Will upload pics at home once I take some selfies but from the first time I called the salon and explained what I was looking to do, I was so impressed with how polite the staff is. They were so accommodating, even being willing to work within my budget so we could come to an agreement on what we could do within it. I was set up with Taylor for an in-person consultation and from the first 5 minutes she completely gained my trust. It is so hard to start over when you move, especially when it comes to finding people you trust with your hair, nails, etc., but Taylor is the BEST I’ve seen in a while. She is such a good listener! From that consult, we determined the shade of blonde that would suit my complexion best, and narrowed down the fine details like down to the width of the highlights themselves. She’s so good at explaining and she really helped me express what I was looking for when I was stuck on words. The day of the appointment came and she restated what we talked about to assure we’re both on the same page before starting, even encouraging me to share more pictures of what I was looking for. Taylor is such a talent and strong addition to this salon, you can tell she loves her job and truly makes you want to come back. I can be known to be very picky but she did such a great job and left me feeling like a new person! I am not easy to please but her work is stunning. I’m so happy with it all. 🥹 The salon itself is clean, adorable and trendy, and so accommodating. I remember getting a scalp massage and the choice of having a warm compress over my eyes while I was processing at the shampoo bowl. I had brought myself a snack but they had a sweet little station of free snacks and even some coffee and drinks in a mini fridge while you waited. I was asked more than once if I needed anything at all and if I was comfortable.The stylists here are trained to make you feel valued as a client and not like walking dollar signs. Anyway, this is the place to go if you’re ready to try something new!

Laura and Prickly Pear Salon are both amazing! Laura is the best at understanding what my hair wants are and matching it with what my hair needs. Her skill is amazing, and I look forward to my appointment each time. I truly cannot give the salon and Laura enough kudos!

My mom and I love coming here. This salon goes above and beyond for their clients and for the community. Its heartwarming to see their continued involvement in philanthropy. They are scientists when it comes to mixing and creating the perfect shades and truly listen to their clients ideas. I feel so lucky to be a client here! Thank you for all the joy you bring!

I have loved my experience here after following Emily from a salon much closer to home, but the extra drive is worth it! Emily is so skilled and always delivers, even when I’m not quite sure how to express what it is I want. That’s a talent! And the atmosphere at Prickly Pear is very upbeat, the stylists clearly all get along well and their focus is making clients comfortable and beautiful.

Cassie is amazing. I was really unhappy with where my hair was at before I went to Prickly Pear. I left my appointment with exactly the shag cut I wanted and feeling fabulous. She really heard me, looked at the pictures I brought, and talked to me about what was realistic for my hair type. So happy!

The absolute best salon experience I have ever had. Beth was able to talk through all my hair goals and come up with an awesome plan at my consultation. When I came in for my appointment and switched up my color Emily literally hit it out of the park and made my hair dreams come true. Laura the owner was on hand to lend a hand with all my thick hair and Kayla at the front is so nice and on top of it. My experience at prickly pear far surpassed any experience I have ever had at a salon. Everyone was super welcoming and awesome. I’m so excited to go back! Update: so it’s been almost a year since I started going to prickly pear and I feel like it’s worth updating that this continues to be the highlight of my week and month! Every single time I get my hair done the experience is better than the last time. I leave the salon feeling gorgeous even when I have had a bad day. I seriously cannot recommend Emily, Laura, and the whole prickly pear team enough. They are the best!

Bethany did a fantastic job with my hair. It's been a month since I've gotten my haircut and I still love the style. She listened to what I wanted and offered her expert advice when needed. I felt comfortable expressing my preferences and speaking up throughout the appointment. The salon has a welcoming atmosphere, and the entire staff is genuinely friendly. I had a great experience here and highly recommend it.

This is the cutest salon! You walk in and immediately feel so comfortable. Emily is my hair stylist and she always does an amazing job. My hair color always looks so natural, and she cuts my thinner hair perfectly to give it more volume. My hair is staying super healthy thanks to Emily giving me beautiful color and cuts. She is super laid back and it’s always a relaxing experience with her at Prickly Pear!!

When I tell you this is a great salon, I mean it!!! They are AMAZING. Bethany did my cut and she was great at deciphering my gibberish for what I was looking for. Her consult was great and she delivered exactly what I was looking for. Came in with over a year in between cuts and left with BANGS! That actually look good!! 10/10! They didn’t have a lot of availability so I put myself on a waitlist and was able to get in a few weeks before the next scheduled opening. If you can be flexible, I had a great experience with this. There was great communication for scheduling.

I absolutely love the way Bethany cuts my bangs and my bangs are my life! I also love their questionnaire they have you fill out before every visit with what kind of experience you'd prefer that day and the snacks you'd like to enjoy while there.

10/10 recommend coming here!! the salon itself is so pretty and comforting, and the employees are super sweet, personable, and knowledgeable about all things hair. they are incredibly accommodating and even have lil snacks and drinks. this was my first time coming in and I only got a cut + layers but Cassie did a great job and my hair feels SO MUCH healthier now!! she even gave me some good product recs and a lil goodie bag. honestly it was the most relaxing experience I've ever had in a salon. I'll def be back in the future whether that's for a color or another cut !!

First time at Prickly Pear and Emily did an amazing job coloring and cutting my hair! She knew exactly what I was looking for and took the time to talk me through it. Beyond that, everyone else in the salon was very welcoming, fun, and friendly. It felt like being surrounded by friends! Definitely recommend!!

I am so glad I found Bethany and the Prickly Pear! The atmosphere is instantly relaxing once you walk in and all the products smell awesome without being overpowering. Bethany is a true gem! She is so fun, down to earth and extremely knowledgeable about her craft. During my first visit, I asked for a long bob and her skills were unmatched! It was perfect 🤩 I’ve also had balayage and other color treatments - Bethany is a true color wizard! If you’re in the market for a new stylist, check Bethany out. Thank you for everything!

I don’t even know if I have the words to describe my amazing experience at the Prickly Pear, but I’ll do my best. I had my hair cut there over a week ago, and have waited to leave my review until now just to make sure that I loved it as much as I thought I did. I have the ever-so-sweet Bethany as my stylist when I went, and I can confidently say that I’ve never felt more at home than when I was in this salon. I’ve had haircut horror stories before, but as soon as I walked in, I knew I’d found the place for me. Bethany cut several inches off of my hair and re-dyed my money piece. I can CONFIDENTLY say that I’ve never loved my hair more. The entire time she was doing my hair, she kept checking with me to make sure that the style and color was coming out exactly how I wanted, and offered me a water and snacks maybe… seven times, just to make sure I was comfortable. The whole staff at the Prickly Pear is absolutely darling, and I know that when I return, I will have just as much fun as I did the first time. To anyone new to town like I am, GO TO THE PRICKLY PEAR!!! You will not regret it, I promise!! 1000/10 experience, and incredible hair. Love these ladies, so excited to go back for a touch up in a few weeks!!

I love everything about Prickly Pear! The decor, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff. I see Bethany and she is has such a great vibe about her. It's like your best friend is playing with your hair! They offer free snacks and water/tea/coffee while you get pampered. My most favorite part is all the ladies of Prickly Pear will share in conversation! At one point the whole salon was sharing stories. I just love how you can come as you are and be loved for it here. I've been to salons before where I've felt less than or too broke to be there...not here! If you are an introvert, fear not, they offer silent appointments as well!

Impressed and still a bit giddy over my gorgeous hair. Cassie is a talent. She listened to my ideas/concerns and used her expertise and excellent understanding of color to give me the hair color and cut I’ve always wanted 🥰. My hair has never looked this healthy and beautiful. Kayla at the front desk is pure sunshine ☀️. She is accommodating, kind, and pragmatic 🩷. After searching for the right fit in a salon, I have found a gem 💎. I love the positive energy, safe/cozy atmosphere, and eco-friendly practices. Laura at Prickly Pear has been going above and beyond for me for the past 4 years now. I had massive stress about who I allowed to cut my hair, going YEARS in between haircuts all my adult life. I feel so at ease at Prickly Pear knowing that I’m in good hands with such an empowering, caring and passionate environment. I would recommend Laura and any of the stylists here to anyone!

My hair is my kinda wavy, thick, and has a mind-of-its-own. I'm new to the area and was nervous about finding a hair stylist who would understand my hair like my previous hair magician. The whole establishment is super cute and comfy! Everyone is welcoming and kind; Bethany was my stylist and she was amazing! She did exactly what I wanted and involved me in the process the whole time she was cutting my hair, and I felt super comfortable the whole time. ☺️
