Alexis radiates a welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient personality. I’ve been seeing her for almost 10 years and she continually gives me what I ask for, or better. I greatly value her willingness to thoroughly explain the process behind dyeing/styling my hair, which ensures I always make an informed, healthy decision. Not to mention, her studio is so cozy! It has everything you could ask for, including elegant décor, delicious lattes and snacks, cozy music, and head massages to die for. You truly feel listened to, and cared for, in her chair. I’ve been going to Alexis since I was a kid. I have 3b curly hair. Not many people know how to do my hair. Alexis is very patient and explains every step whether it comes to getting a hair cut or highlights. Her pricing is very reasonable, and I have always had outstanding service. Alexis makes you feel right at home in her salon. It is very cozy, you even get scented hot towels during your hair wash. I could not imagine going to a different hairstylist.

She does an amazing job!! I have been a client of hers for several years now and have always been 100% happy ! She is so good with color and highlights!! I have been going to Alexis for years! From dealing with always having thin lifeless hair to struggling with hair loss from thyroid cancer, Alexis helped me through all of my hair phases! She has helped bring my hair back to life and make it healthy and fuller again. She always listens and creates a plan based on what is best for you and your hair journey. So thankful to have found her years ago and to have hair I love again! 10/10 recommend her!

I’ve been going to Alexis for my hair for 7 years. Basically after I moved to Frederick from DC, I tried a few places. Once I landed with Alexis, I’ve never gone anywhere else. She’s magic with hair color. Listens and offers advice for cuts/color/style. At this point, she knows more about my life than most of my friends 😂 I always leave with fresh looking beautiful hair! Also, side note, I love that she never ever pushes product. If I ask her, she’ll offer advice or ideas but never offers unless asked.

I started going to Alexis a little over a year ago hair with layers of box dye in every color possible. I really wanted extensions. She told me she would not put them in until my hair is healthy again. A year later of reviving my hair, I finally got my dream extensions. Thank you Alexis for taking the time to 1. Educate me on my hair and 2. Only doing what is right for my hair and what it could handle at the time. My hair has never been healthier!

Alexis is the best hair stylist I have ever gone to. She is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and attentive. Not only does she know what you would like but also makes sure you are comfortable. I have never dyed my hair before so I was on the hunt for a better than great hairstylist. Maybe it was my luck, but I ran into the worst customer service ones until I met Alexis. I DM’d her on Instagram and followed the link to her website and she was in contact with me shortly after. She is always very quick to respond and the way she interacted with me made me feel like I have known her forever and that I could trust her doing my hair, probably for the rest of my life. She gives off a very warm and welcoming vibe right off the bat. Her area was very clean, well kept, and organized. My hair turned out just like I have always wanted and it definitely shows it wasn’t a DIY box kit project. I would, and I will, recommend her to anyone I know.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Alexis was the first stylist to take on my disabled mother and make my mom feel like her beautiful self all over again. I was declined from multiple salons due to my mother being in a wheel chair and needing assisted transfers, I was told it would be a liability. Alexis never questioned doing my moms services once. She instead improvised and worked with us better than I could have hoped for with patience and grace. She truly made my mother comfortable while starting her journey back to platinum blonde ❤️ she was very thorough and explained why the color would come out the way it did as my mother is on many medications and luckily she was educated enough to give us the why but my mom still absolutely LOVED it, before she even saw it lol. It’s the first time in almost a year my mom has felt beautiful and just more like herself. She really catered to my mom from trimming her bangs exactly where she wanted them to having a coke waiting for her along with snacks, and a peaceful playlist that was perfect for my mom since her stroke. I couldn’t recommend or thank her enough. Truly a beautiful soul that does amazing, beautiful work. ❤️

My mom and I love our hair so much and it’s all thanks to Alexis. I was about to give up on my hair and she brought it back to life and I can’t thank her enough. It’s not just how my hair is, it’s her personality and how much peace she brings in her salon. It’s like a mini vacation and she is definitely worth every penny. ;) She is sweet and understanding and brings so much positive energy into everything!

Alexis is fantastic. A young and hip stylist that doesn’t make this old lady feel ancient. She listens yet educates me on what my hair can do. When I’m out of ideas her suggestions are spot on. AND she’s COVID compliant. When my chronic condition requires her to mask up she’s happy to oblige. Run don’t walk to Rex Artistry.

Alexis is so talented! The overall experience at Rex Artistry is fantastic. If you want a warm, welcoming, competent and talented hair salon, this one is for you! From the moment you walk in, Alexis has a bright smile on her face and she is ready to tackle what ever new do you have in mind. She never fails to mention any kind of education, or pro’s and con’s of your requested service. Before she starts, she makes sure that you are on the same page. She is bubbly, fun, and talkative, which is important to me! She offers a huge selection of services, retail, and she even has snacks and drinks… what’s not to love about that? Blondes look no further! Alexis specializes in all things blonde. I have long hair and ask for a blended balayage that will grow out soft with an icy-neutral tone and she delivers every time! I have been coming to RexArtistry for 2 years after moving from out of state and have never needed to look elsewhere. Her prices are very fair for the service and artistry. Highly recommend!

I came to Alexis back in 2020 when my hair was in shambles. It was finally the long length I wanted it to be, but unfortunately it was super dry and bleached. I walked in and basically said "help me". Alexis does what she does best! She worked her hair magic and after seeing her consistently, my hair is finally super healthy at my dream length with my dream color!! I love her whole aesthetic. She's rustic mixed with boho and her personality shines through her work space. Coffee? She's got it. Rushed to your appt and didnt grab a snack? Dont you worry, she has it all. Did someone say thirsty? Water or soda, you name it! It's such a great experience being in Rex Artistry's salon and I always leave so happy with my hair. The work she has poured into her business is amazing! I can't wait to work with her for my wedding hair!!!!! <3

I’ve been going to Alexis’ for a year now and couldn’t be happier. I’ve spent a couple months trying to find a new hairdresser since my last one of 5+ years decided to retire and my hair is everything to me, so I wanted to find someone I could trust. So when I went in for consultation and Alexis started asking my hair history and what my hair goals are I was very happy!! I was like yes, this is the one! I love how she goes in-depth about my hair and what kind of style I want! She is truly amazing at what she does! She will always make sure you get what you want and leave with a smile on your face. I’ve been seeing Alexis regularly since 2020 & absolutely adore her & her salon! I’ve never stayed with a hair stylist for more than a year, but Alexis nails it each & every time and her chill, low-key attitude makes it impossible to want to try anyone else. Over the years I’ve done balayage, lowlights, highlights, root smudges, and cuts with her, and highly recommend all of the above. One of my favorite things about Alexis is how helpful and decisive she is. I’m not always 100% sure what I want to do when I sit in her chair, but she’s always patient and gives great advice and guidance, making the decision with me when I ask for help, rather than putting it all on me. I also love that she continues to further her education by going to conferences, learning about new techniques and new products, gaining additional certifications and networking with other small businesses. She is constantly pushing herself and her business to grow and thrive! Her salon itself has such an easygoing vibe & she’s done an excellent job at creating a relaxing, cozy ambiance that showcases her casual and fun personality. 11/10 recommend! Lexi is an amazing stylist, artist, and friend. Her salon is always so cozy and welcoming stocked with plenty of snacks and drinks. She is always bubbly, friendly and easy to talk to. Her exquisite skills make each appointment so relaxing and enjoyable. She can turn any style vision into reality. I have never been disappointed walking out of her salon. I 100% recommend!
