Had the best experience as always with my favorite stylist shavelle! She’s been doing my hair for almost 4 years now and never disappoints. She is very sweet and knows what she’s talking about and just overall a good experience when sitting in her chair!! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went to this salon as part of a bridal party. Overall, it is a very cute salon and the women were all extremely friendly. They did a great job with all of our hairstyles, as well as makeup. They also finished ahead of schedule. We were offered eye lashes and they did such a great job trimming as I was not bothered by the lashes at all. I would say the foundation was a bit much and seemed to age all of us, but I think that is to be expected with event makeup. The salon itself is cute. The elevator was a bit sketchy however.

Angie, Savannah, and Christina were absolutely amazing on our wedding day. They were punctual, professional, and helped our entire wedding party look amazing. I couldn’t be happier with the end result and all made our morning really fun as the crew prepped for a long day ahead. Thanks for everything!

It had been a while since I made an appointment at Pretty Salon but I recalled always being happy with the results. I rarely complain about any product or service but this time I definitely was not pleased with the results. It had taken me over a year to grow my hair out to the length I wanted. I asked the stylist several times to cut it no shorter than the bottom of my ear lobes with some soft layers and stacked in the back. It will probably take me another year to grow it back to the length I wanted. It was cut SO short that I just wanted to cry when I left. It looks terrible and I am so disappointed. I have tried numerous ways of styling it myself but to no avail. I guess I'll be wearing a lot of hats for the next few months.

Savannah, Christina, and Angie did our wedding over the weekend at hotel Monaco and were the best team we’ve dealt with for the wedding. We wanted to invite them to the festivities. They were super punctual, professional, and hilarious. Everyone loved working with them and they were just fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. Highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience here. I came in with lots of questions about how to care for my hair, which has changed in texture and strength over the years and acted completely different when we lived on the West Coast. My stylist, Gianna Garland, exceeded my expectations here. She was friendly, accommodating, and a great listener. I asked her at least a dozen questions about hair care, and none of them phased her. She was knowledgeable about hair science, and instructed me on how to work with my hair structure to avoid breakage. She readily let me check every ingredient list for allergens and smell every bottle to make sure the fragrance wouldn't give me a headache. I didn't get a complicated cut or color or dramatic style, but I left feeling good about my hair for the first time in a long time. Hopeful. I made several of her recommended changes in the following week or so, and am already noticing an improvement in how my hair looks and feels. I'm definitely coming back for my next cut.

10/10 recommend Shavelle as your stylist at Pretty Hair Salon. She really pays attention to detail & does a great job of making sure to give you exactly the style you’re looking for. Not only do I get my color done by her (Blonde Balayage) but she also styles and braids my hair. I get many complaints every time I get my hair done from her. If you’re looking for someone consistent that truly cares about not only the image that you have of your hair but also the overall health of your hair then you should definitely schedule your appointment with her at Pretty Hair Salon.

I really loved my color but the stylist seemed annoyed with me cause of her rushed styling job and the fact my head looked off because she didn’t style it right. I mentioned a few times what was off but she didn’t want to fix it for, I left with my hair feeling off that I had to go home and fix it before finishing my errands. And I’m not that picky. It was the fact she just wanted me to go and didn’t even seem to hide that. I may try another stylist because I did love the color.

It’s almost 3 weeks and I am still getting compliments for my hair, this salon is amazing! Jess Imler did my hair. She is amazing! Jess was friendly, kind, was knowledgeable and did a great job coloring my hair, she made some amazing suggestions and magically transformed my hair to easily manageable! I would definitely recommend her! Thanks Jess!!

I’ve been wanting to go blonde ever since I was a kid. With that being said, Shavelle got me from my natural dark brown hair to this bright and beautiful blonde and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She is amazing at what she does; and she’s the only person I trust with my hair. I definitely recommend going to her for all of your blonding needs. I couldn’t have asked for someone better.

Pretty Hair Salon is the best. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. The stylist I go to is Christina Oros (Ina) and I absolutely love her. Her ability to transform hair is magical, she is a true artist. Now I found my self in her chair about two years ago when I was a few months postpartum. I had been turned away from every salon I went to because I had used box dyes on my hair for YEARS and I wanted blonde balayage. Even though I explained to the other salons that I knew it would be a long and costly process, they still turned me down because they didn’t want to try. My fiancé’s family sent me to pretty hair salon to see Ina, when she told me she’d be willing to take on this hair journey with me, I actually cried. I left my first appointment feeling pretty for the first time since becoming a mother, I will never forget how much that helped me in such a vulnerable time. I’ve gone to her for my hair since, now here we are two years later. I’ve had the most beautiful blonde balayage from her, and today we did an absolutely gorgeous ombré copper color. My favorite thing about Ina is that she is always ready for a challenge and she’s actually excited about it, unlike other places I’ve been to who seem to want to do the easy way out. Amazing hair skills aside, she’s truly a wonderful person. A no pressure kind of person that is easy to talk to. If you aren’t feeling the best about yourself, go see Ina, she will give your hair a makeover that would make Cinderella’s fairy godmother jealous.

I’ve gone dark red, ginger red, fully brunette & currently have extensions in my hair all done by Shavelle!! She truly is the best and always does my hair the exact way I ask for it. What happened to me tonight is just UNBELIEVABLE. I scheduled an appointment with Christina Oros at 5.45 pm and I ended up working until 5.00 pm (I work in a hospital and sometimes it's just unpredictable) and since I don't own a car, I tried to book an uber/lyft from Pittsburgh downtown to 6000 Babcock Blvd but couldn't find any driver willing to drive me over there because too far. I waited 30 minutes to have a driver assigned and when I realized I would have been late, I called the hair salon to be polite and inform of my delay. Unfortunately, during that call, the driver I got in that moment cancelled too and I had to wait for 15 minutes more for the next driver so I called the hair salon again to inform that I had to cancel the appointment because I didn't want to create any discomfort, explaining the whole situation. There has been NO FLEXIBILITY, UNDERSTAING NOR CLIENT CARE in making an exception for just one time, also considering that I'm a new client and was bringing a friend with me that wanted to schedule an appointment too. Therefore, they charged me my 67 $ hair cut fee to get NO CUT. I wonder if that's the right way to run a business? Preferring to get 67$ today to then lose two clients that could have brought much more money in the future. I've NEVER experienced something like this, especially in the person of Heather that was also pretty rude. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!

Excellent hair salon. I've always gotten good cuts and color here. They're up on the latest trends and also did a phenomenal job on updos and curls at the weddings I've been in! Highly recommend.

I decided I wanted a change. Shev has been doing my blonde for a long time and I decided I wanted to go red! (she warned me that it would be a big change but would be more than happy to do it). She took the time to tell me everything she was doing so I knew what to expect. She got me to this beautiful red and even did this beautiful butterfly haircut on me! All of the stylists and workers there were complimenting it and were being so kind and hyping it up. Shavelle is definitely my go to stylist for everything!

I started seeing Amanda Bamrick about 18 months ago after I convinced her to take me as a new client. She took her time to assess what color would work the best for me - and meet my goals. She has done a complete transformation during that time. Plus she’s s lot of fun, and easy to spend time with!

I started seeing Gianna at pretty hair salon a little less than a year ago for pre wedding highlights. She is incredible, so sweet and nice! She’s easy to talk to and very relatable. The salon is very clean, everyone is so nice and the prices are affordable!

Since 2021, stylists at Pretty Hair Salon have done my foil highlights, balayage, haircuts, hair styling, and eyebrow waxing. Their other services include single-process color, perms, bridal hair and makeup, lash lifts and tints, etcetera. The stylists always start my appointments on time, make friendly conversation, color my hair with a flattering tone and level, and give me shapely haircuts. The cost varies based on the service and stylist, but my services always cost over a couple hundred dollars.

So. I waited a few weeks to write this review. I really always do try to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt in situations like this... But its been about a month now and the salon/stylist has has PLENTY of time to remedy this, and chose not to. Here is what happened: I came in for balayage highlights. The woman who did my hair was very young and spoke to me a little condescending. But I really didn't let it bother me at all. At the end of the appointment. My hair looked... Okay.. I wasn't over the moon, but I wasn't unhappy either. It was just okay. I payed for the service which was 260 dollars! (wow) for highlights and toner and a terrible blowout. Before I left I booked a spray tan for 2 weeks out because I had a wedding to attend. They don't let you tip the stylists on your card. So I CashApp'd the woman that did my hair. She said, "it didn't go through, try again." So I sent another 40 dollars. A week goes by and I get an email saying that I missed an appointment. I called right away to say that my appointment was supposed to be on the FOLLOWING Thursday, and they made a booking mistake. They really didn't like that lol. SO they booked me for the right day BUT not before taking my credit card information. (shady). All of that should have been the end of the road for me, but, like I said, I tried to get them an honest chance. I check my bank account and that 40 dollar tip she said she never got, DID GO THROUGH. So I sent her 80 dollars... thinking I only send 40.00. I send her a CashApp request for the "accidental" overtip. 1 week goes by... no return 2 weeks... now 3 weeks.... Still no return! T his girl straight up SCAMMED ME! Keep in mind, I have only stepped foot in this salon ONE TIME! When I realized what happened I immediately canceled my appointment and went to the wedding pasty and pale with... just OKAY hair. I wont be going back and you shouldn't either!
