I am beyond thrilled with the job Liz did with my hair this week. It’s tough to find someone who can work well with blonde and getting it to those magic light and bright tones, but yay for Liz!! Already booked my next appointment. Also, the salon itself has such a creative, fun and relaxing ambiance. Everything here is thoughtful and puts the guest first. I haven’t had my hair done in years. I normally don’t do much with my hair and I get super nervous going to someone to have it cut and colored. My hair means so much to me and today I decided to trust Liz with a big job. I am so happy that I did! She is a true hair artist! Liz is amazing in all aspects. She has an amazing personality and is truly one of the best people I have met. I can’t express how much today meant to me! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love my hair!! 💜

Liz is probably the rudest person I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I came to her hoping to get a color correction from a previous stylist who had traumatized me and not given the results I had asked for. Liz initially made me feel very comfortable in her abilities. She ensured her salon was a "safe space" and she understood the sadness and anxiety I had about coming to another stylist. She even explained the self-created concept of "hair trauma" to me, which aligned perfectly with the sign on her desk that reads "I'm a Hair-apist". However, as soon as I asked the simple question of what she was planning to do to give me the color I wanted, she started lashing out at me and saying obscured things. "I'm a professional and you wouldn't understand my process even if I tried explaining it to you", "You don't ask a doctor to explain a medication or procedure before they do it!" "You know nothing about this so don't ask!". This made me so uncomfortable to the point of tears. The entire appointment I was having an uncontrollable anxiety attack from the way she was treating me. Keep in mind, I am a teenager and have never had any emotional distraught like that before. It is ridiculous how she made me feel and even more ridiculous how she did my hair. I asked for highlights and a money piece. I wanted a light brown color, something natural. When she dried my hair I had bright yellow highlights all over the top of my head (picture the chunky highlights from the 2000s. They were so harsh and untoned it looked like I had done it myself. When I saw this I began crying again because I was in disbelief that she had made my hair WORSE than the previous lady! To wrap it all up, her "$100 color correction" service ended up being $270 dollars (I did not tip). Liz did not offer a discount or to fix my hair even when she saw I was extremely unhappy. Do not go to Liz, unless you want to ruin your hair and experience the most emotional distraught you have ever felt. There are plenty of excellent stylists in the kc area who have worked at Revilo in the past, but left because Liz was insane. I suggest checking them out before you resort to her.

Absolutely love the care and attention she puts into each client, Liz took the time to sit down and ask what I'm looking for, was able to cut/ style to what I needed, and recommend product for my style and maintenance level! I will definitely be back

I hate to leave a poor review, but my daughter had a terrible experience last night! She showed Liz a photo of how she wanted her hair cut, and Liz immediately started chopping her hair dry. We specifically stated that my daughter did not want a "curly haircut," and Liz assured us that she would fine cut it after a wash and blowout. When Liz was done cutting, she asked my daughter what she thought. It didn't look anything like the photo, and Liz stated, "Your hair isn't anything like the girl's in the photo, so you can't have your hair cut like that." (Us wondering why she didn't state that at the beginning of the appointment when we showed her the photo.) Then Liz added, "Look, I did my best. I'm an artist, and I did my best." She refused to do any touch ups or adjustments. She said we would need to book another FULL appointment and start over. Normally when you're dissatisfied with a cut, the stylist will correct or adjust until you are happy with your cut. If Liz didn't have the time to fix it, she could have offered for us to come back at a different time to fix it. When we checked out, she charged us $90 instead of the $55 that was quoted to me when I booked the appointment online. When I questioned her about it, she said that she charges extra to blow out the hair. Again, it would have been great to know that she charges an extra $35 to blow dry the hair after the haircut! I have NEVER been to a salon that charges extra to blow your hair dry after I get it cut. Can you imagine walking out of a salon with wet hair? No, because that is always included in the price of the cut! I felt very taken advantage of. Liz accepted no responsibility for the bad cut and offered no apology or restitution. Additionally, the lack of transparency in pricing is appalling. I will never come back. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

She always makes sure she knows exactly what I want and what my expectations should be! She’s honest with you, doesn’t try to sell you on anything, she’s genuine. This salon is amazing 😍 Liz is the most knowledgeable stylist I’ve ever met! I went in needing so much help. My hair is extremely thick and hard to style. I tried coloring my own hair and she made me so comfortable. The atmosphere of the salon is so chill. I highly recommend anyone to go here. Thank you Liz 🙏 😊 I got a balayage and style and all my color mistakes got corrected!!!
