Long overdue review but so glad I found Rare! Moving from the humid east coast to the dry west did a number on my curls. I got a scalp treatment and trim earlier this year and my hair has been THRIVING ever since! Rare's salon truly is a sanctuary and she knows what's she's talking about. I can go on, but 10/10 recommend Rare Naturals Hair Sanctuary!!

I booked an appointment for a consultation that was confirmed via email. I arrived to the salon on the day and time of my appointment and the door was locked. I had to give my card number to schedule this appointment which also is freaking me out. I sent a text and tried to call the stylist Rare (who my appointment was with), no response and my call was sent to voicemail after two rings. Totally unprofessionally! A courtesy text or call cancelling the appointment would have been appreciated. Especially since your no show policy states there’s a fee. What happens when the stylist does not show up? Horrible! Be ware of this place!

Awesome place to get your hair done. Nice, friendly and professional beauticians. I've been to other shops and I have had to wait forever although I have an appointment. I left those shops feeling unappreciated and not very happy. You never get that feeling at Rare Naturals, they are on time and respect your time as well as theirs. Women look forward to being pampered and getting their hair done and relaxing. That concept is not lost at this salon. If you have a moment, look at their site and make an appointment, you won't regret it.

I am one of them!! Everything about Rare Naturals Hair Sanctuary is done with care for each client as well as the community and the environment. Client: I received knowledgeable hair care education that was caring, patient and flexible. I experienced timely service with kind and attentive conversation and real hair/scalp support. I was carefully assisted with questions and tangible suggestions for future maintenance. No overbooking, no taking of other calls during my appointment, no eating, no nonsense. Community: This sanctuary is boldly separating from the "norm" in the industry by focusing on QUALITY of service, not quantity of clients. No gossiping or fostering negative community. All conversations are uplifting and time and respect are honored. Hair is hair, no status changes the quality of service. Men 💪🏾 and women are welcome and no one is stigmatized. Environment: This is a 💯% Green Space! The furniture is eco-friendly with pea-based (plant🌱) paints!! No toxic chemicals are used, whether in hair products or tools. Each client's health is maintained. The air quality is CLEAN because a medical-grade air purifier is used in conjunction with dead sea minerals and essential oils, AND the owner has a Clean-Air Act sponsored by doTERRA. Everything possible is recycled. Even the left over hair from trims is recycled to make mats that soak up oil spills in the ocean!! 🌊🐟 Water reduction is a prime focus and is maintained with termiline filters that filter out impurities. A large fan with natural cross-breeze is used largely instead of air conditioning to reduce energy consumption. As a business owner, I HIGHLY appreciate the level of integrity, honesty, intelligence, logic, critical thinking, natural care and proficiency that is executed in this space. All of these facets are extremely important to me, because my hair is not a fashion statement, but part of my life and overall health. The level of responsibility to our environment is just spectacular, and means a great deal to me and supports the community at large daily. Everything was done with wisdom and forethought, and I was graciously and meticulously cared for the entire time. I was even offered a place to put my feet up and relax, which is exactly what I needed after a busy week. Rare naturals is such a beautiful hidden gem! As soon as you walk in you it's so relaxing and cozy. Rare revived my hair. Her name is so fitting. Every product used smelled so good and felt phenomenal. I'm so happy I found it.

This place is Amazing! Rare is amazing! I booked them for my wedding and I couldn't have made a better choice. You can tell that each lady truly cares about natural hair and the work that they do. I will definitely be booking with them again whenever I visit Vegas. Thank you so much, Rare!

Okay, I’m a white woman with a biracial daughter who has beautiful, multi-textured hair, and I was having difficulty caring for it. She was frustrated as well because she wanted to be able to care for it by herself (she’s 12). Let me tell you, Tashia and Rare educated us during our appointment. The atmosphere was spa-like and very pleasant (soothing smells and music) and these professionals made us feel welcome. The ladies shared their knowledge and gave us product suggestions and tips to maintain her hair. I swear, I was taking notes! In addition to the care they showed my daughter’s hair, they truly shared part of their day and many laughs with us. During the appointment, my daughter said, “this is probably one of the best days of my life,” in joy and relief that we had found a friendly, fun, knowledgeable resource for all of our questions. Thank you, Tashia, for the wonderful haircut! We will be back!

Rare Naturals is an exquisite hair salon! I went there for a loc retwist and Rare really worked magic on my hair all while using natural and green products. She has such a positive and uplifting nature and spoke love and life into my hair and I felt so accepted throughout the entire process. Her salon is toxin-free and eco-friendly even down to the paint on the walls! There is also a high-quality air filter/purifier in the salon and masks are required the entire time you're in the salon. There have never been more than 4 people in the salon each time I've been in and she sanitizes/disinfects the space in between each guest so it's clear that she does her best to keep her clients and employees as healthy and safe as possible. I loved my experience there so much, I decided to book an appointment for my 3-year-old. I had no idea how she would do since it was her first hair appointment but Rare really know how to make kids comfortable and my little one had an amazing time. We'll definitely be going back again! <3

Rare and her colleagues are very professional and excellent at their jobs. I've been a customer for several years. Color is very tricky and my particular shade of blonde isn't easy to achieve. Rare has maintained it for years. My hair is healthy and shiny. Any ethnicity any hair type--the salon is the best.

Rare was recommended by someone I know. My stylist over processed my hair and it was breaking off and I was left with so little hair density. I went to another salon and they recommended a big chop. I went to Rare for a second opinion. She advised me to have 2 inches cut off and do treatments (6 in 90 days) . I just got my second treatment done. My curls are popping and my hair is looking thicker and healthier already. So glad I met Rare.

When i left the salon i was amazed at how my hair felt after a silk press by Tashia. The products they use to the combs and shampoo are amazing! My new hair spot!
