I'm new to town and was looking for a new stylist. I saw the "LGBTQ+ owned" tag and decided it was my first stop. Erez did a wonderful job with my hair and gave me so much useful advice. He's well traveled, a good conversationalist, and has two of the cutest little dogs. He asked if I would like to try something new, and I was not disappointed. I even got a treat at the end, a watermelon popsicle! Excellent service!

This is one of the best haircuts I’ve received in a while. I recently colored my hair and he knew exactly what I needed to even out the color. He was very thorough and his attention to detail was like no other. I highly recommend this salon for a haircut if you want to impress everyone in your life. He also has the cutest and most well behaved dogs.

Call this man the hair doctor because he fixed me up perfectly! As a person who does'nt know much about hair, Erez styled me up and then some. The cost plus the tip was a bit high but it is worth every penny as he took his time and did things right. When he has another appointment available, I will definently be back! I went into the salon and right away i felt a good energy!! I asked for a trim and hair dye and got way much more as a bday gift from him, he did and amazing job and loved the outcome. would totally recommend to anyone looking for a good hair salon!! He has 2 dogs and they are very playful and cute and are very good company, he sat them right next to me which i loved. He offered me and my dad some homemade coffee which was amazing! 10/10.

I’m very iffy on who touches my hair and usually don’t cut or style it. the last time was over a year ago, but I decided to put my trust into this man, and I’m so very happy that I did! The atmosphere of Rica B. Salon is always welcoming, bright, and peaceful. Erez cuts my hair and does a phenomenal job. He listens to what I want, makes suggestions, and takes time to get to know what my hair is like, which is important for curly hair! One of the best Salons in town. I'm forever a customer.

"I had the worst experience at this place “rica boutique salon”. The stylist or should I say pretend stylist, completely botched my hair. I asked for a simple trim and layers, but ended up with a choppy, uneven mess. They also used a color that was way too dark for my skin tone. I left the salon feeling disappointed and embarrassed. Avoid this place at all costs!"

I came to Erez with a really damaged hair, dry and unhealthy. He took care of my hair and now it’s shiny and feels very smooth and healthy. His hair treatment and the quality of the products were the best I ever had. He is very friendly, listened to exactly what bothered me and cut exactly the amount I asked for. He was never pushy like many other hairdressers. Very recommended and looking forward to be back for my maintenance.

Thank you for providing me with amazing service. I suffer from dry scalp and frizzy hair, I love the treatments applied on my scalp and hair that left my hair feeling so soft and silky for weeks. Also loved the hair trim that kept the length of my hair long while making it appear more voluminous. Definitely coming back and recommend this service

This man said he knows what he was doing before I sat in his chair, and he LIED! He said he has experience with African American hair and that also was a lie. And I can’t blame nobody but myself because I didn’t check the reviews. So PLEASE CHECK THE REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING. Before he started cutting my hair I said “one second let me clear my hair out first” then he replied with no it’s fine you don’t need to it’s fine just like that, I can start just like that. I said no then it won’t be even in the end when I do clear it out, I should’ve taken that as a sign that he wasn’t a professional. After I cleared out my hair I told him I wanted a “buz fade” that’s when you fade the temple area a little and same with the lower back, he ignored my request and completely did his own thing which was a “mid fade” that’s required taking off way more hair than I asked. Then in the end I not he jacked up my hairline in the front, and didn’t even bother to finish line up the back. In the end I noticed he has ALL OF HIS CLIPPERS in 1 bin filled with different color and textured hair from his past customers and I told him he needs to clean them and he said no it’s fine. Right there was when I realized I made a big mistake letting him touch my hair. Then the man is going ask me to leave him a 5 star review saying “ Best African American hair stylist in Austin Tx, I’ve encountered” I said yes just to avoid commotion. I deleted the fake review he worded and this is the 100% honest review. And also, never in my life have I had razor bumps IN MY HEAD until I let him use those clippers on me. So please be careful when booking and read all the reviews, mostly the bad ones they’ll tell you everything you need to know. Sorry for not leaving any pics but I’m just to embarrassed to post them, because of how disgusting they look.😔

Keratin is good. He puts his heart into doing things. He used keramess on my hair. It's formaldehyde-free, but it's a Chinese product. You can Google Keramess protein keratin and can get more information. (It's the red bottle). My haircut is great, but he cut it too short that I am going through a nightmare and haven't slept for a few nights. I even got a wig to cover it up till it grows. I even mentioned that I want long hair repeatedly and complain about people who made it short before. I had long hair after growing it for two years for my wedding, and I had my engagement shoot that weekend which I had to cancel. I showed him and his assistant my split ends and mentioned cutting only those. He said that he cut it short because of the quality of my hair being bad. He has been there to talk through this phase of mine and to help me accept my haircut. He even ordered Indian food when I was there.

I recommend this hair salone over all the others the service is A1 top tier premium quality the owner is super friendly and my hair came out better than I could've imagined if you need your hair done I strongly recommend this shop I will be a regular here for now on

Erez is a kickass stylist. I took my girlfriend here and it's a night and day difference in both confidence and appearance. The color is a whole new world of vivid and the cut is beyond fantastic. Erez is a super hospitable owner and made me feel right at home while the GF was getting her haircut the experience was made complete with snacks drinks and good music
