I love the fact I can book a blow dry same day and rely on this salon when I need to get something done. It can be hit or miss with the stylist though, sometimes they’re exceptional, other times I found I have to be very specific or I walk out with a style that just isn’t there. Some stylists are on point and others, less so. Their products are great and their prices within the scope of a blow dry salon in SF.

Posh is a standard salon that’s also a high-traffic blowout bar. I’ve gotten special occasion blowouts here occasionally for years (never with the same stylist twice) but this review is really only about Ethan. He is a wizard. So glad I found him!

I had a dry haircut with no styling that took around 15 minutes; over the phone, I received conflicting information about how much I’d be charged compared to when I was in person and charged $145 as a regular haircut for this. Was told it would be much less considering it was a lesser service; while it was a good haircut and the stylist was sweet, the experience of admin left a bad taste. Would have absolutely returned otherwise.

I’ve been here several times before so decided to book a blowout for New Years Eve. My new years plans ended up changing so I called the day before to cancel my appointment. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy which I was well within (I think I called 27 hours before my appt time) but the girl on the phone had claimed for NYE, they had a 48 hour policy and they were going to charge me for half the service. lol, if you’re making up new policies for holidays, then you need to tell that to the client. I even got an email confirmation that clearly stated the cancellation policy was 24 hours (see picture.) She ended up getting a manager who was quite rude and then acted like THEY were doing me a favor by not charging me. If you want your policy to change for NYE, then you need to adjust your email confirmation stating the new policy. Annoying situation with rude employees. I won’t return!

If I am booking a “Master Stylist” for a blowout, they need to possess Master Stylist skills. I paid over $100 for a blow out, it took an hour and 15 minutes, I waked out and my hair frizzed. Too much product and I had to go home and redo my hair which was difficult because so much product was used my hair felt dirty. My hair looked better when I waked in. I have tried this salon twice and have been disappointed both times. I was very clear about my expectations but I guess you have to have stick straight, oily hair to get a good blowout. No talent needed for that type of hair.

I see lily for blowouts and she is truly a gem!! I am super picky about my blowout (I also have extensions), but she crushes it every time. I leave feeling so beautiful!! She has such good energy and a cool vibe. 🩷

Horrible service… called to make an appointment after their online platform didn’t work. Girl said I was all set. Called same day to confirm and a different girl answered, saying that she did not see my name anywhere in the system. Was very rude and lackadaisical, completely snotty about it. When you make a blunder that big you can at least act professionally. Don’t recommend this place!

I went to get a style for my engagement shoot and this is what they gave me - this was the third attempt by two different stylists. The receptionist was very kind, but the stylists are absolutely terrible.

I left there crying my eyes out and embarrassed as I’ve ever been in my entire lifeI. I have to say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon. I could compare it to the time that Julia Roberts went into the really Swanky clothing boutique in Beverly Hills in the movie “Pretty Woman” when Julia was denied service because of the way she looks. Meredith, the stylist was nice she did a great job, But when it was time to rinse my hair out from a full highlight I fell asleep in the chair because Meredith give me a fine head massage. I was very tired of the time and it took them a couple minutes to wake me up. So they made a huge spectacle of the case Andre this around apologizing to clients and called the cops on me. They wouldn’t let me drive my car home because I was sleeping during the hairs washing so I had to take a $30Uber Home and pick up my car later. Needless to say I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values their self-esteem or freedom.

Love posh salon! I usually look up best hairdressers in the city when I move because finding a good hairdresser is very important. My hair is cut short with an a line and it's been very hard to find someone that knows how to cut short hair. I found Michelle at posh this way. I moved from Dubai 2 years ago and have been going to her ever since. She is my favorite hairdresser I have ever had and I'm 41. I love her. It's like a work of art every time I go in. I get so many compliments. I made her give me her number in case she ever leaves posh because I don't want to lose her.

Posh will always be my go to salon as long as Vee is there! She is the kindest, most talented colorist. Every time I leave I walk out feeling beautiful and literally receive compliments CONSTANTLY!

Went for a blow dry and lashes b/c it’s close by. Blow dry was okay —Stylist was nice but overall experience wasn’t great. (She blow dried my hair on top of my shirt—I didn’t even get a cape) As for the lashes, well horrible. This was a different person, and she used individual lashes which is fine, but I think she put maybe three on each eye, charged me $25 and I couldn’t even tell I had any on. Didn’t say anything but I should’ve. Normally, I use StyleBee and after this experience, I’ll continue b/c I’m very disappointed esp about the lashes.
