First off let me say I’ve been here before and had a foot massage, which was fantastic. Decided to get a “table comfort” hour massage and had the most painful, awful experience. I literally got a massage by a man’s elbow, at max strength…. Mainly on my bones, not muscle. I thought my squirming and grunting was enough to show I was in pain. I’m not the type to voice when I’m not pleased as I’m trying to let him do his job…. but I asked (not joking) 5 times to have it not so hard. Idk if the man couldn’t understand me or not, because he just laughed. I even asked if he could please just use his hands and no elbows… still didn’t stop. I almost asked to end the massage half way in because I was so uncomfortable. I was in borderline tears at the end. Such a huge disappointment. I fear I’ll have bruises up and down my body tomorrow. Please listen to your clients when they say “too hard” …. “softer please” … “please stop with the elbows”…. “That’s uncomfortable” …. It’s not funny to be in so much pain.

I had a 30 minute chair massage today. She burped and sniffled through the whole massage. She barely applied pressure during the massage. The most pressure she applied was while rubbing my spine. She didn’t say a word while I was paying because she was on the phone. I would not recommend this place.

If you like a no-fuss, strong, deep tissue massage, this is your place- my favorite! I’ve been going for the last 3 years and have never had to wait. Nothing but a fantastic experience, no matter who does it. And so reasonably priced. Thank you

I (Dana) absolutely love this place! My wonderful massage therapist retired earlier this year, and I was searching for new options. I've walked by the Relax Spa so many times, and I decided to stop in about a month ago. I've visited twice now, both times with Andy. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, everything is very clean, and, Andy is wonderful! Thank you!

I went a month ago had a spasm on my lower left back got a massage here it was the best I ever had!!. I highly recommend this place!. Never had an issue.

Ignore the sketchy look from the outside, they give fantastic massages! We did combination Table/Foot 50 minutes and they were not clock watchers…we received over 60 minutes. But YMMV!

My partner received the worst and most uncomfortable massage of their life here yesterday. Whenever she would profess discomfort they would not lessen the pressure. They cracked her neck/attempted to do chiropractic related "treatment" with zero warning, even though that was something she did NOT want and from my own alarm did NOT look like something they were certifiably trained in. And when she got up from an alarm going off, they forced her back into the seat. I understand there is a language barrier, however even some gesture, signal, or even a one syllable word can help communicate customers needs better. This place is a liability suit waiting to happen. Do NOT go here, and do NOT give money to them until they learn to treat their customers better.

I left with more shoulder pain than I came in with :( Deep tissue chair massage was too rough. I said ouch several times, and they never asked if the pressure was too much. I didn't realize that they actually injuried me until I got home and had to ice my back.

These guys are magic sorcerers. I've had a frozen shoulder and horrible neck pain. I've been coming in to see these gentlemen for several 30-minute table sessions and have gotten such relief. They offer what I would describe as deep tissue levels of pressure for such amazing prices. Thank you guys!

Hands down, one of the best massages I've ever gotten. I have so many knots in my upper back and need strong, deep tissue massages. Relax Spa always comes through. Staff are all very polite and are highly skillful. Come during the weekday to avoid the crowds. Make sure you tip the staff - it's well deserved.

My guy spent practically the whole 45min just wasting time pressing on my back very hard with his elbow/forearm .. i was very disappointed.

I have been a frequent customer of this massage place since I moved to Portland 4 years ago. Here are the reasons I strongly recommend this place: 1. No appointments are required. You can walk in and get a massage anytime during weekdays with no wait, or 10-20 minutes wait on weekends. These people work super hard. When the store becomes busy, they would swiftly coordinate with each other's time and try to get you in asap. They have never short me in time though. 2. I have tried their bed, chair and foot massages and the services are decent and reasonly priced. 3. I fell asleep in foot massages. The reclining chairs are comfy and cushioning. They even provide small towls to cover your eyes when you are resting. Love the hot towls that they wrap my feet with before finishing the massage. I enjoy the foot massage so much that I purchased a bundle of 10 foot massages plus a bonus one for free. Check with the store to see they still have this promotion. 4. It is conveniently located inside Washington Square mall, right next to an exit to the parking lot. The spa is relatively quiet and slightly away from the traffic.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I use to go to that place often. Them one day I got a massage, paid for it...then 4 days later they charged my card for a SECOND time. It has been 2 weeks and they still refuse yo process a refund, everyone from the therapist to the owner of the biz pretend yo understand no english. In total I was charged over $300 for one massage. They really need to improve their business practices. Running someones card without their permission is a crime and I am pursing legal action against the company.

Worst "massage" I have ever had in my entire life. The so-called "therapist" kept grinding his elbow into my back with almost his full weight. Even when I told him to go lighter, he didn't, because we had a major language barrier. I have no idea how this place is staying in business. I seriously doubt that anyone there is a certified massage therapist.

Spent 90 bucks and it was definitely worth it. It was the best massage I have ever had. I can't wait to keep coming back.
