The entire staff is very friendly and professional, and they make the experience comfortable and enjoyable throughout. I also love the products that they use; my hair feels very well-hydrated and healthy whenever I leave the salon. I’ve been working with Carlos, and he is fantastic. I was surprised by how quickly he was able to help create a new style for me that I loved. He listened to exactly what I needed, and I felt that my hair was in safe hands. He’s definitely masterful at what he does, and I greatly appreciate him and all of the stylists at Ponoci.
