I moved to Austin 6 years ago and I am very picky with my hair! I googled best hair colorist in Austin and numerous reviews popped up about Tina the owner! 6 years latter and no one else has touched my hair!! She does extensions and colors my hair and extensions the most vibrant purples and she perfects it every time!! She is very educated on everything from the chemistry to the psychology of hair color!! The best!! Best hair salon and best hair colorist in Austin hands down! If your looking for a crazy color this is the one!! I get my hair done every 4-5 months and my purple always stays vibrant till then while using the products she suggest and my hair integrity is still so healthy!!

Lauren at Ardeo takes amazing care of my hair. I alternate between full and partial highlights with grey covering color in between - and in spite of the significant grey I have, my hair has never looked better. Additionally, Lauren is an absolute delight, efficient without rushing and always with great product recommendations. I wish I could give 6 stars!

The moment I walked in Lauren was professional, kind, approachable, non-judgmental, and sincere. The atmosphere in here is lovely, with decorations, soft music playing and a personalized touch. The place is clean, inviting and cozy. Lauren kept saying things like, “Your hair took this well, (or) Your hair is looking great.” No, Lauren did my hair well, and she made it look great. Her coworker Ellia was incredibly kind as well, and they created a warm, engaging atmosphere. I appreciate these women, and I’m grateful for Lauren. I walked in with grow out, from previously box dyed hair (a while ago), and hair that’s been growing out in the shape of a horrible mullet, from my self cut- short faux hawk hair. Lauren is definitely someone who enjoys what she does, and it shows in her demeanor.

This was my first time ever coloring my hair, so going from my natural dark blonde to cherry cola had me a tad nervous as I was narrowing down a color studio to pick. However, from the moment I walked into my first consultation and was greeted so warmly by Tina and her team, all anxieties vanished and I knew I was in very good hands. Fast forward a couple of weeks later to my actual appointment, and I can honestly say that I am over-the-moon happy with not just my hair and the thorough explanation of each step of the process, but also the overall hospitality and good vibes from start to finish. Tina the owner of Ardeo is a miracle worker. I have auburn-red hair and have had a difficult time finding anybody who can come close to my natural color. Tina nailed it the first time I saw her. The real test was when I saw cousins who I haven’t seen in a few years and they’re reaction was “wow your hair color looks just like it did when you were younger.”She also gives a great cut, and her staff is lovely. Nice, cute, conveniently located shop.

I LOVED my experience at Ardeo. I have been getting my hair done by a good friend for the last five years, so it was tough finding someplace I felt comfortable in a new city. Lauren, my stylist, took the time to talk to me about my hair and my expectations up front. She explained each step as she did my highlights and described each product she used on my hair. I did not feel upsold at all, and left with my hair in a BEAUTIFUL blonde. I will definitely be going back to see Lauren for a partial highlight and upkeep soon!

The whole Ardeo staff are so friendly and do a great job every time! I have been going for a while and have seen a few different folks but recently have been with Tina (owner) and she not only really listens and understands what I want but she thinks about my hair journey holistically in order to make sure I am keeping my hair healthy and not over-processing for no reason. Every time I leave with beautiful color and a cut that I get compliments on by everyone! I also feel the prices are very reasonable- especially for the talent and work that goes into every service. It took me a while to find a stylist that I can come back to time and time again and feel confident I will leave happy and not in tears!

Took a chance and randomly booked here with Lauren, and she made my hair dreams come true! I love doing fun new hair color styles (Calico and ghost roots to name a few) and she nails it every time.
