Howard is the best stylist in NM. For those that have curly hair we know what a difference a good cut can mean. I have gone to howard for waist length styles as well as the current short style I wear. I go into the salon knowing i have the best curly stylist in the area. He knows what i am looking for and always hits thw mark! I have gone to Howard for years and never been disapointed. HE IS THE BEST. COME SEE HIM SOON AND ALL YOUR HAIR WOES WILL DISAPEAR! PROMISE😄

Julie made my hair so uneven ! I’m am very upset with my hair and how it came out she didn’t even offer to fix after I expressed what I didn’t like I strongly suggest you do not go to her. She will mess up your hair !

I went to this business over 17 years ago I met my hairstylist that was my hairstylist for 17 years she was amazing she left I decided to return to Renaissance hair salon and I called I made an appointment which is not a challenging task but evidently nobody put my appointment down so when I got there the receptionist her name is Ray told me that I didn’t have an appointment pretty much made it seem as though it was my fault when I contacted her back to asked to speak to the owner she hung up on me I cannot believe how poor the service has gone after 17 years do you not go to this place really it’s not worth your time

I love this place. It's often difficult to find businesses that have someone who is amazing at what they do, but also finding staff that are just as great. Both hair stylists have been great with myself and my daughter. The front desk clerk gave my daughter a headband after paying for the haircut services. She absolutely loved it. Haircuts always come out great, and they priced very well for what you receive.

I had the pleasure to work with a gentleman the second time around. I was satisfied with his confidence and knowledge but unfortunately after getting home and looking closely. It was still not what I wanted. I wish I could of said something while there but couldn’t be mean after he took hours fixing the first attempt. They were very polite and nice when it came to fixing it After first time but balayage hair is not their strong point. Which really sucks to have damaged my hair more.

I went to Renaissance on Juan Tabo Tuesday June 23rd. It was my first visit there. I was assigned to Howard. I thought I made myself clear on the parameters of how I wanted my hair cut. I had not had my hair cut since February just like everyone else. I like my hair longish. I asked Howard to trim it and cut the curls in the back to collar length. Howard cut my hair with scissors,but I now look like I had a Buzz cut. WAY TOO SHORT. He obviously didn't listen to anything I said. I look like I'm getting ready for my first day at grade school. The worst hair cut I've ever had.

I walked into this salon on a whim and had my hair done by the owner George. He was so friendly, fast, knowledge and did a fantastic job! Second time I got my hair cut by Howard and he was just as amazing. All of the staff at this location are very welcoming and professional, it's a fun and relaxing place go go and to look your best!

Well, even though I ended up with a different stylist it was a slam dunk again. The stylist I had before got my hair looking really good. Over the years of asking for certain cuts it had gotten stringy looking. He started me off right. So, the stylist I had today was like ok... oh, wow your hair is long (waist length) and of course I had no idea other than I did not want it all cut off. So she was like ok, how about to here. Well we all know what that means sometimes... but it ended up exactly that length, nice and even and just a smidge of style in the front. It is perfect. I can still put up pony or clip! Easy peasy! Or style very nicely too! Thank you Margie Gonzales. I will be seeing you again.

Howard is like a scientist living in a hair stylist’s body. He has spent decades perfecting his craft, knows the technical terms for every hair process, and has unmatchable expertise. Howard took my hair from bubble gum pink to dirty blonde/light brown in about an hour. I’m so impressed. Worth every penny. The atmosphere is welcoming for people from all walks of life.

Jeff is awesome. He colored my hair and it looks awesome. I just walked out of the salon and already got compliments. This salon is fabulous it gives you a grab bag full of goodies. It also is very clean and positive everyone is very friendly. They also have a variety of drinks they serve while you wait. I love this place.
