ORIGINAL REVIEW (Jan. 12 appointment): If you have 4c / 4b hair BEWARE. My hair tech said that Rescue does NOT have the heating tools necessary to straighten hair of that texture. Their flat irons only go to 325 degrees whereas our hair needs between 400-450 for straightening. I sat in the styling chair for over THREE HOURS because the tech saw my hair as a "challenge" and wanted experience working with it. I was consistently asked if I knew any other hair places in the area before being told flat-out that there were no hair techs at Rescue who could work with my hair. I ended up paying over $200 to go home and straighten my own hair to get the desired look. The upsides? I got my bangs fixed, my ends trimmed, and gold dust sprinkled all over my frizzed out hairdo. If I had known this would've been my experience I never would have booked an appointment. UPDATE: I discovered a few bald spots around my hair line from where the hair tech used a small round brush to pull out my curls for drying. My hair is also severely frizzy from strand damage. I had to cut damaged ends off (after already getting so much cut from the original appointment) and will be doing multiple protein treatments to recover my hair's health. This appointment genuinely set my hair growth back two years. Natural hair girlies STAY AWAY from Rescue Spa!

The last time I went for a facial and it was nerve wrecking. She extracted my nose. This was fine, but then she extract between my brows, which was not necessary. I remember feeling a stab in the middle of my brows with multiple stab going downward. I never had any wrinkles there before. Now, it’s a scar, as if I had a wrinkle in an unnatural way. I am very disappointed and will never return.

Long time customer here. I was surprised that after many trips to Rescue Spa, I had a bad experience and I unfortunately had a massage by a gal with long fingernails. Also trying to “stretch” my arms by pulling them instead of doing an actual deep tissue massage. She also shared she had just learned this “technique” the prior week. I didn’t say anything to her. I let the front desk know while checking out. I paid and left. After giving it some thought I decided to call and ask if I could have a refund. They said yes. A month later, not refunded. I had to follow up again twice. They really blocked my account from book appts. on the website. If you complain they will not let you come back. I’ll miss you Venus!! Unfortunately, Rittenhouse Hotel is getting my business now.

I love the facials here, but the front desk is too pushy about buying danucera products. When I declined to purchase a product, the front desk scanned and said that the product was not that expensive and forced me to purchase the product. It's rude to force paying customers to purchase products when they decline.

I have been going to rescue spa to get pampered for about five years consistently by one of the best aestheticians Gigi. She does an amazing job. Extremely professional and will have you walking out of there looking like a million bucks. I highly recommend trying her out. She’s the best.

Disappointing Experience I'm writing this review to share my experience with Danucera Supreme Cream because I noticed that the brand only posts positive reviews on their website, which I believe is misleading to potential customers. I’ve been a loyal Resque Spa customer since 2017 and have used their products exclusively for years. However, my experience with Danucera products, especially the Supreme Cream, has been nothing short of disappointing. I first tried the Danucera Tonic, which was fine but not as effective as my usual P50 tonic. I then decided to try the Supreme Cream, which had all the rave reviews. Unfortunately, after just two weeks of use, my sensitive, rosacea-prone skin developed severe red, blistering patches around my nose. The condition worsened every day until I realized the only change I had made was the cream. Once I stopped using the product, my skin slowly began to recover with the help of antibiotics over the next two weeks. I decided to share my experience by writing a review on the Resque Spa website, but despite submitting it three times, my review was never posted. This raised concerns for me: how many other negative reviews are being hidden in favor of only publishing positive feedback? Given my experience and the lack of transparency, I will not be purchasing from them again. I encourage others to be cautious and consider the possibility that many reviews may not be fully representative of the product's true effects.

Great spa, beautiful. The aesthetician did not do any extractions during my last facial. They r too aggressive with sales of their products. The lady at the counter seemed upset I did not pick a product after my facial. I already have products at home and cannot keep buying unneeded products.

Had one of the best hot stone massages of my life here. I would fly all the way back here for another. However I can only give 4 stars because the shower in the relaxation room was a little confusing, and then it malfunctioned causing an extremely loud noise in the pipes and would not turn back on. The staff did resolve this after I called, but it was understandably jarring and quite time consuming

I can not describe how amazing my fix-it-all facial by Reem was. I came in with low confidence and a full-on acne flair-up, and I left not only feeling incredibly relaxed and at peace but feeling much better about myself and my acne. I HIGHLY recommend booking a facial with her

I am a regular visitor for mani/pedi, massages, and the occasional facial. So - I obviously enjoy the services. I take my friends and family when they visit Philly. Spa and employees are both lovely.

I had an amazing experience with Cassandra, who not only delivered a fantastic massage but also took the time to discuss the importance of stretching and muscle care when I told her I was a runner. She was incredibly professional, responsive to my pressure preferences, and explained her techniques throughout the session when I asked questions. It was both relaxing and informative—I highly recommend her!!

I hosted the Minnesota Vikings partners / spouses for a semi-private experience at Rescue Spa Philadelphia before the pre-season game. From the beginning, the Executive GM Tim went above and beyond to make the experience special. From creating a custom catering space and implementing champagne upon arrival - the team truly made this an experience to remember. Our group is accustomed to incredible spas, but Rescue Spa Philadelphia takes the award for the best. From the respective treatments to the welcoming environment this is something our group will remember for a long time. Already looking forward to the next trip to Philly! I must say this place is absolutely amazing on many different levels. Today I had a massage, Facial, and eyebrows threading along with tint. From the moment you walk in you’re treated well and the place looks beautiful. The massage was awesome!! The facial was amazing leaving my face looking smooth with a beautiful glow. Christiana did my facial and she was very informative about every product as she applied and how it benefits the skin. She is amazing the best facial, I’ve had! My eyebrows were done by Maria and she is phenomenal. My eyebrows came out looking amazing the best eyebrow threading and tint I’ve had. Overall, the experience was amazing, a bit pricey but you can’t put a price on your SKINCARE/SELFCARE. Definitely visit again.

if i could give 10 stars i would!! the space was absolutely stunning and felt so luxurious. the first floor had products from makeup, perfumes, room sprays/candles, skincare, accessories as well as a a hair salon and mani/pedi area. we received a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in and headed upstairs to the waiting area which was so cozy. i received a 90 minute facial with cheryl and she was amazing - i was dealing with some breakouts and dryskin and she talked me through my current skincare routine and recommended some products that will help with the issues im having. the facial was out of this world and my skin has never looked better afterwards. I also received a blowout from the salon. typically when i get a blowout i am left with flat hair and curls that dont last but whatever she did was magic!! i had VOLUME!!! and beautiful curls that lasted even into the next day. i cannot recommend this place enough -if you want to pamper and treat yourself, look no further than resuce spa!!

The most disappointing experience. I scheduled a threading appointment to get my brows done for my wedding three weeks in advance. I got a call THE DAY BEFORE my appointment saying the technician I scheduled with was not going to be in for the next week and they need to reschedule my appointment. I’m not sure why they thought it was appropriate to cancel on me the day before when they had this appointment on their calendar for 3 weeks but this is not a good customer experience. When I was on the phone with the scheduling department I could hear multiple people in the background also rescheduling other appointments with the same technician. Very unprofessional and left me in a tough situation days before my wedding.

Treated myself to a facial by Anna for my birthday and it was incredible! The spa is fabulous and so aesthetically pleasing. The facial massage was out of this world. Definitely one of my best facials I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!). I love their products and recommendations. Will definitely be going back!

You get what you pay for. This is a LUXURY spa, and I am never disappointed when I’m here. I had the pleasure of getting a facial by Angel and it was hands down the best facial I’ve ever gotten. She was so informative and knowledgeable with everything. I had specific question before, during, and after the facial, and she answered all of them. Angel even took time during the facial to explain to me why she was using which products on my skin and how they worked different from other products. The atmosphere is bright, clean, and luxurious. This is where you come if you want to feel like a million bucks when you walk out. One last thing that I also deeply appreciate is, sometimes places shove products at you like you HAVE to buy them. I’ve never felt pressured here to buy l the products recommended, and I love having a paper copy of all the recommended products so if I do want them in the future, I have that option. I can’t wait to come back!

I have been getting facials from Gigi Falco for the past three years, and I cannot fully express how grateful I am for what she has done for my skin and my confidence!! My first time with Gigi she extracted over 200 closed comedones and I have had almost no issues since! Gigi is seriously a miracle worker!! I cannot recommend her enough.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Rescue Spa Philadelphia for about 8 years. It is one of the best spas in the city and the new location is gorgeous. It truly feels like an upscale spa and their facials are so relaxing and effective for various skin concerns. My favorite is Le Lift with a Seaweed mask add-on as I am i big fan of Biologique Recherche products. I’ve tried other spas in Center City and suburbs but for facials, I keep coming back to Rescue. Sylvia is great esthetician and so professional. However, I had to take one star off because of the front desk/checkout experience. People working there are rude and wouldn’t smile (with a rare exception). I always feel like they are doing me a favor. When you are spending $350 on a facial and close to $400 on skincare products, I would expect at least a smile and a warm demeanor. And not the condescending attitude to customers who have been going there for years. Example: today a front desk person told me to swipe my card without even announcing the total cost of the services and products. Apparently, I am supposed to just pay whatever and buy products without knowing what each product costs (there are no price tags on BR products). Sadly, i won’t be buying BR products at Rescue spa anymore as I can order them online and not get a “side-eye” but also get samples (they used to give you BR samples when shopping in-person but not anymore). Plus other spas in Philly sell BR products in-store as well. When buying luxury skincare like BR, you hope for a more personable experience than what I got today.
