Ms. Dee is our family's go-to for healthy hair and length retention. Thanks to her guidance, my daughters transitioned from keratin treatments (which are both costly and damaging) to fully natural hair without needing a big chop. After a year and a half, their hair now reaches past their shoulders! Highly recommended!

Arlene is the best!!! I have very curly hair that I never wanted to wear naturally. It took forever to straighten, so she told me that a relaxer treatment would help. She was definitely right! She’s so sweet and I definitely will be going back for touch ups! I would recommend going to Arlene she knows everything about hair!

Wonderful! I love getting my hair done by Arlene. She not only treats and styles my hair but also teaches me how to take care of it properly myself. I have mixed hair and have been told so many contradicting theories and she know exactly the dos and don't to get my hair to grow. Arlene is skilled stylist that is so welcoming and knows how to pamper her clients. Arlene make getting my hair done an enjoyable, relaxing experience. She transforms my hair and my whole attitude when I leave her chair. Thanks Arlene for always pampering me!

I came to chicago to see my great grandma for her birthday and visit my father’s grave I really needed my hair done but every shop was booked up so I came to this one because It was black owned.I let the stylist know I am 100% natural I don’t use a lot of heat before I sat in her chair she said “okay”. The stylist was on the phone yelling the entire time and I empathized with her cause her brother was in hospital and on life support and may no longer be here. I asked her to JUST clip my ends she agreed my hair was super healthy and proceeded to cut my hair super short not paying any attention to what she was doing to my hair due to her being super busy on the phone the entire time. After my appointment I went through days also weeks of my hair breaking off😢 it’s time to deep condition my hair some parts are completely straight and some are curly she had completely damaged my hair my curls were gone in so many places I literally cried for every day for weeks. It took me years to grow my hair and just like that my hair was ruined I had to get braids because I Normally use to where my natural hair but my was coming out a lot and it looked horrible I Will never come here again.If You Love Your Hair Please Don't Go To This Place Look What They Did To My Once Beautiful hair I Will Be going On On YouTube To Tell My Story💔💔

Arlene’s a great talented stylist. I’ve been going to Arlene for some years now to help me start my natural hair process. I always receive so many compliments on my rod set she does. Since Ive been going natural my hair has grown and its healthy. If you need any advice on products to use for your hair she will recommend certain products. You can always make an appointment by “StyleSeat” or her “personal direct line”. At “Relax She’s Natural” it’s a very clean, relaxing and professional space to get your hair did in peace. In the past I have been to shops where the music is loud and people gossiping, and not so clean etc. Relax She’s Natural is very rare beauty shop to find these days. I hope this is very helpful to all of you. If you’re ever looking for a Natural Stylist Arlene is the person to go to.

Best experience of my life! The vibe is relaxed and fun, and Sheaunia has hands and skills blessed by God! Every hair stylist in the place was simply SLAYING. Even more wonderful is the care and level of precautions that have been taken to ensure that everyone is safe and prevent the spread of COVID. I have been going to Dee for a while. She truly cares about her clients and she has such a good heart and spirit. She will have your hair so healthy and what I love most is she educates you on the importance of healthy hair. I would most definitely recommend Relax She's Natural. The whole staff is talented and very nice.

The “stylist” was supposed to give me a healthy hair trim... she cut off half of my hair, claimed she didn’t need to blow dry my hair out in order to trim it because I have curly hair, my hair is now shorter than it was 2 yrs ago, she cut off more than 2 years worth of my hair growth, then Edward Scissor Hands said she Could cut off more... she also claimed that she wouldn’t make me leave the salon with a wet head since it’s freezing cold outside—of course my head was wet when I left... can’t trust any salon/stylist

I love my experience at Relax She’s Natural! Ms Dee is the best for a reason. I’ve had 5 appointments with her now and every time it’s worth it. She’s professional and informative about natural hair. She really cares about the health of my hair and improving it with the products she uses. Every time I leave the salon, my hair feels amazing! The problematic trend with "natural" hair shops is that you find out they have no idea what theyre doing and are not professionally trained when you're already sitting in their chair. This was FAR from the case at this salon. I booked my appointment with Nica on her style seat, she emailed me a week before the appointment to confirm and ask questions. I showed up to the shop and she was ready to start my hair IMMEDIATELY. I was not sitting and waiting as she styled someone else. I knew she was legit when she stuck her fingers in my hair and told me i needed a trim before she even started washing. She FINGER detangled my hair, told me what products she was using, rinsed with cold water, and blow dried on LOW heat. All signs of a true professional that knows how to manage natural hair. My twists are neat, beautiful, And my edges are not compromised! I received a compliment within 30 minutes of walking out. 😃😃 I also watched the other stylist Dee handle her clients, and same exact thing. She used good products and the right techniques . Both clients i saw had completely different styles but both were beautiful. I will definitely be returning . Both ladies are appointment only so book through their style seat accounts. You will be pleased! You can't go wrong with either of them.
