I had an amazing experience at Rebel with a Shear! Derek cut my hair, and he was so kind and gentle throughout the process. He really took the time to listen to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable. My hair looks fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier. got the perfect haircut with heather last time-- but derek cut my bags really really short and now im having a mental breakdown. Im about to go on the most important trip of my life that ive been planning and saving for, for over 2 years. im really upset im going to hate every picture of myself. I also asked for the total length to be 1 inch above my shoulders- im not a mathematician but it is certainly well above an inch from my shoulders. reference pic i showed him is attached too.

Derek is the best! Found him by searching for nearby salons and I will continue to only go to him as long as I live in Charlotte. I trust him completely with my hair. He knows exactly what he’s doing, listens to your suggestions/wants/needs and such a fun person to talk to while getting your hair done!

I took my 12 year old autistic child to Rebel With a Shear Salon for a back to school hair cut. Derek got Evan looking super cute for her first day of school and kept her at ease during the cut. I’m always nervous taking her somewhere new but she did so good and I think she really liked her hair. She was all smiles and kept running her fingers through it. I've been cutting my hair with Derek for 3 years now, he is the best and I'm happy every time, colors is amazing and the cuts are so edgy, he listens to my suggestions but also looks out for my hair's health on the long run, super nice and professional!

The location is great. There is a lot of parking options from the parking lot, street parking, parking garage. The atmosphere is calm and the lighting is great. I have been to Derek twice, he did an amazing job on my haircut. He is efficient. I have had bad experiences with hair stylists, and Derek makes me feel confident to come back too.

Mallory was awesome, and I will definitely be back. I not only love my haircut, which is exactly what I was looking for, but she made me feel so comfortable, which is great, because I often feel awkward when I get my hair cut.

Derek is wonderful! I was very nervous to come to a new salon as I am from out of town and in town for a couple months looking to move here soon. I couldn’t be happier that I found him! He’s knowledgeable and very thorough! I had a cut, color and style and I love the cut he gave me! Looking forward to my 2nd appointment today and I’m so happy I don’t need to look for anyone once I move. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know!

I just moved to the area from Las Vegas a few weeks ago and was very nervous about having to find someone new to do my hair. I found Derek here on Google and scheduled with him for my Brazilian Blow Out.. OMG he did amazing, I am sooo happy with how it turned out! My hair has never felt so silky and smooth. Overall my experience was great, and Derek was super sweet, friendly and knowledgeable. He actually did even better than my previous hair stylist back home. I will definitely be coming back. 12/10 would recommend!

I'm currently very pregnant and felt an itch to change something up, and Derek was kind enough to fit me in for a haircut last-minute. This was my first time seeing him, he was so kind and fun, and made me feel very comfortable. I really enjoyed talking to him and left absolutely loving my hair! I'll definitely be back after I have my baby!
