I came to Pure Hair as a recommendation from another stylist, who lives outside West Seattle. Told me the salon has a reputation for skilled colorists. I came to Genae for a color correction for my long, blond, highlighted hair. She listens carefully, works efficiently, and remains gracious, fun, and professional. I love my hair....she did everything I was hoping for!! She is now skillfully maintaining my color and cut, and I look forward to spending time in this welcoming, charming salon with a welcoming and charming staff.

Genae at Pure Hair Salon is wonderful. She has a kind and thoughtful disposition and incredible knowledge of hair. She listened to what I want and the color, foil, and cut turned out perfectly. I am so happy with the results. I highly recommend Genae!

I followed Genae from Ella and Oz where I first had a haircut. I had been trying to grow my hair out, but wasn’t happy with the results. Genae had great suggestions for a shorter cut. I was very happy with the results. She is so easy to communicate with and an all around pleasure to be around.

I had a great cut and color with Genae and am loving my hair! Genae skillfully adjusted my color and gave me a great cut and beautifully blended in my awkward bangs I’ve been trying to grow out. She is very sweet, communicates really well, and put me at complete ease. I would highly recommend her!

I followed Mikhael from another Salon to Pure Hair. She is a fabulous stylist and I would trust her with my curly hair any day. She has cut it from very long to very short and guided me back again. She is an incredible person and shares her gift and passion each time I come. She and Pure Hair have also done a GREAT job with pandemic protocols. thank you!!

I get hair cuts and Brazilian blowouts from Mikhael Twyman at Pure Hair. She has been doing my hair for 2 years and she has literally changed my relationship with my hair. I feel more confident and professional as a result of her services. She has really helped me to feel better and more special in my hair and body overall. And she’s just a wonderful person.

I love Melissa. She's been my hair stylist for more than 10 years. And even though I live in Edmonds now AND the West Seattle bridge is OUT, I STILL go see her for haircuts and color. I've loved my hair every since I started seeing her. No one else compares.

I received a horrible hair cut and color from Kayla. This happened on July 21st. My hair is damaged and has broken off in many places and all over my head I have frizzy broken off hair. My hair looks and feels like straw. The color is orange brassy yellow with big spots of dark orange color in the back of my head. The cut she gave me is uneven not blended and the back has random chunks cut out of the length. When I asked Kayla for a refund of my $250. She told me the salon policy is no refunds and 2 weeks for redos and it's been over two weeks. But in actuality it had not been 2 weeks. Reluctantly I allowed her to try to fix my hair. Kayla gave me a conditioning treatment and a semi color and she tried to fix the cut. The cut was still awful but the color looked much better for about 5 days before the yellow brassy color reared its ugly head again. The pictures I took show it all. I wish this review would allow pics. I left a message for the owner to call me but I didn't get a response.

Loved it! I got a full foil and cut with Melissa. She did an amazing job with my hair, and is clearly very skilled. She was patient with the cut and foils, ensuring the color processed well, and ensuring the layering and framing in the cut was ideal. She was also a delight to talk too and helped me find some local activities that would be great for someone new to the area (like me) to meet other locals. I highly recommend them!

Pure Hair is much more than a place to get a haircut -- it is a place to relax, unwind, engage in good conversation and be taken care of for an hour or so. That you walk out of there looking incredible is the big bonus. I have a thick head of hair with a cowlick that has resulted in some awful haircuts over the years. With Melissa's shears and magic, I look more stylish and in fashion at 47 than I did at half my age. I also swear by the Kevin Murphy Night Rider hair product line she sells -- it has no odor, holds great and never looks greasy. To top it off, Melissa's shampoos just might be the most relaxing part of my month.

I would highly recommend Keri Knauff at Pure Hair. I have the benefit of a very experienced hair stylist who is able to handle my fine thin hair to my satisfaction. She has a great personality and treats her clients with dignity and respect.
