I got a haircut from Erika a while back and completely forgot to leave a review but it was wonderful!! My hair was in an awkward spot and she gave me the cutest shag cut ever. I also had some splotchy highlights and she offered to cover them up which I really appreciated on top of getting some great advice on how to care for my curly hair

Love the cuts from Erika! I have cervical instability and am grateful that Erika accommodates my special needs so graciously. I shampoo my own hair at home and she is careful not to pull too hard on my neck. Definitely make an appointment :)

I found Erika when I was in a pinch right before my wedding weekend, and goodness did I hit the jackpot! It's not easy to trust someone especially when she recommended an all-over color right before the big day and I'm quite 'natural' for all things beauty... but I've now been to Red Union three times and each visit I leave more impressed. Erika is incredibly observant of the overall person to help inform her service, which I found very unique. She truly listens to what I'm looking for, even though it's changed each time and I'm not well versed in beauty terminology, and provides helpful suggestions and encouragement without preconceived ideas for the service based on her own preferences for my hair. Then she executes with an incredible cut that I'm wearing down for the first time as an adult and gorgeous yet subtle highlights. The person checking me out at Sephora complimented my hair today and the three women in line behind me all chimed in with questions about who cuts it and what products do I use... which was a sign I was overdue to come leave a review. If you're considering trusting Erika with your hair - I have no doubt you'll be incredibly pleased! Not to mention her prices are very very reasonable for SF in general, let alone in the Marina. Thank you, Erika!!

I just left the salon after getting a haircut from Erika: she is amazing, intuitive and just knows the shape of the cut you need ……..when she is finished I can look in the mirror with great satisfaction. I am one happy customer and recommend this salon and Erika : I get what I need and especially what I want …..!!!!!!

I have had my hair done several times with Erica and she is excellent. My hair always looks great after seeing her. She really takes her time to accommodate what you want and tailor it to your hair characteristics to make sure that it will work for you.

Erika at Red Union Salon is an amazing colorist who works wonders with my long, thick hair. I first visited her for an emergency after a disaster with pumpkin-colored hair (supposed to be blonde) inflicted by another stylist who said, "Oh, well. I''m not sure what happened. Come back another day and we'll try agaibn." As if. Erika rescued me and I've been going to her exclusively for more than 10 years now. She creates wonderful depth and shading, even with a single color She's also a wonderfully warm person who makes every visit a joy.

Erika does such an amazing job. She is truly a magician with hair. Erika cut my hair in a way that it now takes me way less time to blowdry and style. I highly recommend her. She is just so good, and really cares about her work. I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Erika for the past year. Even though I have long, fine hair, she never fails to deliver a beautiful cut full of volume.. There is no better person to trust than Erika. She does an amazing job with color. My hair never looked so good. She does a beautiful job each time! It's been a few months and the cut and color have exceeded my expectations - without any product or effort it looks great and moves beautifully! If you're looking for a gorgeous cut or color, Erika is the best. This is my new favorite salon.

I took a risk and booked an appointment here for a haircut despite living out of town. I based my decision to use Red Union on Yelp and Google reviews...it was completely the right choice! I had an appointment with Erika and she was great! I needed not just a haircut, but some hair advice, which she knowledgeably gave. The haircut, despite the length of my hair (long), didn't go on for hours and hours like it can some places (this is a good thing). The end result is a haircut that I love (even almost two weeks after) and is easy to take care of and will be one that I will try to repeat the next time I'm in San Francisco!

I've been to Red Union hair salon a couple of times to get my hair cut and highlighted. The salon itself is clean, comfortable, with a very inviting staff. The only stylist I've been to there is Erika who is friendly and, more importantly, a she's a genius at color, highlights, and styling. How she managed to cut my hair in a way that got rid of the cow licks in my bangs remains a mystery. I also have quite a bit of hair and most places in the past take hours upon end to do a full head of highlights. I have no idea how she gets the color exactly as I describe it in about 1/2 the time at other places. Erika is a pro at anything hair related. Best I know of in San Francisco. 100% recommend her!

Erika is amazing. I had given up on drug store dyes because the grey just kept turning pink. When I finally consulted with her, figuring she would be involved in either dying or letting my hair totally grow out, she took one look at my completion and simply said, “Going grey is not good idea.” I surrendered to her coloring and styling expertise. That was in 2010. And still, after all these years with Erika, people complement me on how good my hair looks, how young I look. Having bangs for the first time since college, my husband says I am a perfect Louis Brooks look-a-like. My thought: You indeed get what you pay for. It is so well worth it.

I had the best hair cut, color and style from Erika Redding a few weeks ago. This is to be expected as I've been going to her for ten years to have my hair done! I appreciate Erika's knowledge of hair types and updated familiarity of the latest styles. And she is the best with color. I have fine, thin hair and need an expert to do a good job in order for me to come away looking healthy and natural...Erika does this for me each and every time! When ever I'm in town I go to Red Union Hair Salon to have my Erika fix. Though there have been times when I have arranged to have her come down to Los Angeles to keep me in good hair check. The competition is stiff in Hollywood, and thanks to Erika I'm able to keep up appearances! Kirsten
