Awful. I first went to the salon at 123 6th street 6 weeks prior where Fanta, a fabulous hair dresser did box braids and put beefs on the ends. Four hours $120 plus a $10 tip. I was excited to have such a friendly and professional place to go and have my hair braided. But this time around, I was given an appointment for 2:30pm. I showed up. It wasn’t Fanta. It was Queen Sarah, who had double booked the spot. She said she thought it was 3pm. I went back at 3 pm. She told me to go back the next day at 10. She didn’t want do box braids. She said she could do something cute. She did corn rows and didn’t put rubber bands on the ends to lick the braids. When Fanta did the braids. I received 5 compliments on my way home. I received compliments for the next 5 weeks, until I cut the ends of the braids and took them out. Nobody complimented the braids Sarah did. They were ugly and ghetto. It took her an hour to do and they came unraveled in 8 days. That was a waste of money. When Fanta did my braids, she was friendly, played African beats on the flat screen, and full of conversation. Sarah did not turn on the flat screen. She had nothing to say except, Where’s my money?! Her homegirl was even more outrageous by suggesting she would give me a discount to fix the braids. Oh! You mean I have to pay you more money to maybe get it right this time. I think they’re on drugs. I’ll never go back.

She’s very talented great braider makes you feel at home I got 2 cornrows she finished in like half an hour and they came out perfect! I definitely recommend her and I definitely will be back!

It's easy to find a hair braider in Los Angeles. It's easy to set an appointment. It's easy to sit for 6 hours or more. It's easy to spend $200 or more. What is NOT easy to do is find THE BEST, FASTEST, MOST AFFORDABLE, BRILLIANT, ACCOMODATING, SWEET, POLITE, EAGER TO PLEASE, HUMBLE, COOL OLE MAN HAVIN, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, SKILLED, AND WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE TO GIVE ADVANTAGE HAIR BRAIDER QUEEN SARAH. One visit with her and my wife Dionne can't stop looking in mirrors and window reflections with a grin and a "Wow!" Thank you Queen Sarah...Thank you, thank you, thank you!
