I have been seeing Roxy at Roar for a couple of years now and she is the absolute best! She takes time to learn about her clients and thoroughly discuss what you want to do with your hair. She listened to my concerns about my growing bald spot and was able to offer a hair care plan to help my hair become more healthy. Her haircuts and beard trims are always detailed and I leave feeling confident! It took me a long time to find someone in Austin I could trust with my hair…Roxy is knowledgeable, kind and the haircuts are always on point! The knowledge and time Roxy brings to the haircut makes it worth every penny.

I have been seeing Roxy at Roar for three years now, and have had the best experience. I've changed my hairstyle a couple times out of indecision, and when I finally nailed down the style I wanted, Roxy helped me coax my hair back into shape. Now, we do a hair growth treatment and general reshaping of my angled bob with side swoop bangs. Bonus: we get to talk about our cats, food, and travel when I'm in her chair. Roxy is incredibly knowledgeable of her craft, is dynamite with blades of any kind and a blow dryer, I always feel relaxed while there, and I always leave looking gorgeous.

Roxy at ROAR Salon has been my trusted go-to stylist for over three years now. I have had scary experiences in the past when it comes to hair coloring and when I went to her, she was fully transparent about exceptions of process and how to safely get me to where I want without damaging my hair along the way. I always wanted to have blonde and she got me there! I felt SO good to have healthy and beautiful blonde hair. I also am obsessed with the fall season color look she gave me when I was ready to move away from blonde. I will neverrrr go to anyone else. If anyone is looking for a stylist who is familiar with working with curlier/ thick hair, wants to go blonde or take blonde away safely, loved feeling taken care of and wants to have their stylist understand their vision and turn it into beautiful art……then Roxy is your person!!! 💗

Never pressured to do something I'm uncomfortable with but always willing to do the best for me. I got a cut with Vina and I loved it. I went in just to cut bangs, but when she saw my hair she suggested a full haircut, and I'm so glad I went with it. She gave me a style I've never had before, and it was the best cut I've had in a long time, with many different stylists, too (I live in NYC). A week and a half and a handful of washes later, I'm still really happy. The salon itself is cute, and Vina was so friendly and trustworthy. I also appreciate how she trusted me in return--sometimes haircutters don't give me what I'm asking for (maybe they try to give me something they think will look better!) but Vina rolled with it, and I had a great experience.

Erin Millington is an absolute gem! She is The most talented stylist ever. I can say this with certainty, as I have received cuts and color from her over the years. On occasion, I have gone to other stylists all over Austin. Although most of the other stylists were indeed lovely, only one other could hold a candle to Erin. She has consistently dazzled me with her expertise and I thank God every time I see her because I know I will feel like a beauty queen by the time she works her magic on my fine, curly and stubborn hair!

Been looking for a new stylist and have been having a hard time finding someone that I like and that actually ever has any availability. Ended up with Vina on a whim and she did a great job! Last few cuts I've had haven't been great so it was nice to finally walk away happy with how my hair looks. Will definitely book with Vina again!

I believe (and my sister confirmed) that this is the best hair cut and color that I have ever had in my life. Mercedez is brilliant— a true chemist with coloring—and also very down-to-earth. She is wise in her approach, has a fantastic temperament, and handles her clients like one would expect of a veteran-stylist. I cannot recommend Mercedez and her services enough. As such, I have already sent my friends her contact information. While admittedly I normally put-off going to the salon for as long as possible, I am so pleased with my hair that I will return very soon.

Vina is AMAZING! Such a chill vibe at ROAR, felt very welcoming and my stylist was so sweet. I have a LOT of hair and rarely let anyone other than me touch it, but I am very glad I trusted Vina. If you need vivid colors she is THAT girl!! 😍 Even beyond the fun color, my hair is dark and very long and she got such a nice even lift in one round of bleach which speaks to her skill and timing of application. I've been doing vivid colors on my hair for 10 years, I know a good bleach job when I see one! Cannot wait to come back and get some more color done! Vena Jane was excellent! She has a very calming and relaxed presence, while still being personable. I’ve had many somewhat poor experiences with other stylists who didn’t quite listen to what I was asking for, neglecting my desire for lighter roots or not considering my hair type fully, but my hair came out PERFECT with Vena! It’s got depth, character, bounce- she actually knows how to cut wavy hair and how to add the most beautiful dimensions. I’m thrilled with my experience and felt super confident starting my new job. I love this salon so much It took a few experiences around Austin to find the perfect place for me and this is it! Vina is the best!!! She always listens to exactly what I want for my hair and makes it happen. I appreciate that she is detail oriented and such a pleasure to talk to! The salon is clean, aesthetically pleasing and easy to book and manage appointments with. All the staff is friendly and It doesn’t feel like a judgmental environment which can be hard to find in higher end salons They also use very high quality products and I always leave happy I highly recommend trying Roar especially if you live downtown, you will not regret it!

I recently moved to Austin a few months back and was having issues finding a decently good consistent stylist. My cousin recommended Roxy at ROAR. Which was recommended to her by her stylist Christina which is also at ROAR. Christina does wonders on my cousins hair and is an extremely friendly and sweet person. This post isn’t about Christina though it’s about Roxy, since she’s the one who cuts my hair. I just really love this place, the environment, and everyone there. Anyways Roxy cuts my hair every week, since I started going to her. I get multiple compliments a day every where I go. She’s a very detailed perfectionist and it really shows on her work. I’ve never been more happier with a stylist in my life than I have with her. She’s super duper cool, down to earth, extremely intelligent, and has an awesome personalty. I always have a great experience every appointment I’ve had with her. I look forward to many more to come. For you decent looking or ugly guys out there, GO SEE ROXY, she’ll easily add 2-3 points to your 1-10 scale, boost your confidence, and you might actually having a chance of getting laid in life after she’s done working her magic.

I absolutely love everyone there. You start building friendships with everyone there. Rory is phenomenal with hair color and Julieanne is an unbelievable hair dresser. I had a fear of cutting my hair ever since I was little due to an experience I had gone through. I never trusted anyone to touch my hair. Rory and Julianne has helped me to face my fear.... I truly appreciate them both. Im huge on reviews and when I looked up Roar and seen the reviews I had to try it. Omg! I will not go anywhere else! They helped me with my transformation and they cut about 17-18 inches off and changed my hair color. I've had nothing but compliments.. I wanted to share my before and after pictures..

I started my hair renewal journey this year with Roxy and let me tell you…game changer. I was doing my own hair for 3 years at home to save money and because I honestly didn’t find myself happy with my past stylists but Roxy is incredible. She’s absolutely amazing! So professional while also being so welcoming and kind. She walked me through every step and I left the salon so happy. 10/10 would recommend.

I cannot rave enough about this salon! Erin was and will forever be my stylist!!!! First, the location may be in a busy area but the salon is placed in a scenic area of the street and the inside of the salon is has the perfect ambience for relaxation. I received an all over color with extentions that have heads turning my way!!! But it was the service I received that I appreciate the most. Erin made me feel so welcomed and informed me of the processes and how to take care of the services I received. The icing on the cake was the final results! If you want to feel and LOOK like a MILLION BUCKS, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ERIN at ROAR SALON!!!
