Service was good and facility was clean. Would be more stars if there wasn't a customer's unleashed dog walking around the space. Some people have a fear of dogs no matter how many times the owner tells you it's a nice dog.

This salon has gone down dramatically in my view. They used to be located near the Food for Less in Hazard Center before the pandemic, in a nice space with a front reception, lots of stations, wine and flavored water for customers, and a variety of services including massages. I think their business model has changed now to cut costs, which is understandable. They moved to a new location in an older building in Mission Valley. They no longer have a reception team so you have to book appointments with each independent stylist, who sometimes get back to you quickly, but sometimes cancel at the last minute. It’s hit or miss these days. I think if you find a good fit with a particular stylist it can still be a good option, but I am looking for a new salon that has a better customer experience.

Great spacious studio, beautifully remodeled. Construction near door little bit annoying and makes difficult to get to the place but other than that great location and easy access. Parking on the street. Noelia did amazing job, she fit me in for last minute cancellation. Highly recommended!

Beware if you are a stylist looking to rent a suite in here. Vanessa, the leasing agent, is unprofessional in her communication as well as how she operates when multiple potential renters are interested in a suite. I toured a suite, stated that I wanted to move forward with renting the space. She did not have the paperwork with her so I let her know I’m ready to put down my deposit and do the paperwork. We booked another time for this. Vanessa stated that she wouldn’t show the unit to anyone else but she did the complete opposite and offered the other stylist priority despite them seeing the unit after me on a different day. Very unprofessional. I have rented a suite before so I am very much aware of the basic processes that occur with any salon suite business. This has seriously raised my concerns about if it was a racial issue.

I was able to get an appointment last minute and Remy did a great job. I told her what I wanted and she cut my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it and she was really kind too. I never really like ym haircuts but I'm very happy with this one.

I called and was able to schedule a haircut the same day! I got a trim with Michelle and she is the biggest sweetheart ever! I told her I just wanted a trim and “to cut the least amount of hair possible” which she decided to give me a dry cut (I’ve never had one before) so I was completely impressed!! I loved it!!! Michelle did an amazing job!

Somewhat uneven experience, great stylist and did a beautiful haircut but came in for a color and she didn't have enough product to do the color I wanted and couldn't schedule me in any time soon had to be redirected to another stylist which was kind of a drag but she was still sweet and like I said good haircut but I came in for a COLOR she didn't have time to do it nor the product.... even with doing a different color combo and that was totally so disappointing. I know I have a ton of hair but you'd think a salon of that quality would have an ample amount of supplies in stock... lesson learned though. 😔💔

I recently had a really bad experience at a hair salon in OB that resulted in me having a very vivid color of hair which was not even close to what I wanted and them charging me well over $500 after they attempted to fix their misinterpreion as they called it! I was in desperate need of a color correction and had contacted a salon in the 92127 zip code who had me email them pictures of my hair then actually chuckled on the phone as they turned me away saying they were too busy and didn't want to take the time to even attempt to do anything for me. Then I came across Pure Salon online and thought I would give it one last try. I was able to get a same day in person consultation and an appointment with Remy the very next day!!! She was upfront and honest and explained the process to me and told me the chances of my hair reacting to the products. She worked miracles and was able to almost correct the color completely in 1 session! I am so grateful and appreciative of Remy and the Pure Salon! I will continue to go to them for all my hair services and recommend them to all who will listen!

Great haircut, fabulous color. Grace (at Grace and Style, located in Pure Salon) is a wizard with scissors and a magician with color. She is a skilled professional and also very personable. High end price but the salon is nowhere near the high end experience. I have been coming here many times. Over time, I noticed many changes here. First, I come on time to my appointments, and lately I had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. Once or twice is ok, but I don't have all day to wait. Second, they overcharge for haircuts, and the cost isn't consistent with the quality. They first put me with a stylist who barely had any experience, and charged me $65.00. I wasn't happy with how well it turned out, and changed the hairstylist, who has over 10 years experience, but charges the same price. It's not reasonable to charge so much for someone who has little to no experience, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of in that sense. Entry level staff should charge anywhere between $20-$35. And someone more experienced can charge more. Third, every time I call to make an appointment, they tell me I'm "not in the system", even though every single time I give them my number and spell my name. It seems like they only want to keep someone in the system if he/she brings them revenue every 4 weeks. I told them I can't come every 5 weeks to get a haircut because I don't have time. And now, I found out that the haircut cost was increased by $5. And I give a $20 tip every visit. When I show them how much length I want to be removed, they try their best to remove the minimal amount of length so that I can come back sooner. I mean, really? Just cut to the length I am asking you to, instead of taking a little bit off, as a way to control how often I come. Finally, during my haircut, random people come and sell junk to stylists. Then my service is interrupted and the stylist spends time chatting with the solicitor. The owner should not allow this unprofessionalism. If I am paying $70 an hour AND $20 tip on top of that --- this is my hour, and I expect that you'll spend that time on me, not chatting with someone else. I hope this place turns better, but otherwise I am moving on. Again, if you set your prices high - then you must provide the high quality customer experience.

The stylist I originally booked my appointment with recommended that I reschedule with someone else after she talked with me a little. She said that what I wanted was outside of her expertise and that another person would make it the best cut possible. I really appreciated that she passed me on to someone better suited to the project, and I loved Briana, who was the person I rescheduled with. She was fun to talk to and I absolutely love the cut she gave me. I wasn't at all sure what I wanted and this haircut is just so me. Your hair is a very important piece of your identity, and I felt confident in her ability the whole time she was working. She found several times to ask for my opinion and helped me make the decision that looked best. And at the end, she offered but didn't push hair products. I often feel very pressured to buy the products when I get my hair cut, but here I felt like they were comfortably available rather than in my face. I will definitely be going back to Pure for my next trim.

Called to see if they accepted walk ins. They did, really nice and polite employees from the person picking up the phone to the person received me. I got an up do for an event, liked how it was quick. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars, the updo wasn’t the best. The back was good but the front felt like it needed volume and in pictures looked like I just had my hair up or in a bun

I'm not satisfied with my haircut. I really wanted my hair cut in short layers. The person who cut my hair gave me a bob. I don't like bob hairstyles and I don't see much layering in my haircut other than where it's supposed to "frame" my face. The framing itself is not well defined--I would have wanted more layering along my face. Also my hair looks uneven at the bottom. I didn't like how my haircut turned out and I just wanted to get out of there. Luckily my hair grows out fast so I'll try short layers soon but at a different salon. I'm not impressed with this $70 haircut.

My haircut from Jessica was awesome as always! She's really good at what she does and very professional. The salon is really nice too. I've gotten color from Jessica and styled so I'd highly recommend her for that too. But now I just come in for regular cuts.
