This was my first time at this salon and I will definitely be back! I got my hair cut at a different place today and they BUTCHERED it- Danny at Rio got me in within an hour and he turned my mess into a beautiful cut! He was so understanding and talked me through every step & made my hair pretty again . He's definitely my new go-to!

ZOE WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! I cannot recommend her enough! She took her time and made sure I was informed with what was going on and kept me comfortable! She gave me cute bangs and pink hair! Here’s a before and after picture. Ask for Zoe next time you stop in!!!

Autumn does amazing work when it comes to long or short styles. It’s very hard to find a stylist in Jacksonville who can do mullets, wolf cuts, and the punk style but autumn can 😍. Not to mention she’s amazing at cutting pixie style hair. I had some before and after pictures but google wont let me attach them!

Autumn is the best hairstylist I have ever seen. She is an expert in everything she does. She goes above and beyond to make sure you get the look you wanted. I left looking better than the inspo pictures. And to top it all, she is the sweetest person who really takes care of her clients!

I highly recommend RIO!! Salon is clean. Everyone is friendly and inviting. Booking an appointment is easy. My hair is thin and fine. Terri does an amazing job of cutting it to look more full. She is also cautious and knowledgeable when it comes to my allergies.

terrible experience recent with hair stylist Autumn, for my 2.15 pm appointment- she stepped out of the studio at 219pm thinking I was not coming for the visit and arrived at 240 pm into the studio and not one sorry from her side - instead she chose to say" oh the studio checked in by 330 client has arrived" then she cut my hair in barely 15 mins and wanted to charge me full price -especially after no sorry no apology, made me wait for that long and tried telling me that I should be valuing her time?? Sorry after this experience with this hair stylist Autumn who showed no respect or courtesy to even wait for reasonable 15 mins post my visit time before stepping out of the studio for her so called break time - that she expected me to pay her for?? I am obviously not going back to his Studio!! also letting other customers know that my prior hairstylists several of them - yes I was a loyal customer of this studio for over 5 years - have left within months to a year always - tells me that the studio likely is not a great place for them to work? All in all terrible customer service not going back!

My sister and I have been a few times and mostly have had great experiences! I went recently to get a curly hair cut with Autumn and am disappointed in the cut :( I hate to be upset about it but she cut most of my length and my layers are very blunt and don’t blend in with each other. I’m not sure how to get it fixed for I don’t want more cut off but this is for sure not what I expected. I would come back to the salon but try a different stylist.

I have been coming to this salon for a little less than a year now and I can't believe I haven't given them the 5 star review they've earned time and time again. The first pic is my hair on a day to day basis (freshly washed and air dried). Everytime I've walked into RIO I've always left feeling like a princess. I've worked with Autumn, Natalie, and Zoe (Apprentice) and have NEVER been disappointed with their service, always getting exactly was I wanted and asked for. I typically get a blowout style with every trim I get and it always looks amazing. In the third lic is what my dry hair looked like after receiving the gloss mask treatment. I love this place and I doubt I'll find anywhere else like it. With friendly diverse staff with a whole range of talents, to the comfy interior, and of course complimentary beverage table, I have been throughly impressed. This place is very clean, very professional and very affordable. My services have also never been more than $80 (with tip.) 10/10 would recommend. (P.S . despite the Redken products being more expensive than I typically spend, the product reccomended to me is now my new go -to in shampoo and conditioner. I noticed a WHOLE difference in my hair texture and recommend at least trying them once if you aren't satisfied with your current home hair care needs.) Hope to see you there!

Lexi is by far my favorite hair stylist in Jacksonville and I wouldn’t go to anyone else! She’s supported me in all my hair choices, from blue black to a balayage, to red and back to black, etc. The entire Rio team is so kind and the salon overall has a great vibe to it. Highly recommend!

5 star: Definitely a service worth coming back to. I was recommended this place a while back by a friend whose stylist was also Natalie. She did an amazing job on my hair, she made sure i was comfortable and before we did anything, she asked me questions and confirmation. She did great doing my hair cut, making sure the length was perfect and her patience with dyeing my hair was great too as we went to almost 7 hours. The result was worth the wait though and I definitely recommend.

I have been coming to Rio Hair for almost a year now. Autumn has been nothing but amazing. She’s very friendly, understands what your hair goals are, does not over charge, has always worked around my schedule and fits me in when needed. She is so sweet as long with the whole staff. 10/10 recommend!!

I meant to write this much earlier but I had a great experience with Daniel! If he stays there for a while he will be my go to hair guy!! He is amazingggg! for one, on top of being super friendly, and personable, he did an amazing job on my hair. For reference I have 3a texture long dark brown curly hair. I wanted to have blonde cool tone highlights. He was SOOOO thorough and very patient. He checked my hair to see how the curls would react to make sure my hair would look healthy still after the bleaching, he went through many sections of my hair. I wanted to keep length long as possible, and he worked with me so well on that. I appreciate to no end hair stylists that can work with textured and won't charge crazy amounts for it. Thank you so much Daniel! you're amazing!!!

Mackenzie is the best!!! I have been seeing her for a couple years now and she has always made me leave with a smile on my face. I leave Rio with the healthiest, softest hair EVER. She is always spot on with what I ask for, and it turns out gorgeous every. single. time. Not to mention this salon is beautiful and clean on the inside, and full of the nicest staff ever. I will always go to Rio!

Lexi was really attentive and caring about my wants and desires for my shag haircut. She worked my curls and took her time to give me the perfect cut. Rio staff are friendly and caring to their clients, great vibe too!
