Qua Spa is the only pampering spot in SF I return to again and again. The quality of the service, products, tools, and booking process is above and beyond. Highly recommend! Joey especially has gone out of her way to accommodate my schedule, give thoughtful recommendations to improve my overall health, and give my baby-like skin. The entire staff is also a blast to chat with. After only 3 sessions of the hydro microdermabrasion I finally saw a reduction in my pore size, something no other esthetician has ever accomplished (after going to the spa religiously for a decade). I purchased a bundle and always look forward to my spa time with Joey. Thank you Qua!

I have tried so many different facial treatments at various price points in San Francisco over the few decades I’ve lived here and Qua Spa is one that actually makes a visible difference. Joey is an amazing esthetician with thorough understanding of what my skin needs. She always assesses the condition of my skin and tailors the facial to that. The before and after always leave me astounded and coming back here. If you’re searching for a facial spa that cares, I’d highly recommend booking a session with Joey.

I loved my experience at Qua Spa in South of Market, San Francisco! The atmosphere is relaxing and serene, making it the perfect place to unwind. I've been seeing Joey for massages for the past two years, and she consistently delivers exceptional service. I’ve had many facials in the past with little to no noticeable improvement, but my experience with Joey has been a total game changer! After just one session, I’ve seen a drastic improvement in my skin. It feels smoother, clearer, and healthier than ever before. Joey is truly the best—so knowledgeable about skin care and takes the time to explain what she's doing and why. Her recommendations are always spot on, and you can tell she genuinely cares about your skin's progress. On top of that, the entire experience is incredibly relaxing. I always leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. If you're looking for real results and a facial expert who knows what they’re doing, I highly recommend Joey. I can’t wait for my next appointment! 3rd Update 🌟 Joey was absolutely above and beyond, I realized she is an expert on facial massage, and she has been doing it for 30 years! which I haven't done before since I don't trust anyone with my face. She was very vocal of each step and explained every step, devices, and products she used. I will definitely come back, and not only that, I'll recommend her to my friends and business partners. I will promote her SPA on my social platforms and social media as well. It is also important to mention how everything was clean and maintained very well! 非常感謝 再見 2nd Update Correction: Joey introduced herself as an SPA director, reached out to me, and offered a facial treatment in order to compensate for the first experience. I do appreciate how quickly she responded and how honest she was. 1st review. I mentioned several times that I wanted a softer massage due to my back pain before even starting. The lady that did my massage ignored that and said it was supposed to hurt, in a tone like I never had a massage before. I complained several times during the session as well. Now, I am experiencing even worse back pain. Avoid this place, in my opinion.

Great experience, the service is of high quality. The front desk receptionist is super friendly and considerate and so are the massage and facial therapists. Overall great service, offers Water and sweets, smells very nice and clean area. Definitely recommend and coming again!

I would recommend Qua The Spa at Soma Grand...These ladies were kind to me and my siblings.They made us feel comfortable and most importantly the service was awesome..I left feeling rejuvenated and refresh.

Really good signature massage. I was surprised by the foot scrub but I wish it was more thorough. Really nice touch with the heated bed. Jessie applied the right amount of pressure without the need to be corrected. The massage was calming without being painful at any point. I thoroughly enjoyed it and came out properly relaxed. Though I believe I'm gonna need more than 1 90-minute session to take out all my knots

The massage itself was actually very good but I was charged THREE times for the same service (due to issues with their payment machine). One was refunded but the other additional charge was not (despite the owner assuring me that the additional payment would not be taken). I tried contacting by email and phone to resolve the issue but have been ignored. As a foreign tourist, I can’t go back and resolve this issue in person. Shame given the service itself was good but can’t give a good rating when they double charge you to the tune of $260.

This Spa, though hidden in the SOMA area, is a relaxing gem of a place. The therapists are all kind and compassionate, timely, and experienced. Tables are classical Asian style with no face cradle. It's built into the table. Therapists use hot towels in numerous ways, which gives a luxury to the overall experience. The Owner is a genius with technology and is an overall great human being. If people judged establishments on the character of the owners, it's likely this place would be number one on everyone's bucket list.

Not usually one to leave reviews, however I read reviews for this spa and thought it seemed ok. Unfortunately my massage was not enjoyable, I asked for a firm pressure which was nothing more than soft. Lots of unexplained pauses or leaving the room, which I found very unprofessional. My facial was ok, but unsure of the cleanliness of products and workspace. Overall the salon was also quiet unkept. Unfortunately being Australian the price I paid was quite expensive for something I did not enjoy..

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. David zeroed in on my pain and worked magic. He’s an incredibly intuitive therapist. I felt great after walking out, but it was really the next day that I realized how much different my body felt. Thank u so much!

Both the facial and 90 minute massage were top notch. Upon arrival we filled in a brief questionnaire to highlight any allergies or issues we might be having. Afterwards we were greeted by two friendly therapists who then worked on my problem areas. I left feeling refreshed, relax, and invigorated. I would highly recommend.

I had a good foot reflexology at Qua. Felt very nice and relaxing. My friend had Deep Tissue Massage and she loved it. Since her birthday was tomorrow, they asked her to choose aroma fragrance massage oil as a freebie which is very nice of the staff. Both of us had a very good time. If time allows, I would love to visit again for Deep Tissue Massage along with my best friend.

Tracy is amazing like always! She is very sweet and just an overall 10 star experience. I initially came here because my go to spa closed down due to the pandemic and this was noted as their sister location on their website. I'm glad to haven chosen Qua for my routine Services now. Definitely more conveniently located by the freeway. I Love how clean and simple this spa is too Which is a must because of the OCD in me 😝
