Maxine is my go-to for color - she definitely cares a lot and makes sure my hair matches my skin tone and is never brassy! I'll then go to Romain for my cut to finish off the look - he's fast but makes my hair look amazing every time!

I adore Red Market Salon. I always get exactly what I envision. Kelsey is my go-to girl for hair color—she REALLY knows what she’s doing and she’s so much fun to be around. She’s truly a girl’s girl. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. 11/10 highly recommend!!! Worth every penny.

First very positive impression lasted till very end of my very first appointment there. Maxine has walked me through complex consultation about my hair and recommended the products that finally made me feel confident while having fine hair and it was never resolved by anyone in Europe before. I rarely leave reviews but this experience was so wonderful that I had to do it. I did a donation cut after almost 6 years of growing out my hair and I wanted someone trustworthy and Nicolas was definitely that. He makes you feel comfortable by explaining everything at every step of the way. He even recommended an ethical place to donate the hair. Nicolas has a great eye for what looks good on you and makes sure that he listens to what you want too. He even took into account the minutiae, things I wasn’t even considering like how my field of vision would be affected by the haircut because I wear glasses. I have so many more wonderful things to say, but the review would be an essay! The experience was amazing. If you’re due a haircut then Nico is your man!

Kelsey is hands down the best colorist I have ever seen. She nailed exactly the color I was looking for, went out of her way to sit with me for hours and ensure that the process was painstakingly perfect from start to finish, and followed up with me days later to share helpful tips and offer to make any adjustments. And beyond that she is a homie and an absolute joy of a human to spend an evening chatting about life with!! I can’t recommend her enough.

Kelsey is the best color specialist in NYC/NJ. I have followed her from salon to salon because of her eye for detail, hair knowledge, her patience with understanding what her clients want is unmatched. I have now moved out of state - but still come back to get my hair done by her. She is a rare gem in the hair industry. you will not regret booking with her. In addition, she is so down to earth!

Maxine is an incredible colorist and stylist. I’ve consistently had a great experience at Red Market and love to get my hair done there when I’m in NYC. I’ve gotten haircuts as well as balayage and have been super happy with the results every time. Very professional and relaxing environment in the city. Scheduled me for a PAID modeling, I came all the way from jamaica for this, then when i sat down she told me she cant do it because her boss didnt let her. We scheduled days in advance and she told me when i sat down at that chair. The boss in the question is so unreasonable for this and you are a horrible salon.
