I love going to see Amy at Ritual! Her studio is well-named as it really is the full experience: a relaxing, quiet space, chill tunes, warm wash with scalp massage, and hot towel with essential oils if you want it. And my cut always looks great. Truly an excellent and calming experience every time!

Amy is an absolute wizard at her craft. A couple years ago I got a really bad bob after having very long hair and it left me feeling pretty traumatized to get my haircut again. Amy has worked with me to make me feel comfortable in the chair again and help me get my hair back to a long healthy length. Now I have a beautiful thick shag and her to thank for it! I look forward to all of our sessions.

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Amy! . The atmosphere is always so inviting and relaxing. As for her skills, she’s an absolute master when it comes to hair extensions. Not only does she have an incredible eye for blending and matching extensions seamlessly with my natural hair, but she also ensures they look completely natural and flawless. The attention to detail is unmatched, and I always leave feeling like a brand new person. If you’re looking for someone who is both talented and truly cares about the experience, I can’t recommend her enough!!!

I have been going to Amy for years now and her talent never ceases to amaze me. She is a hair ARTIST moonlighting as a magician. I have come to her with hair from box dyes and permanent colors. Each time she is able to skillfully get my hair to the place I want it to be in a HEALTHY way! I have no idea how she does it, it is insanely impressive. She is very technical and detailed with anything she does. I’ve had a balayage that was blended so perfectly. She somehow got there from permanent black dye that was deposited in my hair prior and had a green hue to it. I’ve had numerous haircuts, all over color deposits, highlights, balayage, and more by Amy and she kills it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Amy is the literal best! Not only is she super sweet and caring, but she’s fantastic at balayage. If you are a blonde, would highly recommend! I’ve never had such an in depth consultation before hand. And to top it off, her space is beautiful and very vibey.

Amy is excellent! She is the first hair stylist I started to see regularly since I moved to Chicago. She is excellent at all types of coloring. I have gone blonde and now magenta with her help and always get so many compliments on my hair! Amy is excellent and it is very convenience that she has her own salon so you're not in the mix like you would be at a large salon. 10/10 recommend and best stylist I have seen in Chicago!

Amy is wonderful! Getting my hair done was like a nice little retreat from life complete with baked goods and other treats. Her space is so cute. And even more importantly, I have never felt this in love with my hair. I have spent so many years not liking my hair and now I feel like a different person! (Also the products she carries are A+, fyi.) Can't wait to go back!

Amy always provides the best service. Her cuts and color are fantastic. She does waxing, eyebrow tinting, cuts, color, and more. Her salon is beautiful and calming and she uses sustainable products that truly work. And if you get lucky, she might have baked goods to share during your appointment!

Amy came up with a terrific looking, low maintenance style for my hair. She also suggested a wonderful styling product, that helps me keep my hair looking salon fresh. Prices are reasonable. There's plenty of parking nearby. Amy is a great baker, and also has a delicious treat to share.

Amy has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for seven years. I’ve followed her to a few salons and would continue to follow her because she always delivers exactly what I ask for or provides creative and successful solutions when I’m out of ideas but want a change. I’ve had various types of color and cuts ranging from pixies to long layers and all have been fabulous. She’s warm and friendly, her space is bright and she always makes the service feel like a relaxing treat. Cannot recommend her enough!

Every time I step into her space, I am relaxed and calm, as she also is a laidback stylist with her green thumb displayed throughout her studio. All of the products are sustainable and healthy and smell amazing and you can tell Amy really cares about what she does and cares about her clients! She is truly the best of the best. Amy is incredible! I moved to Chicago a year ago and she was recommended by a friend. I love that she asks for pictures of your current hair and what you're looking for before scheduling an appointment. What I love even more though is seeing her in person. Amy is so thorough in everything she does and is incredibly kind and easy to talk to. She does such an amazing job - I would recommend her to anyone!

Beautifully laid out salon with a lovely view. It is full of lush greenery of plants, calming essential oils, and light refreshments of sparkling water and fresh baked goods. Before finding Amy about 6 years ago, I would cry after getting my hair done- never felt like the stylist listened or interpreted my concerns with compassion & attention to detail. But Amy finally cured me of that! She has done beautiful color for me, from balayage to bright pinks, purples, etc. Great cuts & styling every time & always checks with me to ensure I feel good about the style, or offers for me to come back if I feel I need a quick fix. She prioritizes healthy & sustainable hair care products & I’ve really seen the difference that’s made for my hair. And her salon space is the BEST. So chill, good music, pretty plants. Going to see her always brings me back to myself. Highly recommend giving her a try.

Had my first cut with Amy yesterday and was such a great experience — she really listens and cares about what you want, is super nice to chat with, and her space is peaceful and full of beautiful plants. I asked to keep my length but add movement and shape and shaggy/messy layers and I’m really happy with the result — first pic is my hair immediately post-cut, second pic is what it looked like after being in a bun for a few hours today — way more volume than before the cut!

I have been seeing Amy for 5+ years now and she has been transformative and beyond influential for my hair journey. I have actually followed her from several salons and I was so pumped to see her in her own space. I see her consistently about every 4 weeks. She has been such a wonderful person to work with--she is extremely detail oriented, collaborative, and her knowledge around haircare is so beneficial--I usually leave her studio learning something new. I have gone through many hair transformations WITH her, she is always open and willing to trying new ideas and giving the best advice for my hair. She has educated me on how to wear (and embrace) my tight curly hair which has brought me so much more confidence. I usually wear my hair high and tight and she delivers the BEST (and consistent) fade in Chicago. I mean it, THE. BEST. FADE. I 1000% trust Amy with my hair and I cannot imagine anyone else cutting it. Her salon is an oasis--calm, clean, and filled with beautiful plants (and yummy homemade vegan goodies). I’ve been seeing Amy for 7+ years and she’s a super talented stylist. Over the years I’ve had haircuts, different bang styles, all over dye jobs, balayage, and lightening treatments and I’m always happy with the results. Her studio is also a total joy. Since she operates out of Sola Studios, she has her own individual space which she has designed so thoughtfully. Amazing natural light, essential oils, good vibes music and more plants than a conservatory (in a really good way). Additionally, get the deep conditioning treatment with the scalp massage. You’ll thank me later.

When I first moved to Chicago I was worried I wouldn't find someone I trust with my hair...then I found Amy. Her work is above any beyond what I could have ever hoped for when I first sat in her chair! She corrected a rough uneven cut I received before finding her, and has helped me maintain my hair health as I've grown it out over the last 2 years.
