Never have I had my hair done by a more caring and amazing stylist make up ,artist!!! Sarah is a genius at achieving the perfect color, cut and all around total look! I suggest that you run, don't walk! Make your appointment and be dazzled.. I'm so excited I found my hairstylist here in Virginia!!

Great Service Sarah did my brothers (right) hair and he had no complaints went to school thinking he was fly asl. He also understood how his appointment was gonna go thanks to reading the contract (guess Tua should’ve paid attention in English class or wtv 🤷🏾‍♀️). And even if he had complaints he wouldn’t have asked for a refund. Maybe you [TUA] should just…idk…COPE instead of review bombing. Get a hobby? Maybe go outside and touch grass, oh or better yet A JOB 💜 Hope this helps!

I have 3b/3c hair and although the owner (Sarah) claims she capable of treating & caring for all hair types, the quality of service & color treatment definitely proved otherwise. I wasn’t happy with my results and she knew it. She wouldn’t issue me a full refund but instead tried to force me to come back to the salon so she could fix it (this was apparently the only solution). I’ve expressed my wants over a phone call and three sessions and she did not deliver. Also, the service/wait times were much longer than it needed to be because she would service other clients/walkins or attend to personal matters during my appointment time (and deposit was made). I went to another salon & they fixed the mess that was made and created an EXACT replica of what I wanted my hair to turn out like. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who has high expectations of quality/cleanliness. Also wouldn’t recommend to anyone with diverse textured hair. I wasted $300 on time and improper care.

Super unhappy with my final results. Had three visits, two of which booked & serviced by Sarah (the owner). I explicitly detailed & explained my request over three visits & a phone call. The results were not met. Longer/heavy wait & services times because she serviced multiple people while servicing me (even though I paid my deposit). FYI please do not expect to have a 1on1 personal hair experience. You will NOT receive that. What I wanted: Dark red/brown undertone to complement my natural dark brown hair color (the undertone would not be noticeable unless under bright light so it would be very subtle). Picture attached. What I received: 1st visit I waited an hr past my appointment time to get serviced. 2nd visit I sat for 2 hrs extra than I what I should’ve because she serviced walk-ins. 3rd visit my hair was majority bright red (also, she didn’t have our agreed color on hand so she mixed random colors). My hair was not subtle & the red was obvious. The toner wasn’t applied correctly for my hair type. A week later, my hair appears copper/mahogany. I am not confident in her ability to manage/treat my hair type (3b/3c). Pictured attached. Offered resolution: After my complaint, the owner/stylist (Sarah) offered to book me for a toner application to darken the red. I declined because I was untrusting of her ability to achieve my results and I grew impatient of the quality & service times. Her “factors” for the length of service times is her servicing other people during your appointment and/or attending to her own personal matters during your appointment. That is not acceptable for a client. I asked for a full refund & she would not honor it. In order to get any sort of resolution, you HAVE to come back into the salon to get it fixed. I refused to let her touch my hair again. She claimed her policy was briefed to me & she had video evidence of such however, I told her they were never briefed since she booked my appointments through her phone & she has yet to show me such evidence. I wasted time & $300 on horrible service & unwanted results. I’ve shared my experience with other stylists who also agree that her skill set proves her inability to properly service hair, especially curly hair.

This was such an AMAZING experience! I came in with curls that were dry brittle lost and confused! Sarah really took her time and demonstrated a refreshing amount of attention to detail. she brought my hair back to LIFE (see after and before photos)and gave me great advice on hair care and products going forward. she is absolutely so knowledgeable and so versatile. The atmosphere Sarah has created in her salon is so accepting so relaxing and hospitibal, with complementary drinks and snacks. I found it especially great for moms and families like myself. My whole family will be visiting Re.fine for all of our hair care needs going forward. You should definitely use her services your hair will be in great hands! looking forward to utilizing the services of their loctician as well for my husband, like I said so versatile and the price was very reasonable. all around 10/10.

I had an eye waxing appointment with Gabby today and it was so relaxing! Gabby is very gentle. She made a scary experience very peaceful LOL. She keeps an extremely clean and sanitary area. I recommend this salon and Gabby to everyone, she is a sweetheart and she is extremely talented and precise. The owner Sarah is very kind and professional and made me feel at home.

I had a fantastic experience with Sarah! I connected with her in a bridal group on Facebook in search of a stylist to do an updo for my wedding day. I booked with her for an initial consultation and silk press. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable on healthy hair maintenance, and took the time to explain every product and process used on my hair. I was very impressed with the finished look, and that she was able to achieve it using Minimal heat and protecting the health and integrity of my hair. she is very professional and her shop is clean and beautiful! I am looking forward to having her as my stylist on my wedding day and beyond!

Sarah is a coloring pro! I told her my colors and she got it done! My hair was soft, smooth, and styled after she colored it with the colors running together with perfection! I went to her for my RN pinning ceremony, but now I'm a permanent customer! Thanks Sarah:)

Sarah has been doing my hair for a few years now and I have never been disappointed. The vibe in her shop is super down to earth and always comfortable. Even during the pandemic, she has taken many measures to ensure her clients’ safety. She is a stylist who takes her art very seriously. I have always struggled between what I want and what I need when it comes to my hair but Sarah always finds a really good balance and produces the best outcome every time. She takes time with each of her clients and you never feel rushed or like she's trying to hurry up and get to the next client. I highly recommend Sarah and Re.fine Hair Salon. You will not be disappointed!

She educated me on how to care for my hair properly and helped me understand my hair better. She did a silk wrap and trim which I haven’t had in over a year and my hair has never looked so beautiful in my life! I’ll be going to her from now on. Life long customer!!!
