Nina is THE MOST AMAZING WOMAN/ CURLY SPECIALIST HERE IN ORLANDO. It was my first time seeing her + first curly cut ever. LET ME TELL YOU: she was so attentive and explained everything with so much detail, patience and with the strongest intention of you understanding the whole process. Any questions you have she will explain it so you leave being a total expert on how your hair works!! She demonstrated and explained every single step done and let you know that once you become her client, she will have your back no matter what. You can message her to let you know any questions you have or if you want to buy the products that she uses in your hair, you can stop by to get it. Did I mention she explains step by step the products she uses and you can tell her what products you use at home and whether it’s a good match for your hair. I honestly loved her personality and how much of a girls girl she is. I literally felt like I had known her forever🧜‍♀️ such a fun and vibrant woman with a beautiful aura. At the end when my hair was completed, I was amazed how I looked exactly like the picture I showed her as my vision. She also gave me a gift box in which in one of our prior conversations, it was a tool she used on my hair. I thought that was the only thing I was getting. Come to open the box when I was at home and it was a gift box with the sweetest goodies of various things we used during my hair appointment. It was the SWEETEST surprise. Please see her. I found Nina because I was searching for a stylist who could provide my pre-teen daughter with a great cut. My daughter has a lot of thick curly hair and I knew we needed some guidance. We booked the curly cut initial visit and Nina took great care with my daughter. She asked questions to understand what our pain points and challenges were, how high or low maintenance we are in all honesty, and, once we settled on length and shape, she took special care to make sure my daughter learned how to take care of her hair. Nina covered everything from washing and conditioning to styling and how to protect her hair at night. She gave product recommendations with explanations and even sent my daughter home with renewed confidence and a cute gift bag. Now, years later, Nina continues to take good care of us. She still listens and coaches and has become a great advisor for my girl as she is now a teen who wants to experiment with her hair and is finding her own personal style. We always have a fun time laughing and chatting and my daughter always leaves with pride and a smile on her face.

Nina is so good with curly hair. I have been going to her for my haircuts for almost 7 years and she always does a great job. I just recently challenged her by asking for a mullet haircut and she did it perfectly. The haircut experience itself is very soothing, and she always has good tips for caring for your curls on your own.

In the year and half I’ve been with her not only has my hair gotten healthier and grown (a goal we set) but I have also seen my knowledge of taking care of my hair grow. Before I found Nina at her Pure Avidity salon it had been 6 years since I had a haircut. Nobody understood my curls and I had horrible experiences! Nina has taught me to love my natural curly hair! Nina is an amazing stylist. My curly hair is thriving in her hands. She is efficient with her time. She makes sure she has enough time to educate you on your hair type as she is cutting and styling your hair. She is so easy to talk to and her salon is warm and inviting. Outside of all her extremely talented skills, she is such a nice person. Her prices for a curly cut is fair and standard for her style of curly haircut. She really is the best in the city! The best salon I’ve ever been to. I waited a year for a spot and I’ve haven’t been to another hairstylist since. I recommend all my curly friends to Nina. She’s the best. I swear it’s like going to see a friend every three months. My hair always looks great and everyone compliments me on it. I love how Nina teaches you how to style your own hair. She recommends great products and doesn’t sell you on anything you don’t need. She’s supportive and helpful. You can send her an email and she’ll respond pretty quickly. Overall best salon experience ever. I fully trust Nina with my hair, giving her free range to do what she pleases and I’m never disappointed. 12/10 would recommend to anyone!

I was treated like a number. In February 2021, I had to reschedule my appointment a few days beforehand so I notified my stylist. She asked me to cancel the appointment online which I did. I emailed back to ask when I could come in because I needed my hair cut by a certain day and she said to check the system even for cancellations. So I did that. Then there were no openings, I asked for a couple tips because she could not style my own hair. No. I also asked if I could purchase products from her but no. There was not enough time for a pick up even with a few business days left in the week. It is over six months later and it really hurt my feelings. I tried so hard to be loyal and give this stylist by business and she turned me town even when I was not a new client. She could have left my products outside, or sent me a you tube video or even referred me to someone else. The replies I recieved were professional but very cold. The emails she sent me back would have taken longer than the requests I had asked for. I asked for reasonable accomidations but I wasn't even worth three minutes. So I did not go back, even if she does great work, because I was treated like a number.
