"… still. You can see in the photo below. It doesn’t make sense. They have cheap conditioner but dyson dryers all around. They had a really nice area with face/body lotion …"

"Even better - for the price, you should hire waitstaff to service the pool area."

"The Bisto only offer a very small selection of PREMADE sandwiches and salads."

The spa itself is nice. No really hot sauna but a nice experience. The bistro is kind of a joke. Only offers an overpriced buffet (38 /48 per person) with limited selection and ok'ish qualify

Magical and relaxing experience with fantastic views of NYC skyline. Thumbs up to TJ, host in the lavander/foot massage room! He went out of his way to invite us to discover the Seaweed relaxation room.

The front desk lady was really unprofessional, disrespectful and was not willing to help at all about a lost item that couldn’t be found at the spa. It’s just frustrating that a big establishment hire people with poor customer service. I had to talk to her supervisor who made the situation easier to understand.

My girls and I visited this spa for one of our birthdays. So beautiful & smells amazing. Let’s of rooms with unique vibes. Quite a few water stations and a few stations with small snacks which was nice. There’s a room with about 6 water beds that you’ll never wanna leave. There’s a complimentary foot ritual & face mask ritual included, however, you’ll be doing it yourself lol if you know you know. Food & beverage could use a major upgrade :( the drinks were blah. I’d stick to the Prosecco next time. The buffet style food was very dry looking & the options were limited for $48 PP. the birthday girl was super upset about food options & appearance / quality of food as she was starving. The decor in each room was different and so pretty. Each room has its own vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed the jet room or whatever they call it. The sounds of the water falling and the feeling of it beating on your body from head to toe, amazing. There are several buildings that are connected so it’s very confusing to find what you’re looking my for. It’s like a maze in there. I believe they need more workers on the floors to forest people or better signs. Kadeem was very helpful in directing us and he even walked us to one of the locations we wanted to go to. He provided great service while most other workers just pointed in a direction or said “go upstairs” just for you to get upstairs and someone else tell you to take the elevator back down. So that was annoying and a waste of time. But let me get to the point. I came here for the outdoor thermal pool and baby it did NOT disappoint. When you step into that pool, you forget that you’re literally outside in NYC winter weather. The temperature in the pool is Perfect. I could’ve stayed there forever. It was clean and not crowded which I can certainly appreciate. & the views of the NYC skyline was just the added touch it needed. If the thermal pools were all they offered, it would be enough. I Would most certainly return here and would recommend it to others.

Nice, but pricey.

That’s a city wonderland! Living in this city for 40 years and just discovered this amazing gem. Will go back again soon to enjoy this wonderful unique experience. Highly recommended

We came here during week and it was not crowded at all when we arrived in the afternoon. The spa is quite spacious and the luxurious decor along with various curated scents are aimed to promote complete relaxation. There are water stations all over so you can keep hydrated. We tried out the lavender foot massage and seaweed eye mask. All of the staff were very polite and professional, TJ who did the footmask and eyemask was great. The various saunas were nice but all around the same temperature 150's, I prefer having a super hot sauna as an option. The heated pool outside has incredible views of lower Manhattan and the water. There are also heated tents to hang out in but it was entirely too cold. My only real complaint with this place was the subpar food at the buffet. We ended up choosing the hot/ cold option which costs $50 pp before tax and tip. I've never seen such a mediocre and limited selection of food at a buffet. There were basically no meat options except for the ham slices on the cold part. The hot food was lukewarm and mostly flavorless. The bread was very hard but did not taste stale. The best option was the salad, they had some great Italian olive oil. Even the desserts were disappointing. The quality of the food was just bad especially given how nice everything else was. Besides the terrible food at the buffet, we really enjoyed being at the spa. It was very relaxing and a great way to spend the day.

Will talk about it later overall amazing but can improve visitor experience

Amazing experience, very relaxing. Kind and friendly service!

Jan 22, 2025

Awful Experience 7 of us were stuck in their elevator for over 30 minutes. Emergency button went to an unanswered voicemail. There was no certificate of inspection inside the elevator nor a notice to see inspection record at desk. We had to slide out between floors onto an a frame ladder in sandals. Completely defeats the point of having a relaxing day. Their method of customer care was to offer a $50 voucher for future use. As if I would go back and be stuck in their elevators again. Bad experience, but it was handled worse in customer care

Jan 22, 2025

Confusing layout. No sodium/salt room. Turned off my jets for n the bath after only a.few minutes. Lockers were confusing and nothing was explained.

Jan 22, 2025

Did not know what to expect when we booked. To my surprise, this facility is 3 buildings in a "U" configuration surrounding a heated massage pool that had views of the city (absolutely beautiful at night). In addition, we did not rebook any services and still spent the entire 3 hour slot exploring and enjoying all the facilities had to offer: traditional sauna, steam room, salt room, ice toom, rain showers with LED, waterfall shower, feet treatment room, relaxation rooms, a room with waterless with asmr videos on the ceiling. I am sure there was so much more to offer that I missed, so I will be sure to revisit when I come back to NY. To top it off... it was very affordable with a top-notch staff, clean and new amenities and facility.

Jan 22, 2025

Great time and amenities are refreshing. Wouldn’t recommend the massages though, they are very expensive and our 30 minute massage ran short

Jan 22, 2025

I can’t believe this place has under 4 stars. Been there 3x now and every time I go I’m planning my next trip back and don’t want to leave. The staff is super friendly, the facilities are clean, even in popular weekends it never felt too overcrowded for me. Biggest downside is price of food, I guess drinks too, but I guess it’s standard Manhattan prices. I went prior to the opening of the cold area.

Jan 22, 2025

I had a great time with my bestie at QC Spa. The saunas, steam rooms, pools, and other amenities were very clean and functional. We went on a Monday so it didn't get busy until around 3pm and then got less busy again later on. Something I really didn't like was that you cannot leave the premises… we purchased an all day pass and had a wristband so I think it's weird that you can't leave and come back. This left us forced to eat the food there since we could not leave. The food was mediocre and the way they price it is very odd. Buffet style "hot and cold" or "cold and cold" are your options. You can only pick from 3 of 4 of the "hot" and cannot go back for more. The "cold" is just random breads, deli meat, salad bar and then there are some sweets. They don't tell you beforehand what is available for these options and when we asked if we could take a look before choosing an option we were stared at as if we have 5 heads…idk where you go that you just agree to something without any knowledge of what you're getting. Anyway, it was WAY overpriced & the food really wasn't great. The layout of how to get around through both buildings could be better too, we were confused on how to get around, but luckily the staff were incredibly helpful and kind! Staff was also coming around w apple slices with cinnamon and honey which was cute. Overall we had a nice relaxing time, I would go back but not for the all day pass since you cannot leave and come back.

Jan 22, 2025

Overall spa offerings are good. I liked the saunas and steam rooms. Also liked the water bed room and the various scrubs / masks set out. The relaxation rooms are nothing special and can feel a little repetitive. The buffet offering is not worth the price. The food is fine but I would schedule a meal before or after here in the future.

Jan 22, 2025

Very busy, and expensive

Jan 22, 2025

Was there on Tuesday and it was all ok until my entire group got stuck on the elevator in the new building and nobody knew what to do. Pressed the emergency button and went to someone’s voicemail, from the other side they kept saying they were there but had no idea what to do (they were literally telling each other “we can’t open the door”), how reassuring for us that were stuck in. We were literally running out of oxygen until they finally made it (almost 40 minutes later) and all of us were shaken and traumatized from the experience. And what’s worst is that the two managers besides apologizing they offered a $50 voucher to go back. That is just unacceptable! Would definitely not go back for how poorly they took care of us and unfortunately will not suggest or recommend to anybody else!

Best Spa in the City! Great for summer or winter!! Views are incredible and be sure to dive underwater in the classical music pool:)

Jan 15, 2025

Great way to spend and afternoon

Jan 15, 2025

Huge spa with many types of saunas. Nice pool with Manhattan view and outdoor area . I wish there was a hot tub and cold plunge though. There were too many resting rooms (kind of a waste of space) and the food options weren’t great. Overall a good experience but not the best spa I’ve been.

Jan 15, 2025

I had a terrible experience at this spa. On the coldest day of the year, the water was freezing, and there was no heating in the facility, leaving my group shivering the entire time. The bathrobe they provided was thin and damp, and they refused to give us new ones. On top of that, they only give you two stingy towels at the start, and there are no extra towels available throughout the facility. This means you have to lug around wet towels the entire time, which is ridiculous. The layout was a complete disaster—once you opened a door or entered a room, it was nearly impossible to find it again, and we kept going in circles. For the high price they charge, it’s absurd that they don’t include complimentary access to the spa facilities with a massage, like most spas of this kind do. I can’t believe I paid so much for such a pathetic experience. When I asked for a refund, they offered a complimentary trip instead. I have no intention of ever returning and will make sure no one I know visits either. I don’t need a free trip; I need my money back. Their refusal to resolve the issue is beyond frustrating. Save your money—this place is not worth the price or the headache.

I purchased a trip to QC NY Spa for my wife’s birthday attending on the 2nd January. I had also purchased two massages for the both of us. Upon arrival the facilities and views were great and as advertised. We spent some time in the outdoor pools with great views of Manhattan. We then went upstairs to wait for our massages. This is where things started to go wrong. I was taken in for my massage but unbeknownst to me my wife’s masseuse did not turn up. Now these things happen and we appreciate that but no one in the facility seemed to know this. As a result we were not given the opportunity for me to swap so that my wife could get the massage I had bought for her birthday. Again these things can happen but the staff were completely unprepared for this and we were treated with contempt from that point on. At every turn the staff were attempting to palm us off and did not seem willing or able to accept our frustration and disappointment. Every person we encountered basically said they were not empowered enough to handle our complaint but at no time were we given an opportunity to speak with management despite multiple requests. Eventually we were refunded the massage and the tip that I had pre-paid but I had to spend a lot of time debating this with the staff. Main note, do not pre-pay a tip. Wait till after your experience. I was also eventually palmed off with the promise that consideration would be given for further compensation once management were consulted. 4 days later I received an email saying this had been denied by the management which was no surprise following our treatment in person. QCNY is undoubtedly a luxury location and if all goes well I have no doubt it would have been a good trip but our treatment by what was clearly an unprepared team of staff not equipped for things going wrong was unacceptable and we will not be returning. For a company advertising wellness it appears the management and staff do not value that in their customers experience.

QC Spa on Governors Island is one of the best spas in New York—this was my third visit, and I’ve always loved the facilities and relaxing atmosphere. However, I have to give only one star this time because of serious issues with the Bistro. The food experience is disappointing: The hot food, like the gnocchi and lasagna, was served cold—completely unacceptable at this price point. The Belgian waffles were a disaster—overly sweet and felt like I was eating pure sugar. The limited drink options are frustrating. No tea available, only espresso. What if I don’t drink espresso? With a sweet table full of desserts, how do you expect guests to enjoy them without a proper beverage selection? For a spa of this caliber, the Bistro experience should match the luxury and quality of the rest of the services. Please address these issues—better food, proper serving temperatures, and a more thoughtful menu would make QC Spa truly exceptional. QC Spa deserves to be perfect, and this improvement would make it so! QC Spa deserves to be perfect, and this improvement would make it so!

Terrible place. It's so dirty. Staff is so mean and not helpful. Not a place for relaxation it's more stress.

Jan 15, 2025

ive beem coming to QC spa since they opened in March 2022. Although i love the venue itself and beautiful view of the skyline, i was rather disappointed by a few things during my recent visit… First of all, the staff at the front desk needs to be trained on providing better customer service. People come to spas to relax and so I was disapppointed when i was met with a frown.. She did not greet me with a smile and she looked miserable to be working there! Secondly, They used to have a la carte menu where you were free to choose specific items for a more “reasonable” price. Now they basically force you to pay $50+ tax and tip for a buffe. Not everyone can eat that much so I find that concept ridiculous. Definitely a ripoff in my opinion. Lastly, for the price you pay they really should rethink the limited towel situation. Especially when its super cold outside and after getting wet in the pool, you have to walk around in a wet robe and they will charge you $4 for extra towels! Other spas just provide u with dry towels without restriction. Also, their flip flops are the cheap plastic kinda which give some people blisters… I would recommend bringing your own sandals!
