They do not know how to give fades, the lady at first told me that she can do a fade but totally messed it up. Please don’t go there

I wanted to book an appointment online but their website isn’t working, so on 25.06.2024 around 15:15 I walked in, there was no waiting line, I was immediately attended to. I got a wash & dry (shampoo & blowout) from the lady with dark red hair wearing a face mask (which I appreciated). She was very open to my requests regarding which shampoo I wanted (I had brought my own), how many washes I wanted and how I wanted the conditioner applied. She also straightened my hair with a flatiron. My hair looked and felt great afterwards. My hair is quite long, down to my hips, so it required a lot of work, about 80 minutes overall. The process was so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep a few times (and for me this is a very good thing). The final cost was 80 USD and I also added a tip. I would definitely recommend this hair salon. Thank you!

Do not go here for modern haircuts. The old guy could not even do a fade and blend it. Disgusting they charged me 80..

Yeah it’s true the old man can’t do a fade if his life depended on it. Even tried to talk me out of the hairstyle I came there for. The fade is uneven and poorly blended… no frills here either, no razor finish no line up nada

Raffaele will give you the best haircut in Manhattan. I walked in and started to tell him what I wanted and he said no need, I've been doing this for over 50 years. He then proceeded to give me the best haircut I've ever had. He said he wanted to shape my hair so that it looks good everyday until I went for the next haircut. Here I am 3 weeks later and my hair still looks great.

A very chill atmosphere , and pleasant place to get one's hair done. I personally recommend Gary DiMora, who has cut my hair many times over the years and I have followed him to whatever salon he relocated to next. He's personable, professional, friendly, and gives you exactly what YOU want, not what he prefers you to have , as many hair stylists tend to do. Gary aims to please and is a very talented hair stylist that keeps up with the latest styles , techniques and trends as required. He never let me down. Great service! The only barber shop that gives you a free shampoo with your haircut. Raffaele is a superb barber. I have been going to him for years when I worked in midtown and since my retirement, I still travel from Forest Hills to get my haircut from him. Owners: Raffaele and Zeff make a great team. Try it you'll like!!

RJ Hair Salon is great. Great haircuts, great price, and really nice folks. I've been getting my hair cut by Gary for years now and he recently started at RJ, and i've got nothing but good things to say about him and the place. RJ Hair Salon is located in midtown on 50th St just off Lexington Avenue, a perfect place for any tourist staying in the many hotels in the area. Also, a great shop to stop at during lunch hour. It's a clean and neat place and is serviced by a fine staff consisting of Gary, Zef, Raffele and Agnes. Two master barbers and two fine hair stylists. They can handle every request.

We had an amazing experience at the RJ barber shop. My son usually doesn’t like anyone to cut his hair like most little kids he gets very anxious. However they have a great team that is very understanding and patient. He enjoyed the experience and doesn’t mind coming back.
