La propietaria es excelente como peluquera, cuando fui sin cita puso a darme el corte de pelo con la nuera que está aprendiendo y no tiene seguridad todavía. Favor no hacer eso.

We scheduled a 10:00 am appointment and upon arrival, the salon was closed. We waited 15 minutes and nobody came to open. There was no warning, request to reschedule, or even an apology despite having my contact information. HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE, do not waste your time.

I had my makeup done by Amy Hess for a professional headshot at SRQ headshots around the corner from Professional Beauty Bar. She did an outstanding job, was extremely personable and kind, and made me feel my most beautiful self. Thank you so much Amy, I will gladly return to have my makeup done by you in the future and highly recommend her

The keratin treatmeant that Janelle does is amazing! I have very coarse curly hair and it made my hair pin straight. I have used so many brands of keratin including keratin complex that every one raves about and after doing Janelle’s keratin I am never going back. My hair is smooth shiny and healthy looking. I am so blown away at how well the product works. All my kinky hair girls if you want straight hair go have Janelle do it!!!!! She also did my extensions. The bonding ones and I had a whole in my head and she fixed the whole it looks amazing. I will follow her anywhere. She does all types of hair and I’ve seen all kinds of clients in her salon and it’s hard to find a versatile hair stylist but I’m so glad I found one !!

I just had the Japanese scalp spa and it was AMAZING! Super relaxing and Janel worked magic on my hair and scalp. My hair is extremely soft, my scalp is clean, and I feel relaxed. I'll be booking it again soon.

Janel is AMAZING! My hair has never felt so healthy and soft especially after a full highlight. I love the color of my hair. Her products are the highest quality I’ve seen. Janel is so knowledgeable! I have had my hair cut by the best (Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon) - she has the purest products that actually make a difference. She recommended Mondo Verde for my blonde treated hair which is a combination of textures but much of it wiry, dry, curly - very tough to keep shiny, healthy and in order - the shampoo and finishing rinse are TOTAL game changers -They made my hair, feel clean, shiny, and restored. I can notice a difference, and not just on the first wash, but repeated washes, and I generally wash my hair every day. Very glad to have found her!

Awesome unpretentious salon with two of the best beauty professionals around. I had been coming here for a couple of years and then moved further away, so I started going to salons closer to home. I would rather make the drive. Janel is so passionate (maybe fanatical) about hair health and products and her suggestions have helped me get my fragile hair back in good condition. I’ve gone to Monica as well for color, highlights and cut. Her color application is meticulous. I’m trying to gradually lighten and brighten my dark hair without stripping it. She was very precise with weaving in highlights that are maybe a shade or two lighter. Exactly what I wanted. I love the cut and blowout as well. It’s definitely worth the drive:)

Janel……! I’m an extremely HONEST caring considerate human being who would never write a bad review on anyone unless it was deserved. We Specifically asked u if this specific color (light Pastel Pink) could b done in 1 setting & u said yes. I even expressed my surprise as we had been told by 2 other professionals that it would take a couple visits. U did NOT make my daughter or myself aware of bright then fading until after the appointment when we expressed concern, otherwise we would’ve waited until she returned from her show I NEVER once asked u 4 something 4 nothing. All I asked 4 was a response on how 2 fix the color b4 her Very Important convention (I can gladly resend/post text I sent u w/no reply if necessary) I Most Definitely spent close to $400 at ur salon & 100’s more fixing it. The fact that u would accuse me of being a bully shows ur true character. I’m in disbelief someone would treat their paying customers this way if they ask 4 help/advice. 😔 VERY Disappointed!!! Soooo upset with Professional Beauty Bar & Janel Took my daughter 4 a consultation w/Janel. She had long brown curly hair & provided a picture of the VERY Light, Modest, Pastel Pink hair color she wanted. She expressed 2 Janel that the 1 thing she definitely didn’t want was a bright or fluorescent pink. We asked Janel if the color n the picture was possible. She said yes & that it could all b done n 1 session. She also informed us that it may loosen up her curls some & would b a good idea 2 trim it up & cut long layers. We also informed her that my daughter had a VERY important/exciting performance 2 attend the following weekend & that she wanted 2 look beautiful 4 it. (I was like Wow! That’s Great & scheduled 4 a couple days later) The day of, once completed, the haircut looked adorable BUT, her hair color was DARK BRIGHT FLUORESCENT NEON Pink… 😱 I immediately discussed w/Janel my shock/disappointment in the dark color & many brassy tone sections. She assured us that it would fade off & that she would lighten the brassy parts again after the pink eventually came out. I paid her almost $400 with $50 tip (even though I felt uneasy not being totally satisfied) In the car, my daughter burst into tears crying hysterically over how upset she was w/the finished product 😢 I immediately went back in & quietly told her how upset my daughter was (I was being respectful as she now had someone else n her chair) She didn’t seem 2 concerned w/how distraught my daughter was (my daughter had been soooooo excited 4 weeks despite my hesitation BUT after the consultation w/Janel, I felt a little more confident n letting my daughter get this drastic change done 2 her beautiful hair so her tears totally Broke my Heart) Janel handed me some sort of gray color 2 put n her hair once we got home & said it would help. Well, it turned sections of her hair purple 😩 After a couple days & many shampoos - No luck, I began texting/calling Janel (very politely & patiently) asking 4 help 2 adjust & fix the problem b4 the Convention. NEVER heard back!!! 😡 After advice from 2 cosmetologist, we tried blue shampoo - it turned sections green. Now she is purple, neon pink, green, & brassy 😣 Now we use clarifying shampoo 2 get the color presentable enough 4 the “National Beta Club Convention in Nashville TN” She was EXTREMELY Embarrassed & had 2 wear her hair up & hidden 4 the entire once n a lifetime experience. So now after spending well over $550, my daughters hair is yellow & brassy orange bc the lightening process wasn’t done correctly 2 begin with & obvious lack of concern & no responses from Janel. All the while, I’m DESPERATELY calling/texting her trying 2 fix the problem. To this day, I still have NOT heard back from Janel. I don’t understand & I am very hurt as 2 y she did NOT have the decency 2 get back w/us. I don’t understand y someone would perform a service & not try 2 correct any issues that went wrong when they know the customer is Unhappy/Dissatisfied 🤷‍♀️ It’s just common courtesy to respond when someone is reaching out for your help 😠

Love love love Janel and her salon!!!! I love her products and helping my hair get more and more soft and long every time I go to her. Super recommend her to people who want good hair and great experience. I have done every color in the book and not once have I been disappointed she explains everything thoroughly and always makes sure we are happy! My daughter has even gotten some colors and it’s very clean and even. She even did my makeup for a wedding I had! Very much recommended!!! Love Professional Beauty Bar!!

MY HAIR HAS NEVER BEEN HEALTHIER! In the 4+ years that I’ve been coming to Janel’s salon, I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. She is be so knowledgeable and her products are amazing! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair and eyebrows. LOVE HER!!

Owner high lighted my hair, did a straightening treatment, cut, charged me 280. And hair came out brassy which I told her it was one thing I did not want, she said it was from straightening treatment. I went back and she said she put a toner on my hair and all high lights came out, I have photos to prove both ways. She will not fix my hair with charging me again for something I already paid for! Very unprofessional and I will never recommend her to anyone. Plus would not answer my calls. I will be taking her to small claims court. Plus I am letting bank know about this transaction. Pictures in court will prove what she has done.

Response to Janel on review from Teresa (hair coloring) June/July 2022 This is just sooo SAD Janel….. It is VERY apparent ur lack of respect towards ur trusting & paying clients the way u reply when someone is asking for ur help (looking through ur reviews apparently I’m not the only one) To so rudely attack someone’s character by accusing them of being a liar, scammer, bully, & so on is absolutely unbelievable, not to mention, unprofessional. As I previously mentioned, throughout my completely HONEST & FAIR review, there was NO misunderstanding on our part. I myself, asked for the initial consultation so we could be aware of our options & have answers to any ?’s b4 any procedure was performed. U ABSOLUTELY DID say YES that her hair would be the same color as in the reference picture my daughter showed u & that it would be completed in 1 session. OTHERWISE… we would’ve never done anything b4 her HUGELY IMPORTANT Production. There was NO discussion of “NEXT STEPS” until AFTER the procedure was done when surprise & disappointment were expressed. I’m at a total loss as to how in the world u can go back on ur word by trying to change everything u originally told us during the initial consultation. The TEARS & HEARTBREAK my daughter experienced that day will forever be a HORRIBLE memory of a day that was supposed to be a WONDERFUL, Fun, Exciting experience for her 😔 😢 If u had just been Respectful enough to answer my initial request for help, I’m sure a reasonable solution could have been accomplished & it would’ve saved a lot of disappointment, time, embarrassment, & money. And yes, we are not only closer to the desired color now, but due to ur lack of professionalism & response, we have since found someone who is extremely caring, corrected any mistakes, and now, my daughters hair is the beautiful light pastel pink color we were promised to begin with.
