I was interested in booking an appointment at this salon so I decided to check it out. Upon reaching the location I witnessed a man (presumably the owner as it was after hours)walk out of this business and accosted a young woman in her car. This man spoke very aggressively towards the young woman and even attempted to hit the animal in the back of her car. This individual kicked the young woman's car and continued to yell at her. Granted there was not any context for the situation but as a young female I was appalled at this man's behavior so much so that I felt inclined to review the business. No matter what happens, this is completely unprofessional and honestly disgusting to watch. I wanted to ask the woman if she was okay but she drove away too quickly. Based on behavior alone, this is a business that will never get my money and hopefully no other women go there either.

Richard cuts our whole family's hair. My wife has been going to Richard's for close to 30 years so believe enough said. Richard's salon is located right next to Markettime foods and across the street from Reubens Eats in Fremont! Make an appointment and you won't be disappointed!!

Great experience for me, my mom and sister! Richard did an awesome job on all of our haircuts, and to he honest, this is my first "real" venture out since Covid, and my first cut in 2 years!! Richard was also so nice to our mom; it's harder for her to get around now, and Richard was very accommodating and kind to her. Thank you Richard!! Super awesome service, super haircuts, and also friendly, accommodating and personable. We all appreciate you!!!

Warning do not use Richard's hair salon, unless you want a bad haircut. He rushes you into the chair, washes, cuts and blow dries your hair in 30min. I went to him 2 times, each time wanting a shoulder length hair cut with long layers. 1st time he asked if I wanted a "shelf", not knowing what that was he said "never mind if you don't like it we don't have to do it again"? A "shelf" is that the back of your hair in cut into 2 layers....horrible. Shame on me I went back to give him another chance, asked for the same long layer cut. I got a mullet!!! Absolutely horrible cut, be ware people.

After having had my haircut by the same person for 24 years, it has been difficult to find someone who I enjoy and trust enough to switch to since I moved to Seattle. My experience at Richard's was impeccable. He is very welcoming, professional and accommodating, and he strives to ensure that you receive exactly what you want. His dog isn't so bad, either. I will be returning there anytime I need a haircut.

I had never been to Richard's before but I was looking for a quick bang trim around Fremont after my last stylist didn't quite achieve what I was looking for. Richard took me in same day and then refused to let me pay for the bang trim even though I hadn't been a client before! Amazing customer service! I will absolutely be back for a full cut/color!

If you want a comfortable place to relax while getting an amazing cut and/or color, Richard is your guy! After finding him in 2013, my search was over. No more going to crowded salons for me. I love the privacy his place offers as well as his pleasant personality. I travel far to see him and it is worth the drive!

Richard is fantastic! I recently learned about him and the zeb-ful outdoor cutting area to go back for my first haircut since the pandemic started. He’s a pro! He listens and has the artistic eye for hair design and it is a joy to be in his presence. He even guarantees his haircut so you can get an adjustment if needed. I did so after one day of settling in to my new doo. He kindly took me in for a fast fix and sent me on my way. Highly recommend...great price great guy...multiple thumbs up for Richard!

Richard's hair salon is a delightful place to see. Lot's of things to consider buying like jewelry and scarves and his lovely dog is so very friendly. AND Richard is able and willing to do anything you need to have done to your hair. My hubby and I go together and come out with great looking haircuts. And we both enjoy the dog friendship when we wait. Richard is very fun to share stories but if you would not like to share your stories he will be very professional and you will love the way you look when he is finished!

Richard is a Fremont neighborhood staple, and the friendliest hairdresser! He's reshaped my hair over the last several years into completely new styles, and gets better with every haircut.
