I booked an appointment for my daughter who was a flower girl in a wedding. It was the night that Helene was coming through metro Atlanta. Granted our area was pretty much untouched. They sent notice of the shop closing at 11pm the night before, making it impossible for me to make alternate plans. I sent an email requesting a deposit refund because of the unforeseen circumstances on their part and that a rescheduling wasn’t possible on mine. I have yet to hear back. It is the lack of customer service for me.

I booked an appointment online to only get a call from someone at the location changing the time and not confirming it with anyone else leading to my daughter not getting her hair done at all. I would not recommend this location or their services. Please improve your operations!

Unprofessional. I come in and everyone looking like I’m not there. I finally ask can someone check me in, then the manager begrudgingly checks me in with strong attitude. Then when it’s time to start the session the stylist did not know how to trim. She was nice enough to ask someone else but that’s ridiculous. This was our second time trying them. It’s a firm no. A bunch of mean faced unhappy women.

I started bringing my daughter to get her hair done by SIMONE at Princess Hair Pizazz - Cumberland when she was 1 yrs old and she is now almost 3. Literally, she has been so amazing! My daughter’s hair has grown so much! She is not only talented , but sweet , accommodating, and patient. I recommend anyone to give her shot! Thank you for always making my baby girl feel like a Princess. Princess Hair Pizazz is the best!!!!!

Book now! I was at the Cumberland location, it was a busy day and their was a special event going on. Kamara was excellent at communicating with me and the kids. She is amazing! I was worried that my girls would get rushed, instead they were treated like royalty! All the staff were very kind and went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, even letting me use a spare table to work on my laptop! The owner came in and it was truly inspiring to see her leadership the staff clearly love working for her and we can see why, she was especially kind to my daughters. I definitely feel like we went in for braids and came out with new friends and role models!

Unfortunately, this business is not reliable. The last few times I’ve booked an appointment, they have cancelled within a couple hours of the scheduled appointment time. As the parent of a daughter, this is rudely inconvenient- I’d already taken my daughter’s hair down and we had plans later in the day. And yes, I understand things happen, but impromptu cancellations have happened to us a number of times here. This shop used to be amazing (I left great reviews before), but it has consistently declined over the years. There’s a revolving door of stylists and you’d better make back-up plans for any scheduled appointments just in case “something happens” and you get cancelled.

Walk ins are advertised as welcomed but everytime I’ve called either days in advance or weeks in advance there’s never availability . I don’t get it because money should always be the motive . I called today and immediately was told nothing was available but online had a 4pm time easily available to book

So I tried to make and appointment on line all for app to tell me the appointment that I book was nolonger available and that the next available day was Wednesday wich was going to be to late so I figured it did not go through because I never got a txt saying my card was charged well on Tuesday I get a txt saying I missed my appointment and a charge on my card so I call the place to see what was going on because I clearly could have not missed my appointment because I thought it never got booked this place is very unprofessional if I missed it yes charge but I called as soon as I got the txt to explain to them that I had not realized that my booking do go through because of the screen that popped up that said the next available day was Wednesday the young lady said it was nonething I could do I asked can I get a new date for service because I truly did not realize it got booked it was no I am on a fixed income just trying to get my granddaughter hair done I was never rude I am sick of these small black businesses that want our support but don't have any customer service skills at all I understand if your late or don't show up bit I explained I never got a email I don't even check my emails I so new to this makeing appointment online thing I hated to waste my money ibwhoyld have brought my daughter to get her hair done bit to losses my money like that it hurt especially when I never knew I booked with these ladies it's sad to take from your customers cause I don't mind paying bit to just give my money away for nonething is crazy it's ways to try to help your customers out to try and fix the problem

The experience was not all that I was expecting it to be I had heard good things about the place. The one I wanted to go to was book so thinking they were the same place it should be great all around. I told that this place treat the little girl like princess 👸 and that you didn’t have to sit and watch your child because they would be taking care of and be treated like a princess and that was not the case at all. So number 1 I was great by the young lady to right friendly that a 10. We got the early then still had to wait after my child’s appointment time. And out of the blue I hear take her hair down which it was already down but just took them out the plates down. Then ten mins after that she walks up and so what she getting. It was no hello how are you what’s your name have you ever been here before no thing. So I told her I book a silk press with style so I started to say I want curls and with the top up like Shirley temple curls. I could not get it out before she started to walk off telling my baby to come and then just left her standing no communication at all and child was very smart so at the point I was a little worried about how this experience was going to go for her. I left and came right back because I just didn’t feel it in my heart that it would be ok and sure enough my baby was uncomfortable. We didn’t say anything just let it be and waited patiently for it to be over. It a lot more but it was just not a good experience for us and her first time it was not a wow or anything cause I could have done this at home instead of paying someone to do.You would think it was just about braiding hair if I knew that I would have done something different But it was her big today the next and I wanted her to feel pretty and we didn’t get that But thank you for your time

Alicia did soooo good on my daughter’s hair! She squeezed us in and she was so nice! These ladies really gave her the princess salon experience! I wanted her to feel how my mom and grandma made me feel. She is a REAL beautician! She treated her hair and cared for it. She told me today, Allllllll of the people at school asked where she got her hair braided! They really helped with my baby’s confidence! Thank you ladies!!!!

My child didn’t even make it to the chair at this location. As we walked in I said “hey “ no response! I was in there for at least 5 minutes without a greeting how may we help you NOTHING before walking out . Very unprofessional. Even my daughter got a bad vibe and asked if we could leave .

The staff is friendly, warm, and cooperative. They greet me with happy faces all the time. I strongly recommend Simone to everyone. She’s an expert in hairdressing and knows the latest trends in the industry. Princes Hair Pizzazz is very neat and clean i loved the atmosphere . They give the highest importance to maintaining hygiene standards. The services are awesome definitely a 10/10.

Absolutely the worse!! I’ve been taking my now five year old daughter to Princess Hair Pizzazz for close to a year and half once every month and had never had an encounter how I did on Saturday March 2, 2024. I traveled over 40 minutes to get to appointment to be treated rudely, disrespected and be ignored by my hair stylist Dakayla (Kayla) Bobo. I arrived five minutes late and upon walking in there was no one to greet us at front desk so we sat down and was greeted and checked in by another stylist. After 20 minutes of watching my styles DaKayla walk from the front back, back to front casual making small talk around the salon, still not saying a hello, I’ll be right with you , give me a few more minutes nothing I walked up to her and casual ask if we would be getting started soon as at this point we had been waiting 20 minutes. DaKayla response was for me to sit back down as she rolls her eyes and told me rudely she would be right with us which I thought was extremely unprofessional and rude to tell a customer to sit back down then proceeded to say I can just cancel my appointment and get refund which was totally uncalled for especially when I’ve been to her several times and had never been talk to this way ask her if she was okay seem she was upset to ensure she was in right mind set to do my daughter hair she said you need to sit back down and she’ll be over in a minute so her rude, disrespectful unprofessional manner caused me to request my money back and leave with a half apology from the manger Ambriel Simone. Which made it worse bc the manager was sitting right there allowing her associate to act in that manner which is totally unacceptable. I will never return as the company has great concept but under poor management and the many of the stylist talk loud inappropriately and just are unprofessional I highly recommend you go somewhere else.

I WAS a loyal customer coming to the salon at least twice per month most months. Salon has proven to have inconsistent business practices. They could not and would not accommodate the most basic hairstyle which my daughter has gotten on NUMEROUS occasions under the exact same booking description. Suddenly today they shared that they couldn’t do the hairstyle. I came specifically for the style as we are headed out of town in the morning. The braider only did half of my daughter’s hair now I’m in a bind and have to waste my time finishing the style. Simple straight back at the top and box braids in the back. I will NOT be returning nor will I send anymore referrals (which I’ve sent sooooo many over the past year or so). I was also charged full price for half the work. Horrible business practice not accommodating a customer for something so small. On to the next! I’d recommend those looking to check out Just for Girls Salon in Smyrna and Atlanta.

My visit to the Cumberland location today was a hot mess. I booked medium knotless braids and apparently it was my fault the stylist was over booked. So not only did I have to leave with the style not finished, I also had to accept work that was obviously rushed. And then to top it off the other stylists attitudes’ in the salon were nasty and extremely unprofessional while they talked about the situation in front of me and my child like we couldn’t hear. Bottom line is every time I visit this salon they reach a new level of unprofessionalism and it’s baffling. However this is definitely my last time experiencing it and if you value your time and want work that’s not rushed, I would find another salon.

Great environment for children. My child is tender headed but not once did she complain about any pain. Also the stylist was kind to my daughter. My only issue is The stylist told me I would be charged if she had difficulty detangling my daughters hair. I watched the unnecessary detangling before shampooing and she had no issues getting through my child’s hair. She even made a comment that she was surprised how easy it was. So why did she still charge the fee then. Also I think the braids could have been neater for the amount of time it took for the simple hairstyle. I seen another stylist go through 2 girls by the time my daughter was done. I would still bring my daughter back to this salon though.

I went for the first time 8/1/23.. I had an appointment for my daughter for school.. all in all.. the experience was great! The price was great! I mean I spent 75 for a nice hair style..plus a free was and free beads and a free bow! Other places charge extra for stuff like that.. Kim was very nice to my daughter..she talked to her and even let her watch cartoons on her phone. I let her free style and she did am amazing job. Thank you Kim! My daughter loves her hair.

Absolutely love getting my daughter’s hair done here. She gets excited when her 8 week redone appointment is due. Friendly and courteous stylists who listen to my requests and get us out so fast. It’s also great that they shampoo and condition as part of the service. This our new place for sure. And the decor is just to pretty and so princessy. Great place.

Ehhh, my son liked his hair but I’m not sure they go by the actual booking site because when I went nobody introduced themselves, and they didn’t know what style my son was getting so essentially the stylist tried to double charge me in the end for something I already booked.

I had an amazing experience here. Today was me and my daughter’s first time here. I didn’t know who to book with so I chose the person I saw with the best reviews, and she didn’t disappoint. Deja was amazing! She was very patient with my daughter (who’s very tender headed), and her hair turned out GREAT! I will definitely be back.

The most unprofessional experience! This salon has NO BUSINESS ACUMEN. The so-called "manager" (I think her name is Simone?!) at the Cumberland location offered no apology or fix to accommodate my granddaughter, instead choosing to accommodate another client who made an error in their booking and booked the wrong service, and the service they needed would cause at least a 2 hour delay before they would be able to start braiding my 5 year old granddaughter's hair. The salon chose to accommodate the client who made the booking error despite the inconvenience it was causing me who booked correctly online, arrived on time, and paid a deposit for a 1pm appt. There was no available stylist to do my granddaughter's hair, and I had to go back and forth with the manager to get my deposit back, even it being the salon's fault for not being able to service my granddaughter in a reasonable timeframe. They were rude and didn't feel they were at fault--instead made me feel that I should just wait however long, and how dare I have an issue with them not honoring my appt. time, nor offering any form of optional resolve or an apology--NO APOLOGY, and they initially REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY DEPOSIT BACK. When the stylist I booked online for a 1pm appt. Raquel finally decided to walk over and offer an apology, the "manager" (Simone?) told her she did not owe me an apology. I requested to speak to the District Manager, they refused to give me the contact number and told me I would receive a call--I did not receive a call. As someone who gave my business to this salon MORE THAN ONCE, they have lost a customer. The customer experience should be just as essential as the styles they do--but I guess not. I also reached out to the owner, waiting for her to get back to me. But I hope she takes this review seriously and trains her staff on PROFESSIONALISM, honoring appointments, and TEACH THEM HOW TO COMMUNICATE AND HANDLE SITUATIONS PROFESSIONALLY when there may be a change or issue!!!!! A few days since I posted the above review... UPDATE: THE OWNER HAS NOT GOTTEN BACK TO ME! I guess unprofessional behavior is learned from the top!!

We absolutely loved Ms Jasmine. She was early and extremely nice. The price includes a wash and blow dry. My Daughter hates all things hair related. But Ms Jasmine worked her magic. She didn’t over blow dry and continued to check on Her during the process. She loves her hair. Will be back.

When I say Jasmine exceeded my expectations I mean just that!! This is our 1st time at a salon and she made this experience delightful for me and my 4 year old!! I told her she stuck with us!!! Best thing for Mom's who are hair challenged like myself or just to take a break!!! All the braiders I encountered where friendly and inviting!!!
