I recently had balayage and haircut from Hilary as a hair model, and am very happy with the results! Both the cut and color were exactly in line with what we talked about at the beginning of the appointment - I wanted something super low maintenance and Hilary made sure to consider that, and made suggestions about color when I wasn't exactly sure what would best suit my coloring, that ended up looking great. Hilary and everyone else at the salon were super friendly and fun - would definitely recommend and go back!

I went to Hilary as a hair model for balayage. My hair turned out nice, very subtle, nothing dramatic, and was well blended. I believe she is going to be a true asset to the salon as she perfects her skills.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Revamp Salon. I got partial highlights, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The highlights look natural, and I've received numerous compliments on my hair. The staff was professional and friendly. Huy is super nice and knowledgeable. He makes you feel comfortable and looking good. He listened to my vague hair request because I don't have a strong hair style preference, and he gave me advice on how to take care and style it too.

Beautiful, clean, and spacious salon. Hilary was so knowledgeable and gave me a cut I love along with great hair care and styling tips. All the staff were very professional and friendly and seemed to spend a lot of time, taking special care of each client.

I have to say that this is a jewel of a place in the Mission District in San Francisco. Chloe and Hillary did a wonderful job on my hair. Everyone was very friendly and they make you feel welcome. I had bleached my own hair and really messed it up and Chloe and Hillary worked very hard on getting it all straightened out! I highly recommend this salon! Thank you Lee for your help and we’re having such a great salon and sharing Riley😊

I trust Huy 110% with my hair! I can always rely on him to take amazing care of my hair and has helped guide me through my hair journey as I’ve grown it out from a short fade. He’s been cutting my hair for the last year since I started growing it out and I’ve been able to avoid awkward stages throughout! When I come in Huy is always so pleasant, offers me a beverage while I wait, and is so knowledgeable. I can tell him my final vision and he knows the best way for me to reach it and gives me amazing hair care tips and styling advice along the way. While I haven’t worked with anyone else yet at Revamp, every time I’ve come in, the other stylists also seem just as knowledgeable and welcoming. I cannot recommend Revamp salon enough!

As an Asian woman with stick straight hair, I have spent a lifetime jealous of my friends who had body or a little curl in their hair. I’ve tried everything to rectify this, from classic perms, to fancy styling tools, and a crapload of product. Let me say, that I have never loved my hair more after getting a digital perm from Dominique under Huy’s expert guidance. I have a trendy shag and it used to require so much to get it to even resemble what I was hoping for, most of the time with mixed results. No longer! Now, I get perfect hair every time with a fraction of the effort. It makes my life so much easier and now I don’t have to take an arsenal of products when I travel. I think I will be a digital perm and Revamp salon loyalist for life. Literally life changing if you want easy, beautiful waves! First two pics are with the perm, third is what my hair is like naturally.

Huy is simply the best! I have been getting my haircut by him for about 7 years. He listens and also suggests the best cuts for your face shape while helping to get you out of your comfort zone of styles and nourishing my tired, dry locks at the same time. I always leave the salon felling refreshed and renewed.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Since moving to sf I’ve had a few ‘meh’ haircuts, so I was looking for a really good hairdresser. My old hairdresser from before I moved recommended Huy here at Revamp and oh boy, is he quality! He’s patient, easy to talk to, and executes EXACTLY what I’m looking for each time. He’s so thoughtful with each appointment to understand what I want. I went to him asking for emerald green hair with a very particular, slightly androgynous cute shaggy cut and hes exceeded my expectations. I get complimented everywhere I go. Huy is the man y’all!!!

I met Huy 17 years ago at Mane Attraction in Cole Valley. I’ve followed him ever since He might be my longest relationship. Even when I moved to NYC, I would fly back to SF just because Huy is so good at cutting Asian girl hair. Back in SF so it’s been years, he still amazes me with his cut and color. I basically just sit down and let him do whatever he wants because he is skilled in knowing what my hair type benefits from. I send him pictures and he’ll be honest on whether it will work for my hair or not. He is great at listening to what my day to day process is and matching my haircut to that kind of lifestyle. I have haircuts that after 3 months, folks will still ask me who cut my hair because it grows out so well!
